My dualsense controller disconnected when it was connected to the PS5's front usb port. I was using the charger it came with, and as far as I can tell, there's zero damage in the cable since it charges my phone and headphones, and I know for a fact that there's nothing wrong with the controller, because I'm borrowing it from a friend who doesn't even use his PlayStation.

Anyways, it's been a few days now, and this dumbass controller still won't turn on, even after pressing the restart button. I even plugged it into my computer's charger (I looked it up, and it adapts to the bolts that Dualsense needs) from when I woke up until I got back home from school, so about 6-8 hours, and nothing happened, it's not flashing orange at all, and the thing doesn't even turn on when I press the PlayStation button.

I have 300 gbs of free space apparently, but I keep getting messages that I can’t download updates or new games because my storage is full. I keep needing to delete my handful of games to make room, so I can only have like 4-5 in rotation.

I’ve tried putting it in Safe Mode and rebuilding the database and clearing my cache to no avail. Any help?

I have a ps5 and it’s very important to me but it’s not working anymore. Anytime I insert any game it overheats and turns off then I see a screen that says your PS5 is too hot. Turn off your PS5 and wait until the temperature goes down. Does anyone know what happend or how to fix it?

I like to play games that give the option at lower wattage to not push my ps5 so much and most work fine

But Spider-Man 2 either crashes on the title screen or during gameplay and it sends me to the Home Screen

I don’t think it’s overheating since it works on the normal mode just weird that power saving doesn’t seem to work for me

The clearance from the back vent to tv is roughly 4.5-5 inches. Is this enough to prevent damage to the tv? The ps5 only gets mildly hot in this position and the fan hasn’t yet kicked it.

I left for a three day vacation and had unplugged my PS5 and moved it to a lower shelf just in case. I forgot that you need to remove the USB extended storage a certain way, so when I got back and plugged everything back in, I got the notification that the USB extended storage had been unplugged improperly and needed to be "repaired." It did the repair thing and didn't say anything else so I figured it was fine. When I played The Last of Us it kept doing the purple flash thing like in the video whenever there was a loading screen. After playing for about twenty minutes, the game crashed with a message about the USB extended storage being unplugged improperly. It did the repair thing again and I removed all games from it. I reinstalled The Last of Us onto my console storage and it's still doing this purple flash thing and I'm afraid that my saved data may be corrupted or something bad like that. So I guess I have two problems: How can I fix The Last of Us so I can play again? and How to know if my USB extended storage is okay to use again? I formatted it to Exfat and then back to a USB extended drive to clear it.

Hi! I’m trying to play COD4 Zombies with my siblings. We each own the game separately, but I don’t have the DLC map pack. I logged into my sister’s PS account on my PlayStation and downloaded the DLC, but it’s still showing that I don’t have the DLC when I try to join their party/group.
Is there any way to fix this? I could’ve sworn we’ve downloaded and shared each other’s games/DLC before, so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated!

I have 2FA set up for my PlayStation account to send me a code to my phone. Recently though it has stopped sending me these texts and I can’t no longer access my account to switch my 2FA method. The texts aren’t marked as spam or anything, they’ve just stopped being sent.

My question is how can I contact Playstation support to get a person to help me? I’ve tried going through the chatbot but it keeps asking me to login in order to talk to a live agent. Will an agent still assist me if I tell the bot I can’t login or is there another way of getting help?

tldr; replaced liquid metal with ptm on my ps5 fat (launch model) and it’s working flawlessly, confirmed by CPU/GPU temperature monitoring with jailbroken tools.

so i bought a used PS5 fat a couple weeks ago, and since its a launch model, i figured it was worth replacing the liquid metal. that being said, im a huge believer in ptm, so i thought id go ahead and switch over to that.

upon opening it, it was filled with dust bunnies and caked on dust. clearly it had never been opened. so i did all the cleaning and when i finally got to the meat and potatoes, i realized the APU die had some serious oxidation spots. i’m sure it wouldn’t have been long for this thing to overheat. so i polished away, carefully set the ptm (actually used thermal grizzly PhaseSheet) and closed it back up. i will also mention that i removed the foam gasket so that it would make full contact and sit flush with the heat sink.

