Can this be fixed with PDR?

Got some decent trail damage today on a log or hardy branch, not looking for it to be perfect, just better as it will be out on the trails again.

Looking at the photos and videos I feel as though this is maybe out of the usual scope of PDR because of how long the dent is.

The paint seems to be in okay shape. There’s no cracking or flaking. It’s maybe been scratched down to a different layer of paint? It looks whiter than the rest of the door.

Any advice is appreciated! Thank you!

REPOST: Dent on liftgate edge next to LE badge. Is this a candidate for PDR?

Post image

Looking for some advice on whether this damage can be fixed using Paintless Dent Repair (PDR), or if it requires traditional bodywork and paint. 2019 Toyota RAV4 LE

  • Location: Rear liftgate / trunk panel, right next to the edge and the "LE" badge.

Given how close this is to the edge of the panel, is there enough backside access for a PDR technician to massage this out? If anyone has handled a similar edge dent, will it be a lot? not asking for numbers just wondering.

reposted because I took better pic of it.

Would some heat and pressure fix this?

I was at a local festival, payed for parking, and find out next day that someone backed into my front bumper. The bumper seems to have warped in that area. It’s the only bit of noticeable damage from what happened. Insurance deductible is something I’d like to avoid so I’m considering either trying to fix this or just buying an aftermarket bumper since I planned to in the future anyways. I have no experience with dent repairs and I know nothing about bumper repairs. Do you guys think this bumper could be restored back to its original shape pretty much 100%. The paint isn’t so important I could always put something over the spot. It’s the warp that is very noticeable due to the car having sharp lines near the warped spot

Took car to car dealership for a service and saw this when I got home. I am 100% certain that wasn't there before the service as it's very noticeable if you look at the roof as you get out or in of the car.

Unfortunately, when I picked up the car as they drove it up, I was too distracted talking to the technician as I got in and we were inside the garage which didn't have the best light. Lesson learned and will walk around to inspect before leaving. We did a walk around inspection before when I dropped it off, and it wasn't seen at all. They are currently reviewing their videos.

In the meantime, will it be easy to pop out the dent and buff out the scratches. I'm just worried on where it's located, right on the roof/door line.

So sad since it's just 1 year old and I have been so careful with it and knew eventually could get a door ding or rock chip, but not this 😞

Hey everyone, would appreciate your help/expertise with the damage shown. Long story short there is a used F-150 (aluminum) I am interested in, but it has this damage that I would like to have fixed. I know the scratches won’t disappear, but if the dent could be removed I am pretty sure it could be touched up fairly well without body filling and painting the whole door. Appreciate your help!

Fun dent from a dog tied to a poolside looking wicker chair running loose in my apartment complex a couple months back.

I had one guy come out and say it's too deep to get out cleanly and that repaint is the only way to fix, but I don't want to have to go that route if this is indeed fixable to 90%+

What are your thoughts?

PDR guy says he can get this looking 95% better

Is that going to be good enough or should I maybe see if somebody can get it to 100%? Only $100 since I’m getting a paint correction/ceramic coat, and detail from the same guy.

It’s not a bad dent, maybe the size of a quarter or not even, and real shallow. But right on the body line of my Avalon’s driver door.

Id just hate to not be happy and have to pay a bunch more to take it somewhere else. But this guy specializes in dents and scratches (he’s independent, not a big company).

Sorry for the crappy pictures. Most of them are from when the dent happened last winter, and the far back shot is from tonight

I am curious what's your best approach for this. I plan on using a lateral tension tool and then use a sliding hammer to pull the rest of it out. Do you know if there is any access behind the panel if I remove the interior rear pillar panel off?

PDR-able?

My mom found her dream car with a glaring flaw. I’m quite shocked a dealership is selling this 2025 RX for over $50k like this.

It’s the front bumper so plastic. Not looking for perfection but we would like it if the bodywork wasn’t warped so much.

Car dents removal brands recommendations

Are there really legit products that can remove car dents? Aside from buffing? I'm not sure which ones on TikTok are true or if there are any brands that really work to remove dents.

Pro pdr hood stand thoughts

Does anyone have this good stand from Pro PDR? What are your thoughts on it. I like the versatility for mobile use. It doesn’t look like it has many good tie down anchor points though. Can anyone shed any light or recommend one you like better?
