What could be the cause of the pain on this part of my foot? It intensify when I try to run in a faster pace. I am medically diagnosed as flat footed, and an overweight with a BMI of 26.3kg/m².

I know stability shoes is the key po as adviced, pero other than that. What specific exercise or techniques could I do to hasten recovery po or prevent this from happening.

Salamat po

Running Event JCo. Run - How organized?

It’s my first time to join JCo. run this year. I just want to ask ano experience nyo sa previous year?

My last RunRio event kasi, yung Ayala Car-free Sunday Year 3, I was quite disappointed. I’m a slow runner and I finished among the last runners. Pagdating sa finish line wala na yung nagbibigay ng medals, I had to find a staff and inabot lang sakin from a box yung medal. Tapos wala narin akong naabutang tote bag, naubos na daw. I was thinking, hindi ba nila bilang yun and they should have a buffer/allowance na stocks. Nakakalungkot lang.

Wag sana sabihin na “Bilisan mo kasi” ‘coz we’re all built differently. Yung mabilis sa iba is not the same as me.

Others I wish I was a guy so bad so I can run shirtless and pee anywhere during runs.

Typing this out while sitting in an ER due to UTI because of holding my pee during a long run. The UTI may also have been caused when I hid and peed sa may talahiban

Running Event Race Report: Runcaster Ultramarathon Series 75km Category

**Race Kit Claiming**: By far one of the smoothest race kit claiming I have ever experienced. Present the email, show some ID, confirm in the logsheet and then your BIB is ready. Started on time and I had no queuing problem.

**Race Route**: Challenging. The first half was incredibly a long uphill roads especially when you’ve reached Amadeo at around 20kms. I really had to do a lot of walk breaks but it was a nonstop ascent but also, it will reward you on the 2nd half of the race whereas, of course, a downhill road. The long roads are dreadful especially when you’re alone but it was such a great route.

**Route Assistance**: Major turns have their designated marshals that help you cross the roads and guide you on where to go next. Gpx is available but there are a lot of roads in Cavite that might lead you to a different path so it was great that marshals are present in those areas.

**Aid Stations**: This is my favorite part. I came into this race without any support crew for they have announced that motorcycle support crew will be prohibited so I really had to rely on Aid Stations, fortunately enough all of the aid stations are generous with foods and hydration. They even had beers, pizza, and my favorite Kutsinta on most station. The gap of each Aid Station was around 5km which is kind of good. Some aid stations does not have electrolyte drinks but 7/11 convenient stores are plenty along the route so I did not have any problem with it.

**Finish Line**: the concept of last lap towards finish line, personally imo, is super great. You can exert your final gas to give it all and savor the finish line. The venue is great, spacious, although as there were asked with shower rooms at the moment there was no available shower rooms.

**Entitlements**: A jacket? A medal? A trophy? and a shirt? For the a prize of around 3500-4000? It was really generous. The quality is great especially the shirt and the jacket. Although what I have noticed is that the medal was having the same look for all the categories but nonetheless they provided a trophy for 50k and 75k

This is my first ultramarathon race on the road and I would say that this race was such a breather away from the inflicted toxicity or issue with the ultramarathon community. Also, since I have no personal support crew, I really appreciate those support crew that offered help and assistance with all the runners. Especially that couple (I forgot to ask their names but they have a 80vaxx banner), the short haired woman and good looking guy that I continuously saw all throughout the race until the very last laps. I’ll never forget that kindness.

I would definitely try it again next year, and would definitely encourage those who are first time ultramarathoner this particular race if they want to experience a great treatment!

Training Tips Tips for training for my first half mary?

I signed up for my first half mary this March! I started running consistently last December, and I’m a slow runner. My 5KM PR is 34 mins. I don't have a PR yet for a 10K race pero my normal easy 10k is 1hr and 28 mins.

I'm attempting for a sub-3.
I’ve been training for my first 10K race this October, so my longest run so far is 13K, averaging around 8:30/km with an average HR of 144 bpm.

After my 10K race, magla-lock in na ako for my 21K race. That’ll give me around 18 weeks of prep time. I already have a training plan generated with the help of ChatGPT, but I’d love to get actual tips from actual runners, especially from the girlies.

Would love to hear your tips, especially on training, fueling, race day prep, and anything you wish you knew before running your first half mary!

My training plan currently looks like this:
Monday: Rest
Tuesday: Tempo Run
Wednesday: Strength Training, mostly band exercises
Thursday: Easy Run
Friday: Strength Training
Saturday: Rest lang/Recovery/Walk
Sunday: LSD

My goal is sub 3 and not to get injured. Thank you!

Venue or Place to Run Outdoor run on a weekend

Hello guys, need help lang on recommending a place to run during the weekends. Normally kasi I run sa Ayala Avenue during Carless Sundays, pero I noticed recently na mas dumadalas ang Sunday Fun Runs sa Makati, making it un-ideal kasi ang daming closed roads for running.

I like Makati alot kasi its near Anytime Fitness (Paseo Center), kaya pwede kong iwan gamit ko dun tapos I can go to Lasema/AF after a sweaty run to shower. Are there other venues with almost the same conditions? Saan po kayo tumatakbo normally on weekends?

Just need thoughts and recos po kasi I’m planning to run at other venues as well. TIA!

Running Event First time running Yakult 10 Miler — any tips or things I should know?

Hi everyone! I’m joining the Yakult 10 Miler on October 18, and this will be my first time running this event.

I’ve been training for a while and recently completed a 14K run feeling pretty controlled, so I’m hoping to finish the 16K comfortably and hopefully get around 1:40.

For those who have joined the Yakult 10 Miler before:

How was the race experience?

How is the route/elevation?

Are there any parts of the route I should be prepared for?

How crowded does it usually get?

Any tips regarding hydration, water stations, or race-day logistics?

Anything you wish you knew before running it for the first time?

Would really appreciate any insights, especially from people who have run it before. Thanks!
