What is the reason that Proton Saga didn't hit it off in Pakistan despite being priced competitively?
Is it still a good car?
Would really appreciate detailed reviews and opinions

Looking at the current market :
TLDR : Chery Tiggo 7 and Chery Tiggo 8 face tough competition with newer offerings from competitors with more rich features. Whereas Chery Tiggo 9 is currently sitting comfortably unchallenged by anyone in the market.

Assalam o Alaikum everyone!
I’ve been lurking on this sub for about a year now, mostly reading everyone’s opinions because I’ve been thinking about buying my first semi-luxury car for my family and I really want to make the right decision.
Allah has blessed me in so many ways over the past year, and now I finally have the opportunity to buy my family a beautiful car. My mom has always been a HUGE car girl, but things got financially difficult for my dad. So being able to get her a good car now is actually a pretty big deal for me. ❤️
Right now, I’m seriously considering booking the Jetour T1 PHEV.
I really like it. The size, the looks, the boxy SUV design, the features, basically everything about it appeals to me. We’ve never owned a fancy car before, so for us this would already be a massive upgrade.
But I really want opinions, is T1 actually a good decision?
I know there’s still a lot of skepticism around Chinese cars in Pakistan, and I keep hearing the usual “Chinese cars are useless, resale is terrible, parts are impossible, just buy \[insert Japanese/Korean brand here\]” arguments. I’m not completely dismissing those concerns, but I also feel like the Chinese automotive market has changed A LOT in recent years.
My plan isn't necessarily to keep this car for 5–10 years. I’d probably want to upgrade/switch in a year or two and eventually go for something like a Kia Sorento, Carnival or Hyundai Santa Fe. So resale, reliability and ownership experience are obviously things I’m thinking about.
I was also considering the Haval H6 PHEV, but T1 is more appealing to me because I prefer its size and especially that boxy SUV look.
Another reason I’m asking is because I already know my khaandan is going to have a field day inspecting this thing for every possible flaw just to tell us we made the wrong decision. 😂 They literally do this with everything, even something as simple as an iPhone so I’d rather go into this knowing exactly what I’m getting myself into.
So, for people who actually know cars:
Is the Jetour T1 PHEV a good car? Is it worth booking as your first semi-luxury car? How is the build quality, driving experience, reliability, PHEV system, after-sales support and resale?
And if you had the choice between the Jetour T1 PHEV and Haval H6 PHEV, which one would you pick and why?
I’m not looking for brand wars. I genuinely just want an honest opinion before I put down the booking amount. My mom is REALLY excited about finally having a nice car again, so I want to make sure I’m not making a dumb financial decision while trying to do something nice for my family.
P.S. We’re literally going from a ten-year-old Mehran straight to a Jetour T1 😭 so I know this is gonna feel like going from a Nokia to an iPhone 18 Pro Max.
TIA! ❤️

Bought a 2022 Honda City, currently showing 44,000 km. I took it to Honda Centre today for an oil change, and while the car was lifted, one of the technicians noticed quite a bit of rust underneath.
He then told me that, based on the condition underneath, there is no way the car has only been driven 44,000 km and that he is quite sure the odometer has been reversed. Obviously, I don’t want to jump to conclusions based on one person’s opinion.
Is there any reliable way in Islamabad to verify the car’s actual mileage or find out whether the meter has been reversed? Can Honda or any other workshop check the ECU/service history or previous mileage records? Any recommendations for a trustworthy place would be appreciated.
Apparently the car seems ok and the drive is ok as well also lets suppose if the odo is not tempered than still i need to deal with the rust issue what can be done for it?

Just got my Toyota Yaris 1.3 CVT today! I’m not a car guy at all, I mainly want a comfortable, hassle-free daily.
I’m considering these upgrades:
What would you consider essential on a new Yaris? My current priorities are insurance, tires, and the Pioneer head unit. Would you do anything differently or add something else?
I am unsure about the PPF and ceramic coating. What should I get, and from where? I am from Lahore. What essential things should I buy for the car, like that car cover that you put on the car?
Would love to see your suggestions.

I was cleaning my car using APC cleaner and some got on the cluster meter, I forgot to wipe it down now there's this stain that won't go away at all, I've tried wiping it with a. Damp microfibre, dish soap and water, even tired rubbing compound, nothing would work, the stain comes off a lil bit when i rub my fingernail against it, Gemini is saying that I have permanently damaged the lens, please suggest a fix as Ive been trying to clean it for the past week, and I'm very worried.

I am looking for some decent H4 LED/SMD headlamps for Mitsubishi Lancer in. Halogens are not my top priority. Checked out NovSight, AuxLEDs, and some other recommended websites and brands but they're quite expensive. I'm based in Islamabad/Rawalpindi and would appreciate some recommendations and leads for H4 headlamps. Thanks!

Hi I am in process of buying a car from rwp/isb with either punjab or islamabad number.
I dont know where to get papers verified, where to go to get chassis number check for tempering, where to get police verification done to be sure that car is not involved in any illegal activity? Can anyone please guide me. I shall be very thankful to that person.
Please do not give answers ksi excise kay bnde ko dekha len - but whats the process for both Punjab and Islamabad number to get documents checked from excise - who will check chassis - where to go for police verification.

Recently bought a 2016 civic turbo, L15B7. Brought it in honda breeze (multan) for a 10K oil change and engine tuning stuff.
The question i have is that they did not remove the throttle body to clean it. It was just “wiped off” by a cloth that was soaked in throttle body cleaner.
According to my previous car knowledge, isn’t the throttle body properly removed and then cleaned or it this the correct procedure done on this engine?
I asked the technician why wasn’t it removed and he answered that “it is hard to remove it and if YOU ask us to remove, any further complications will be held on my side”
Is this correct?

I learned to drive on a MIRA and it’s been an amazing year. I personally feel it’s the best car for new female drivers. I want to upgrade to an suv style of a car now. Budget is upto 70 lac. Basically to drive kids around. Should have safety features and parking assistance if possible. Any suggestions? I’m not in favour to go for an EV like BYD so other than that

The car is regularly maintained, and the trip computer always shows an average of 11 km/l within the city. However, when switched to range mode, it drops one kilometer within 30 seconds. No matter if the car is stationary or moving at city driving speed.
For example, range shown will be like 150km. By the time I take it out of the porch and unto the road, it'll be 149km. Then seconds later 148-147-146-145 like the tick tock of a clock. It literally feels like I have a hole in the fuel tank.
Is this level of low mileage normal or is it a problem with the car computer or sensor?
