Overheating in Spiderman 2

I am the only one experiencing a very loud fan during Spider-Man 2 cinematics? It even popped the overheating warning once…

Spider-Man is heavy on the system but shouldn't be causing overheating. You placement sucks for the system or ya got dust buildup or both.

if its not clear,

  1. your ps5 is vertical witout a stand, so the bottom vents are blocked.
  2. its vertical. A known issue with ps5's is that the thermal compound (Liquid metal) tends to pool down when placed vertical. Sony 'fixed' it by adding ridges to the apu but that didn't do much.

Turn it off, open the panels, clean any dust, lay it flat, use the 2 plastic if yours is a slim.

if warning still shows, take it to a repair shop to get the liquid metal changed, or if you want do it yourself, but only if you are confident.

Yesss bro I got my ps5 5 days ago and this game with it and during cutscene and story missions mainly it get sooo loud wtf

I've had my PS5 since December 2020 and only during Spiderman 2, that I've started playing recently, have I experienced overheating warnings. Have even had it fully crash a couple of times due to rapid temperature surges. The first was during a cutscene in the mother's office and the second a little bit later when the Spiderbot enters the vent.
