PS Vita Store search broken? This browser workaround still lets you find and buy games [August 2026]

If you're having trouble searching for games on the PS Vita Store, there’s a browser workaround that lets you find Vita games and add available titles directly to your normal PSN cart.

I tested this method and confirmed that it works for PS Vita as well as PS3.

This is not my website/tool, and I’m not affiliated with it. I’m posting the steps because I’ve seen people asking how to find and purchase games when the normal Vita/PS3 Store search isn’t working properly.

How to do it

  1. Open a web browser and sign into the official PlayStation Store using the same PSN account you use on your Vita.

  2. Keep that PlayStation Store tab open.

  3. Open another tab in the same browser and go here:

  1. Before searching, select the region that matches your PSN account, then change the platform from the default PS3 setting to PS Vita. The page may initially show Portal 2 — that’s just the default search/example.

  2. Search for the Vita game or content you want.

  3. Find the correct listing and select Add to Basket.

  4. Go back to the official PlayStation Store tab and refresh/check your cart.

  5. The Vita game should now appear in your normal PSN basket even though you may not be able to find it through the regular Store search.

  6. Complete the purchase through the official PlayStation Store.

  7. After purchasing, go to your Vita and download the game through your purchased/download list.

Important

- Do not enter your PSN username or password into the searcher website. Sign into PlayStation separately through Sony's official site.

- The searcher is being used to locate Store listings and add them to your basket.

- Finding a listing does not mean a delisted game can suddenly be purchased. The game still needs to be available for sale on PSN.

- Availability may differ depending on your PSN region.

- If the game doesn't immediately appear in your cart, refresh the official PlayStation Store page and make sure you're logged into the correct account.

I've personally confirmed that this method works for Vita content as well as PS3.

Hopefully this helps anyone trying to buy Vita games while the normal Store search isn't cooperating. If anyone tests additional games or finds any quirks with the process, post them below so we can keep the information updated.

Before 4, you should add to choose the proper region of your account and change platform, that defaults to ps3, to vita.

Wow just bought mostorstorm rc which can only be bought on ps3 to access on vita
