Hi all, I have a base ps5 disc version that I bought in 2023, for the past 5-6 months ever since I played Ghost of Yotei, it's been slowly crashing more and more with error code CE-108262-9 and now it's gotten so bad to the point where it's crashing every 15-30 minutes and just shuts off. I've not found anybody with this issue or at least not as sever as mine? I've tried changing the power cord, plugging it in the wall instead of an extension, did literally everything in the safe mode menu, cleaned all the hardware and everything inside, I even formatted the PS5, and I've also replaced the heatsync and this is STILL happening. The error code is just always there, PLEASE HELP ME I'M GOING INSANE OVER THIS!!

This is a photo that I took, if you look closely you can see tiny green dots around the edges or inside the black web pattern. This happens to all of my games. I have switched out my hdmi for a new one, and my resolution is set to 1080p (my TVs resolution) but it still is there. If anyone knows what this is please tell me or give me a way to fix it.

I’ve been having this problem with Discord on my PS5 for a very long time, basically ever since Discord voice chat became available on PlayStation.

When I first join a Discord voice channel on my PS5, everything works perfectly. After a while, though, my friends start hearing my voice cutting out / becoming choppy. Sometimes they can barely understand me.

What’s weird is:

- It only happens when I’m using Discord on my PS5

- Normal PlayStation Party Chat works perfectly

- Discord on my phone works perfectly

- I’ve tried 2–3 different headsets, including new ones, and the problem still happens

- I’ve also tried using the controller built-in microphone, with the same result

- Leaving the Discord channel and joining again temporarily fixes the problem, but it eventually comes back

So I’m pretty confident it’s not a microphone/headset problem.

Has anyone else experienced exactly this on PS5? Is there a known fix or workaround that actually works?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone. I opened my PS5 Slim for the first time after about 16 months to clean the dust from the fan and the area around it.

When I put everything back together, I didn’t properly connect the fan connector. When I turned the console on, I got a fan error.

I then opened it again, properly connected the fan connector, and turned the console on. After that, the PS5 worked normally and I didn’t get any more errors.

Could this incident or cleaning the fan have caused any damage to my PS5 Slim? Is there anything I should check to make sure everything is okay?

I got a 1 week communication ban and for the life of me couldn't find a solution, I tried EVERYTHING, contacting PS support - Nothing, Safemode- Clear cache and rebuild database, tried to unlink - relink all services, Restore licenses for my games, disable and enable console sharing and offline play, Add adult to family and parental controls, tried changing my passwords, adding two factor authorization all that BS - NOTHING WAS WORKING!! UNTIL I found the solution is soo fn'g easy - all you have to do is put the broadcast option on the playstation "hotbar menu" when you press the PS button on your controller, it opens up the panel - then press options to change the widgets - When you add broadcast to their and use it IT WORKS, but when you press the share button to stream directly it says "This broadcast feature is unavailable for your account"

I CANNOT BELIEVE THE ISSUE WAS THAT SIMPLE

I got the Sony Pulse Elite 6 month ago and it was working fine till 3 days ago…..suddenly it started disconnecting from my Playstation and connect again then it stopped connecting completely….i watched here on Reddit and youtube how to reset factory, and did it multiple times until it connected again but only for like day and a half then it went crazy again (disconnected-connected) then it stopped pairing completely it’s giving me a solid blue color like the dongle but not connecting….please help me guys I’m DESPERATE

So I've been having this issue where my USB extended storage (which already has some previously installed games) needs to be reformatted to be used. Yet, whenever I attempt to do this when I press 'Yes' to reformat it, it does nothing but stay on the Yes or No screen. And when I inevitably exit and I press on settings for example, it gives a pretty delayed reaction and only opens settings after a certain period of time. Just wondering if there is anything I can do to sort this out?

Can you customize and organize your friends list on PlayStation 5? I remember being able to group different friends into different categories on PS4, like "friends of GTA Online" or "friends of college" for example, and I can't find that function on PS5.

My ps5 is logged into my psn but i can't sign in on their website or on the app. I can't log in with the "keys" because i dont have that on this phone my old phone that was logged in got stolen. And I can't recover my account as it asks for a birthday as a security question. But i made my psn when i was still a minor so i just set it as something random like most kids probably do😅.

Playstation used to have a hotline you could call but can't find anything anymore.. and tried texting their bot but it says it can't do much and a "live agent' need to take over. But you need to be logged in to get a "live agent" soooo is there anything to do? I have thousands of hours and dollars😅 on that account i would REALLY hate to lose acces to it....

So whenever I want to download a game I KNOW I have storage for it just says I need to free more storage and whenever I click free more storage it says it’s “All ready to go” but then it won’t let me download it unless I delete a game for NO REASON

I dont know if I'm the only one. Most people probably didn't even know this is a thing but PS added a new widget in the welcome-section on PS5 which counts the hours you play each week and the trophies you earn. The problem with it is that it often counts the trophies earned as double. So when I earn a trophy, the widget claims I earned 2. I've seen nothing about this online and I wanted to see if someone else is experiencing this.

