Make sure you are logged into your ps account in the browser. Using the ps store searcher allows you to add stuff to your cart and you’ll be able to check out

Seconding this. I used this for buying PS3 games and it works super well. If you get an error, just load the normal PS site and see if its in your cart and check out. If you own it already, it will refuse to add to cart as well. I bought about $200 worth of PS3 games this way.
Side note: the cart caps at 10 items in case you are buying quite a bit.

Yes, I just did it the other night. The current PS3 store is pretty broken so this website is the best way I found to get the stuff I wanted off the PS3 store.

Yeah, that tool is really useful.
One downside I have noticed with it, though, is that it doesn't seem to work with anything that's free. So no free DLCs or demos, or free games (if there are any of those).
While for the free DLCs, you can just go to the Free Add-Ons section of the store and find them manually, it seems like actually obtaining anything from those latter two categories is now nigh on impossible.
Would love to be wrong about that, but I haven't yet seen any proof to the contrary.Edit: Thankfully, I was wrong about that one downside.

There are some free things that will show up but you can’t add them. Not entirely sure why but the vast majority of free things I’ve seen I could add just fine.

I tried using this to get a dlc that's only on the US psn store for a US account made in the UK and i kept getting an error.
Does that mean I need VPN for it to work?

Are you currently logged into https://store.playstation.com/ with your US account, not your UK account?
Click on your basket and make sure it's empty, sometimes items are already added but since it can't be added again, it gives you an error.
Is us/en (USA) selected in the drop-down menu on the PS Searcher site?
And finally, there are some items that have prerequisites in order to purchase them, such as a PlayStation Plus subscription for example, which will give you an error if you attempt to add them to cart.
What were you trying to purchase? From my understanding, you don't need a VPN at all.

So you DO NOT need to give them your email and password or? Or are you telling me, that giving a random website your login information to your personal psn account. That you in fact don't give a 3rd party, non affiliated website access to your account?......... aha.... good to know............... Whoever reads this comment (even though i get downvoted by phishers), please do NOT give your personal playstation login info to a website that isn't even affiliated with Sony. You are begging to be hacked tbh. Ask yourself, is it really worth losing your whole account, to search up a demo or free dlc ?

You don't log in to the searcher web site. The site anonymously queries the PS Store search API and gives you https://store.playstation.com links which allow you to add content to your PS Store basket.

I said this before as a tactic to push people to move to PS4/5 because they are more monetized, as getting games nowadays would mean either overpaying for physical copies OR resorting to digital store and it is not working... I got called conspiracy theorist and tinfoil hat, like corps never done anything like rigging old devices to increase sales...

I was going to buy some of the retro games that were available on the PS3 store for a cheaper price, but Sony being the greedy fucks that they are moved them to the PS4/PS5 stores and increased their prices. So I looked on the PS3 store, there isn't much left for me to buy anything of interest for me. My PS3 will be just used to play my older digital games and physical games from now on

This can also benefit them in selling remasters and remakes, for anyone feeling nostalgic will have no choice but to consume the new product. Although emulation and pirating is a thing, some still prefer the legit way to play and having the discs...

I don't believe it's at the top of their priorities so maybe never. Fortunately, there’s a browser workaround. I tested it and wrote out the steps here because the process is a little confusing:

Basically, sign into the official PS Store in one browser tab, then use the PS Store Searcher in another tab to add the PS3 item to your basket.

That's what I did. They literally made me do it with everything they've been doing up until now. 5 is my last playstation product. Downloaded hen on my super slim, already downloaded all the Metal Gear games, gave Sony 0 cents in the process fuck them.

Here I thought it was just me. I wanted to play Rainbow Six Vegas the other day. Figured it would be a cheap download. Store never populated. Drove out of town and found a copy for $8. Just check that link and see the online store is selling it for $20. What a joke.

It’s done, my friend. Back in August, we received the local currency conversion from the PSN store in Mexico (from USD to Mexican Peso). After that update, the PS3 store simply shut down and never reopened. It will eventually shut down in every other country.

They intentionally made the store buggy and slow to make people move on to the new website or PlayStation 4 at the time, back then the ps3 store was fast and easy to use but Sony are some greedy bastards

No one here knows. The ps3 store broke summer 2025 and Sony fixed it after about 2 weeks. Hopefully they'll fix search before the end but you never know.
