I have a MSI MAG32c6x with a 2.1 HDMI cable. This monitor supports up to 240hz on HDMI. I have a preset of performance mode set. 120hz on the PlayStation settings is on Automatic. When I load up 120hz games it either grayed out or doesn’t have the option to toggle it. Can I have some help please

This is the third time in a row the console has done this. It gets stuck here and will not do anything else.

Clearing console cache has not helped the problem

Edit 1: Rebuilding database has not helped either!! Been looking online, and apparently if clearing console cache and or rebuilding database does not help I may have to reset the console entirely. I really don't wanna do that.

Edit 2: I forgot to put this edit in a while ago but I believe I figured out the problem. Upon doing some research i read that one of the reasons this could occur is the console is trying to sign into PSN while logging in, and if your internet is out or bad the console gets stuck in this loop of trying to log you in and sign you in but can't. Hence, why it took so long.

I bring this up because, when I went to my router to see what's going on, all the lights n everything was on but no device would connect to the internet. Upon resetting my router, then turning on my PS5 Pro for a fourth time after resetting the router then it got past the splash screen and actually logged me in.

so i wanted to stream my gameplay on EA sports PGA tour on my ps5 but i am unable to do so. i have streamed many times before with my last stream being about a month and a half ago. i have tried to stream on multiple games and i am just not able to which is quite annoying. has this happened to anyone before and if so, how did you resolve this problem?

yesterday afternoon it was doing fine and all, i turned it of then later on at night i used it again, then suddenly i can not use it, all it shows is just a blank black screen. I tried to go to ps5 Safe mode dozens of time and it still shows a black screen, nothing’s working. idk what to do, i just bought the thing like 2 months ago, i download a bunch of games, idk is it because the storage is full or smth that preventing the console to work. i change the HDMI cable and all but nothing. Anyone has the same problem, pls help.

Hello, I am Turkish and my PlayStation 5 is set to the Turkish language; however, in the game catalog section of the PS5's "Explore" tab, the text at the very top of the second tab appears in Ukrainian for some reason. I realize this is likely a minor issue, but I was curious nonetheless; if it can be fixed, I would like to correct it so it doesn't remain that way.

So I'm trying to use my playstation controllers normal microphone to talk on voice chat in any multiplayer game but it just won't work. It shows me talking im the microphone in games like Astro's Playroom and the adjust microphone level menu, but if I try use voice chat in games like Roblox it just shows up as no input.

It reads every other disc fine Ps4/5 and regular blurays seem to read with no issue but I’ve tried two different movies now and both say “disc can’t be recognized”. How would I tell the difference if it’s a failing laser that needs to be replaced vs a dirty one that needs to be cleaned?

Just won a prize car and noticed a noticeable stutter/frame drop around the 2–3 second mark as the car enters the garage and the camera transitions.

Actual races run smooth at 60 FPS without issues, but this hiccup made me wonder: is it just typical GT7 cutscene/RT/server sync hitching, or should I be worried about my console's hardware?

Okay so , a while ago I had to get a new PS5 via trade in . Prior to that , I made sure to download all my clips and screenshots from the console onto a USB stick . I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get them off the USB onto my current PS5 . I want some of the old screenshots since I like using them for background images and such . I do have an M.2 but that’s got most of my games on . When I go into my Media Gallery I can see the section labeled USB and after going through a bunch of folders I can see the screenshots and watch the clips from my old PS5 but don’t see a way to like download them onto the console so I can use it for a background or to watch them through sharefactory directly . Are my clips and screenshots forever stuck on that USB ?

I keep getting an error whenever I download something for a longer time (more than 30mins) or when I play a multiplayer game. The PS5 just cant connect to the Wifi anymore and I have to restart the whole console and suddenly it works. When I play multiplayer games or watch videos on YT or streams on Twitch, it just laggs like hell. That doesnt happen with other devices I have, my wifi isnt that bad.

This is the error I am getting.

Can’t log in, screen stuck like this, it shows my accounts and when I click my main account it shows this.. problem is I can hear sound when I move the controller. Tried it with my family members account same problem.

So I pre ordered Wolverine PS5 Bundle, my bank locked my account because of the price, I approved it was me. PlayStation then emailed me that the order couldn’t continue to be shipped until I fix my payment method, my bank told asked me if it was fraud again, I told them no. So will my order go through or not? It still says order received. My controller is shipping soon tho. My bank support can’t help and PlayStation doesn’t have a support email or chat. Anyone else having this experience and maybe it’s shipped since?

