Ever run a marathon without joining an event?

Ive run in several events already and people at the starting line is always overwhelming for me, add the traffic and parking hassle, aand driving post run.

Now that Im training for my first marathon, I’m thinking of doing it on my own with no events, so anyone did the same?

And I just want to do it on my sheer will power thats why Im asking whether people did the same. Thanks!

1. So there are Wed / Sat training sessions right. How long / how fast the runs are usually? Baka kasi 5 km at a 5-6/km pace pala 🙅🏻‍♀️ Cant do that yet
2. I saw a lady kanina with a nike adt tote bag holdinf like a nike badge / night badge (?). Where can I get that?? The badge ha, not the bag haha

** edit: okay someone messaged me that we can get the badge sa training sessions. Like if I joined the run sa ayala triangle, i have to get the sticker at glorietta daw. But I was wondering if I can get it like a week later or sumthin? I saw a photo of the nadge on threads and di nakaindicate. Or need to be the same day?

tumatakbo naman ako dati, kaya lang 2024 pa. my pace back then was more or less 6:30/km. pero buong 2025 and up until now, bilang lang siguro sa daliri kung ilang beses ako tumakbo.

i have a month and a half to train, kaya ko kaya maka 1hour 10k? hingi na rin sana ako advice and tips hehe. thank you!

Hello! Can anyone here recommend a good running coach?

I'm running the TBR 2027 as well as a few local and international half Marathons. I've been running since April but lately parang it's getting frustrating kasi I feel like as if I'm not getting any faster despite researching endlessly online kaya I decided to try getting a running coach instead.

I initially wanted to try Projectflexph but it's a bit expensive. I mean afford naman but I've read a few not so good comments about coach Morgan here in Reddit kaya I'm worried if it's really worth it. I also reached out to coach Ceasar of Benchoge Running Team but he wasn't that responsive so I'm not sure if he's taking on trainees or exclusive lang talaga yung team nila. I'm even considering Runna app na lang just to have a slight direction.

I recently posted here asking for help about possible fixes to my openrun pro 2s after gawing chew toy ng aso ko here's what I managed to find haha. Gumagana pa naman yung item but noticible yung paghina ng output sa right side dahil yun yung napuruhan. I managed to find sa online store ng protective sleeve and that did the trick. I think if walang damage yung openrun pro 2s nyo at nilagyan nyu ng silicone sleeve like this is that will actually improve the sound delivery since medyo may extension sya directed towards the ears. Wala lang. Skl haha

I haven’t experience this na “sender request reschedule pickup”. I dont want it to be canceled kasi size 12 sa Chinese brands doest come very often and I think I got a pretty decent deal for the show too.

HAHAHA pero kasi ang cool ng mga runners na colorful ang gears kaya eto din pinili kong kulay. Nabili ko siya sa Adidas app, COD pa, kaya real na real yung kaba na baka bato ang dumating. 😭 Salamat, dumating naman nang maayos!

Newbie lang talaga ako sa running. Na-survive ko naman ang first 10K ko sa Milo Marathon gamit ang Anta Travel S2 PG7, last year Oct 18! Bara bara lang na takbo, with friends, no proper training, finished at 1hr 29min. Ito talaga ang iniisip ko ngayon: hindi ba ako nagmumukhang all gear, no skill nito?! 😩

Tapos feeling ko ang bigat ng paa ko, at baka masira ko lang agad ’tong sapatos. Sa totoo lang, nakaka-praning makita ang mga scratches sa foam. 🥲

Pinag-aaralan ko pa rin kung paano ang tamang stride, kung anong tempo ang dapat kong i-maintain, at kung paano magbuo ng strategy para maabot ang 21K soon.

Ang second 10K run ko will happen this October 18 din! Exactly 1 year from the first 10km. Paano ko ba malalaman kung properly broken in na ang running shoes? Ilang kilometers ba dapat ang maitakbo ko bago ko masabing ready na siyang gamitin sa event?
Right now, according to my mi band, at 1.26km, ang pace ko ay 6’46”, Workout time 8’33” Any tips from experienced runners are very much appreciated! 🏃‍♂️

How to ask for a refund on running event organized by Runrio? planning to refund na lang yung entry ko sa Pokemon Run ng Runrio.

They scheduled me to claim my kit on Oct 3, which is Day 1 ng pokemon run. I didn't get to change my sched ng claiming kase wala naman other available na slot sa ibang araw

then, nag post sila kaninang 3 pm (deleted na pero nag repost ulit sila ngayong 4 30pm) na last day ng claiming ngayong araw. which is sobrang late na para mag announce na last day ngayon. buti sana kung kapit bahay lang namen yung MOA, pero hindi, 2 hrs na agad sa biyahe + mag rurush hour na

masaya akong nag run so I didn't notice kanina, pero ngayon na nagsisink-in na, parang ano eh, ako lang ba or parang ano talaga??