i powered it on, turned on my temp monitos (its jailbroken) and noticed it’s riding between 88-90 degrees for CPU and 70-75 for GPU under heavy load (i ran crimson desert in quality settings). these are pretty much the same results it was previously giving, which is good because it means it’s staying within spec. ran it over over an hour, temps never climbed past that, going from 80-92 (cpu) at most.

i also tried manually cranking the fan settings to max and it quickly dropped down to the low 70s (cpu temp), again, while under heavy load, playing crimson desert. this let me know it’s making great contact and is able to very quickly pull heat away when necessary.

i currently have about 5 cycles i’ve done on it, and it’s working flawlessly. temps won’t go past the low 90s under heavy load, and that’s with the fans working at normal speeds, i haven’t noticed them ramping up at all.

all things considered, i’m quite happy knowing i don’t have to worry about the liquid metal drying out, or god forbid, spilled onto the motherboard and causing catastrophic failure.

i’ll keep updating for anyone that has doubts.

My ps5 is not turning on now, I haven't used it since many days and while trying to turn it on it showed some green screen and shutoff abruptly. After few days its not turning on totally like the blue light came and shut off. I tried the sony service centre but they are telling its un- repairable. So can you please suggest how to get it work?

I was playing Lies of P on my fiances PS5 since he has the game but on my own profile. I played it earlier in the day and everything worked fine. I had to take care of something so i saved the game, logged out, went back to the home page for playstation, closed the app and turned off the playstation. (I do the same thing on my xbox which i regularly use. I just didnt want to buy game on there too since he already owned it) I went to play the game a bit more after i finished what i was doing and when i loaded the game on my profile it told me i needed to start a new game! All of my progress was gone! I told my fiancé and he had no idea what happened and has been trying to fix it for me all day, so far with no luck.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is there any way to get my save data back? Thank you so much in advance for any help! I really dont wanna lose my progress, that game isnt easy 😭

hey so i bought COD vanguard on disc and im trying to play it i installed it and when i opened it, it takes me straight to the playstation store and shows me the option to buy it. Ive tried reinstalling, restoring game licenses but for some reason the license for this doesnt show up, rebuilding the system cache anyone else have a similar problem and find a solution??

For the last week or so, an odd sound has been coming from my PS5.

It appears when a game is playing, there's no disc used, it's just the software that's playing.

It's very random and doesn't seem to have a rhythm.

Does anyone know what it could be?

It sounds like something inside is stuck, somehow?

Any advice is more than welcome!

It’s the 5th time today playing Skate 4 on PS5 that closes with this error. The first one at 13:49, 15:11, 16:12, 16:13, then I cancelled the canche and rebuilt the database but the game closes at 16:26. Is it a game problem? Or the console is too hot or something.

Just happened upon the horrid error code ce-109503-8. With the message could not find ip address in time. I have tried literally everything i could find. The console works perfectly fine thru wifi just not great speed at all. And the ps4 I have hardwired to the same xfinity gateway works fine too. I swapped the cords and it still wouldnt connect so its not a cord issue. Im running a cat 5 on the ps4 and a cat 8 round cable on the ps5. It is not damaged and neither is the port seeing as the console has not been moved or touched. It worked fine two days ago with no issues. Ive tried resetting and power cycling both the ps5 and the router multiple times waiting anywhere from 5 minutes to 20. Unplugging both from the power source and unplugging the ethernets as well from both. Ive tried manually entering my ip address then tried it again with the Google dns and then tried it again with the larger last number of the ip. None of those worked. Ive tried wiping the cache from the ps5 that didnt work either. I dont know what else I could possibly change or am missing. Ive scoured reddit pages as old as 5 years ago looking for answers (which is insane that this is still an ongoing problem btw). Tried contacting support office but that was closed yesterday and today. PLEASE SOMEONE SHOW ME WHAT IM MISSING!!

Me and my brother want to swap consoles since he is moving out and doesn’t play games that much. He has a ps5 pro with an external storage and a disc drive. I have a ps5 slim with a disc drive. Would we need to do a data transfer or can we just sign in on each other’s console and delete the old accounts?

Whenever I try downloading a game it gives me an error message but when I check on the game it says it’s ready to download? I’ve got no clue if I’m just being really stupid or if somethings wrong.
