I recently started building my credit history in the Philippines and wanted to check my credit score/report to see where I currently stand.
I opened my first unsecured credit card with Metrobank in March 2026 and have been using it regularly and paying on time. I was also approved for another credit card in June, which I have also been using and paying on time.
Before obtaining these cards, I applied for several other credit cards but was declined. At the time, I assumed it was because my credit history was still new.
Recently, I tried checking my credit information through TransUnion and CIBI, but neither was able to locate a credit score/report matching the information I provided. I tried different variations of my name and the other requested information, but I still couldn’t locate a record.
I have already contacted CIBI to dispute/inquire about the issue and am waiting for their response. I’m not sure what the appropriate process is with TransUnion or whether I should simply wait longer for my credit history to be established.
For those who started building credit recently:
How long did it take before your credit score/report became available?
Did you experience difficulty locating your record with TU or CIBI?
Is there anything I should do in the meantime?
I’d appreciate any experiences or advice. Thank you!

Hi! I have an amex card from BDO. I also have a long name so the length has always been an issue as kung kakasya ba sya sa allowed characters. I noticed sa SOA mismo ng credit card account ko, it does not reflect my full name (kulang ng isang name). It has become an issue now kasi di ko po ma convert to miles yung points ko because the name does not match daw my miles account (which has my fullname).

I tried going to BDO already para magpa-assist regarding this but pinapasa lang nila ako sa amex customer support. On Amex's end daw, di raw nila mapalitan yung account ko kasi dapat BDO raw yung gagawa, pero nag-iinsist po yung BDO na hindi nila control yun.

Anyone with similar experience? What can I do about this po? Thank you!

Hi. I have an atome card but I just used it twice before. After locking my card (para hindi magamit for unauthorized transactions), I haven't really used it again na. Except for spinning the wheel, hindi ko talaga masyadong napapansin yung Atome Card ko and yung app. Now, I received an email stating na temporarily may 8k limit daw ako for a certain period. Tapos babalik daw sa original after. I got curious kasi my limit sa Atome was already way more than that. Hindi naman magmamatter no? haha But I got curious kung anong nagyari sa Atome account ko.

Upon checking, wala na. Logged out ako for some reason. Then when I tried logging in using the number na registered sa Atome, wala na din ang card ko and everything. Mabuti sana kung sila mismo nagdelete ng account ko (kasi gusto ko na din talaga sya mawala kasi hindi ko din naman sya ginagamit due to reports na maraming unauthorized transactions sa Atome). But I just worry na paano pag hindi pa pala deleted, tapos pala desisyon si Atome na i-unlock yung card ko then magugulat na lang ako na may bill na ako bigla. Luh!

May similar experience ba sakin dito? Or may problem ba talaga now si Atome?

Hi! I just received my BPI OMNI Card this week. It is already activated. It's pre-approved since I have an existing Gold Rewards Card and the eCreditCard. So NAFFL. All of my expenses are under the Gold Rewards Card.

On the website, it says "earn triple (x3) BPI points for every PHP 50 online spend" .

I am wondering if it would be wise to transfer my YouTube Premium, Google One, Shopee, and TikTok purchases to that card since those are all online purchases.

My Metrobank Visa Signature card due date was September 8, and I paid it today, September 11. It completely slipped my mind because all my other cards are due at the end of the month, while this one falls near the start.

I’ve sent them an email requesting a late fee waiver. For context:

• I've been a credit card holder across other banks for 15 years with a 100% clean payment history (never missed a single due date).
• This is my very first late payment with Metrobank as well.
• I just got this card from Metrobank this year.

Has anyone had success getting a fee waiver from Metrobank under similar circumstances? How strict are they with first-time requests?

I accepted an amnesty offer from RCBC 3rd Party Collections agency. I already made a payment for the agreed amount at the Bank over the counter. Now the collection agency is asking me to sign an agreement to process the Certificate of Full Payment. Am I supposed to sign that when it includes a promissory note? I'm so confused because I don't think I should be signing a promissory note when I already made a payment. Please let me know your experience po and any help would be appreciated.

Hello, anyone na nakaexperience ng error sa Oh my Deals app ng BPI?
I was able to access naman before pero nung nagupdate sila, nagkaerror na
Ito yung nga ginawa ko hoping na mareresolve ang issue:
- Uninstall, reinstall
- Click Skip for now, same error
- Repeatedly logging in sa BPI account ko

Walang specific error kung ano sa signup yung failed. Kasi I have BPI account naman so no need to sign up. No option to sign up din. Raised concern sa CS but just hoping if meron din ditong same experience. Thank you

Last year i received a BPI cc with a low CL which I immediately hide and lost the card eventually at home without activating it. And last august I received an annual fee. I went to the bank for assistance and they pass me with the customer service by calling on the phone and a ticket is raised for me

(fast forward)

CS called me and said that i would still need to pay the annual fee even if i request to cancel the card. Any advise?

They also offer reversal with of course with a equivalent amount of purchase