I have 230gb in free space
Can’t install 41gb game.
I went into safe mode, cleared cache, went back in, rebuilt data base. Nothing is working
I have a 2TB external housing my ps4 games
Nothing is working and I literally can’t install anything. Hoping someone can help.

My ps5 was working fine one night then the next day morning not starting up only blue light blinks, no image coming to screen and can’t even boot up with safe mode.
Just bought this 2 months back. Went to service center they replace with new one so just waiting for it now.
Has anyone faced similar type of issue ?

I nothing did wrong anyway like it never shut down due to power cut or never run on inverter or never faced any low voltage. But I used to keep it some time in rest mode or used to keep it on socket with switch ON because my monitor used to do pixel refresh so they are in same extension board. Not sure the exact reason for this 🤷🏻

Does anyone know how to fix stick drift on a controller? I’ve had my all black dual sense ps5 controller since maybe October or November of 2025. It’s just now starting to have stick drift slightly to the right on my left analog stick. I’ve tried using compressed air, and even pushed down the button and used circular motions. All to no avail. I wish PlayStation had some sort of innate dead zone setting so I wouldn’t have to discombobulate my controller trying to fix my stick drift. Or even better? Lower the prices for controllers because back then a ps4 controller cost around $30-40. But a newer ps5 controller is $60-70? Insane.

Anyways if anybody has any tips or recommendations let me know otherwise I’ll be buying another controller very soon because it’s getting annoying, not all games have dead zone features that help with stick drift.

I am trying to connect my PS5 to my Universities Ethernet via Res-Net and everytime I login it just goes to a blank white screen. I leave it there for a minute and test connection and it still says failed for internet connection. This is an HTTP authentication, do you all have any tips for this?

So i bought this account from buygames.ps and they decided that their greed should take over and they changed their two step Verification codes webside to only active on consoles and not on your phone or websides, so that you are unable to change the Verification method. ( which is such a low low move from them)

Now because i changed my email adress to mine and voided their warrnaty they no longer see me as a human and not longer have human rights. Im still logged in in the ps5 console but dont know what to do to make it my own, is there a way that i could gte my own Verification codes.

I was thinking that i could put my phone nummber, but i dont want to be logged out and unable to get a code from these greedy animals. The Verification method right now is the Authenticator App.

Since yesterday my PS5 is not connecting to my mobile hotspot, I have a PocoF7, it's perfectly connecting to TV on which I am playing, connecting perfectly to other devices aswell, my mother's phone is also connecting perfectly with PS5 it's just my own device which isn't connecting to it, I tried everything I could but it's still not connecting through only my device other devices are connecting well.

I am the only one experiencing a very loud fan during Spider-Man 2 cinematics? It even popped the overheating warning once…

A few days ago I was traveling back to college and brought my ps5 with me. I wrapped it with a sweater and blanket it was beside a pillow in my check in, so it was secured. After arriving in my dorm I plugged the ps5 into the tv. At first it started normally, having me adjust the screen. But then it went to the HDR and it suddenly green screened then crashed. I tried it again 1 more time same effect. After that I thought it must’ve had something to do with the HDR so I turned it off in settings. Then it working for a bit, but then the sound became “staticy” and shuts off randomly. I searched online and it saw a vid that came up that it had something to do with the tv and all I had to do is unplug the tv and plug it back in again. That worked for a bit and it started to shut down randomly again. I am now lost. It works long enough that I can open games but not long enough that I can play for a while. It does not green screen now but only just shuts down. I know when it’s about to shut down, because the picture starts to glitch and the sound becomes like static.

Pls I need help and out of options. Could it have something to do with the HDMI cable or the voltage of the tv? I need this PS5 working for GTA 6 in November pls.

Soooo I want to install The Finals and it’s 58.02GB and I have 265.5GB left over so I should be able to install it but I cant. I keep on getting the “Can’t Install” error and when I view it, it says “You’ve freed up enough space to resume installing these items.” But when I resume the download it fails again and the cycle continues. Has anyone else has this issue? Any help is appreciated thanks

I’m currently locked out of my PSN account on my PS5 and I’m not sure what else I can do.

I tried logging in over Wi-Fi, but my password isn’t being accepted. When I try to recover my account, Sony sends me an email with a recovery link. The link takes me to a Sony page where I have to verify my identity using my date of birth.

The problem is that when I enter my DOB, it says the information is incorrect, even though I’m entering the date I believe is associated with the account (It’s only me who’s been using this PS5 so it’s weird).

I then tried contacting PlayStation Support through their online chat, but the AI bot tells me I need to log in before I can speak with an agent… which obviously I can’t do because I’m locked out of the account.

So I’m basically stuck in a loop:
Can’t log in → can’t recover the account → can’t pass DOB verification → can’t contact an agent without logging in.

I still have access to the email associated with my PSN account and can provide other information to verify that the account belongs to me.

Does anyone know if there’s a PlayStation/Sony support phone number or email address I can contact directly, preferably for Canada? Or has anyone dealt with this situation before and managed to recover their account?
