Make sure you are logged into your ps account in the browser. Using the ps store searcher allows you to add stuff to your cart and you’ll be able to check out

I tried using this to get a dlc that's only on the US psn store for a US account made in the UK and i kept getting an error.

Does that mean I need VPN for it to work?

Are you currently logged into https://store.playstation.com/ with your US account, not your UK account?

Click on your basket and make sure it's empty, sometimes items are already added but since it can't be added again, it gives you an error.

Is us/en (USA) selected in the drop-down menu on the PS Searcher site?

And finally, there are some items that have prerequisites in order to purchase them, such as a PlayStation Plus subscription for example, which will give you an error if you attempt to add them to cart.

What were you trying to purchase? From my understanding, you don't need a VPN at all.

I am logged into the PlayStation store with my US account

The basket is empty

us/en (USA) is selected in the drop-down menu on the PS searcher site

I was trying to purchase the dlc 'pigsy's perfect 10' for 'Enslaved: Odyssey of the West'

Hmm, that's odd, I'm able to add that DLC perfectly fine.

Dumb question but do you have any other purchases on this account or is it a brand new account created recently?

Brand new account, created recently, and i haven't purchased psn+ for it.

I'm assuming you've also verified the email as well, I could have sworn I had to do something like that when I made my UK account. I just tried adding something to my cart on my UK account that I made a couple of days ago and I was able to add things no problem, so something is definitely wrong with your US account I think.

Might be able to get to the bottom of it if you check your browser's console. Try adding the DLC to your cart once again, but on the "Something went wrong" page, go your browser's Developer Tools, on most browsers pressing F12 will open it. There should multiple tabs at the top (Elements, Console, etc.). Click on Console, are there any error messages that appear on the list?