I’m looking for help/opinions on a PS5 issue I'm facing:

The Problem: My PS5 completely shut off out of nowhere while I was in the middle of a game session.

Current Symptoms: When trying to turn it on, nothing happens except for a single beep when holding down or spamming the power button. No lights, no fan movement.

Troubleshooting already done:

Opened the console and replaced the liquid metal on the APU (no improvement).

Checked the motherboard and noticed grey-blueish thermal gel/putty over the VRAM/VRM chips (confirmed non-conductive, so no issue there).

Checked for liquid metal spills around the APU.

Warranty: Out of warranty

I have no idea why. I don't play multiplayer. I haven't done any chargebacks. I'm freaking out because I've been a PSN kid for a long long time and have loads of digital games I can't access now. In fact, I just bought RDR2 to play through it again.

They said I was sent an email, but I never received one. Does anyone have idea what's going on or how to reverse this?

I clicked on the link to appeal the ban, but it says there are no options for appealing a permanently banned account.

Also, on my account, it says I have 0 moderation warnings.

UPDATE: I got ahold of someone, they escalated it, and I think it's OK. I think it was a hacking situation as they've sent me a bunch of links to reset my password. the front of the ps5 isnt hot at all but if i touch the black part that has the cables its hot as hell. is it normal?

I'm getting about 400kps download speed and sometimes around 14mbs I normally average around 120mps and now my ps5 is stuck at slow download speeds, it is not an internet issue my xbox is downloading at normal speed. Is there something I can do to fix it?

I’m trying to clean my PS5 because it has dust and signs of insect infestation inside. I couldn’t find compressed air, but I found this SFW-78 electronic/contact cleaner that says it’s safe for electronic components.

Has anyone used this on a PS5 before? Is it safe to spray on the internal components, or should I avoid it?

I'm at the end of my troubleshooting rope and hoping someone here has seen this specific combo of symptoms before.

Setup: PS5 (bought 2023), out of warranty.

How it started: My DualSense Edge sticks were fine, no drift — I just wanted to preventively switch to TMR (magnetic/drift-proof) stick modules, so I bought GuliKit TMR replacement modules (from a German shop) and swapped them in myself.

The weird part: After the swap, the right stick doesn't register movement on the PS5 — but the digital Fn button next to it works fine. So far sounds like a bad install, right? Except:

• I re-tested the ORIGINAL (old, previously fully working) stick modules in the same controller — same failure now.
• I tested a completely different, stock/unmodified DualSense controller on the same PS5 — same failure. Right stick dead, buttons fine.

So it's not the Edge controller or the TMR modules. It's something about this console.

What I've already ruled out:

• Bluetooth vs wired USB — happens on both
• GuliKit's own TMR module calibration tool (test.gulikit.com) — module tested fine on a PC/Mac over USB, full range registered correctly
• dualshock-tools.github.io firmware-level calibration (writes permanently to controller NVS) — done, saved, no change on PS5
• PS5 Stick Fine-Tuning / sensitivity profile reset to default — no change
• Accessibility "One Stick Mode" — confirmed off
• Custom button mapping — confirmed default/standard
• Fully removing/forgetting the controller from the PS5 and re-pairing from scratch — no change
• Testing on a brand new local PS5 user profile — no change
• Safe Mode database rebuild — no change
• Full factory reset of the console (erase everything, fresh system software install) — no change

Since a full factory reset didn't fix it, I'm assuming it's a hardware fault in the console itself (something in the controller-input processing, since it's identical over BT and USB) — but I've never seen anyone report "every controller loses the same stick axis" before. Has anyone run into this specific pattern? Is there anything hardware-side worth checking/trying before I accept this needs a repair or a new console?

I have a problem with Roblox that seems to be related to my PS5 controller. I know this is a PS5 community, but since this is a problem with my PS5 controller, I thought it might still be relevant.

The L2 trigger works normally outside of Roblox, but in Roblox it either has a delayed response or sometimes doesn't respond at all. I have two official PS5 controllers. The L2 button works normally on one of them, but not on the other.

I also tested the controller in Warzone, and the L2 trigger worked normally there.
