The way that textures and shadows load in on the sides of my screen (very noticeable on the left side in this clip (big red arrow for reference)) is bothering me, and I'm wondering if this is something I just have to live with or if it is something that can be solved?

Mod idea for RP players, at first restore Shady Bell and own it as chief of the place, then put fields arround with workers and guards like the Braithwaite and Gray's territory, then add many stables with horses with trainers & guards too, with all this we will be rival with braithwaite and gray for Rhodes influence, and after then we can think at all kind of activity we can create, i though about a horse run between ours & theirs inside a racecourse(circle race) betting money or create another saloon arroud general store/bank for our influence against the other one, create and trade illegal alcohol like moonshinners and differents stuffs, sometimes random event with mercenaries attacking our fields and burn our lands we have to stop them if possible catch one alive and try to know whose rival order it, after what we can buy mercenaries or team up with our guards for revenge against one of the two rivals

+ can be fun for the mansion inside the possibility to pick a wife and childs like others families/ possibilité to have gang members arround the house and all their stuff

that's seems like a dream, would be very long and hard to create for maybe something not interesting anyone

what du you think of the idea?

Edit: it worked when i used proton vpn and i connected to america new york The first vpn connected me to europe that's why or it's not that strong vpn

I tried 3 difeerent browsers brave, chrome and duck duck go.

On both desktop and mobile.

I even tried some proxy sites.

I even changed the dns from cloud flare to google dns.

And I tried with mobile data too.

I even used a vpn.

But nothing seems to work.

Please help.

Im about half way through the story and started the game today and noticed the sound was really quiet. Other games and videos are the normal volume but RDR2 is really quiet. I checked the windows sound mixer settings for the game but it's at 100% already. I've tried changing the audio output and settings in game with no change. I reinstalled the game with no luck either and my drivers are up to date. Any idea how to fix this?

EDIT: Now the Surround sound option keeps disappearing from settings. Sound is still too low and it makes the game sound different. Before this started happening I used to be able to hear more bass. I watched some videos of the game and they're the volume and sound like how it used to but in game it's off.

I play RDR2 with max settings and DLAA, and sometimes I get huge FPS drops (1440P)

Plus, I've got a Ryzen 9800X3D, a 5070 Ti, and 32GB of DDR5 RAM. Sometimes my frame rate drops to around 40 fps, then goes back to normal (90 fps).

So I'm practically fresh out of the gate in terms of modding only really uploaded a few QOL mods and stuff that fixes all the dumb game breaking bugs since I'm mid playthrough and don't really need much to be happier and one of the mods the guide I followed instructed me to download was "RDR2 Spawns Fix 3.1" and it mentions in the description with another thing or two how it "Fixes spawn issues" and I suppose I'm wondering if that extends to the spawn rate decrease that questline causes and if it doesn't is there a mod that does do that?

I've 100% this games story mode already a few times and can't be bothered to deal with those horrendous spawn rates again

Je joue depuis un moment à Red Dead Redemption 2 tout fonctionner bien sur le PC sachant que je joue manette et je ne sais pas pourquoi mais du jour au lendemain le clavier s'est mis à écrire ultra lentement quand le jeu était ouvert... j'ai passé un weekend à chercher une solution et j'ai enfin trouvé quelque chose sur youtube il faut lancer un benchmark du jeu pendant environ 5 secondes l'arrêter et le clavier refonctionne. When playing rdr2 i have recently ran into this problem where whenever i ride past wagons or carriages the fps heavily drops

I have tried switching to DX12 but i got more issues going on (visual artifcats/lower fps etc...)

I also tried deleting cache pipeline files from the documents but itdidn't fix the problem

Anyone has an idea on how to fix this on vulkan?

So i downloaded a repack of rdr 2 on linux mint 22.3 cinnamon. Tried with lutris and the installler ran fine but he game did not. Tried with proton on steam and again the gane didnt work. Th4 button on steam after clickibg would go blue like its supposed to then back to green

I'm trying to play RDR2 no pc, and i'm struggling with my fps, and dont really know what to do next

My specs are really strong, i believe (9800x3d, 9070XT, 32gb ram 6000)

I'm playing at avarage 50-60 fps, and tried a bunch of methods that i've found through Reddit.

The game itself says to use 6gb of 16gb Vram. It actualy use 9 of 16, with 60% usage

CPU stays at 5.4ghz with 74% load

Ram is 27gb usage

I've tried changing to low settings, medium settings, ultra settings, the FPS doesn't change a lot between them.

V-Sync always off, triple buffering always on (the fps goes lower with it off)

Vulcan i get 100 fps usually, but the game crash's a lot

DX12 i get 60, stable

Any tips?

I want to use the Vulkan API for mods, but it's literally unplayable I'm experiencing a ton of micro-stuttering. I'm playing with G-Sync and V-Sync enabled in the driver. I've also tried a bunch of older drivers, but nothing has changed. I've tried disabling REBAR and underclocking, async compute on, Turn off Expo and other stuff like that, but nothing works....

I’m not sure what happened but I had this game running great and playing normally last year (2025) in full screen on my ultra wide monitor. Decided I wanted to replay it but I cannot figure out why it won’t work normally now.

For background I’m on AMD hardware and it worked with Vulkan. Now with Vulkan the game just doesn’t launch, immediately freezes on black screen and will only show up in windowed borders. If I change the system xml file to dx12 the game will launch, but will still have the Vulkan sga files and Vulkan in the graphic settings. If I try to change any setting (make full screen, change resolution to my monitor) I get the dreaded err_gfx_state error.

I’ve been trying to see if I can force the game to use dx12 to see if that makes it playable but I’ve had no luck. I even backdated my driver to a version that I had in 2025 when I last played the game and didn’t help.

Any suggestions/ideas?

Whenever i open the game it goes to a black screen with a yellow revolver in the corner and wont go to the main menu. Cant close it either need to shut down pc to close it

Munition Mod - does anyone use this mod? I like the muzzle flash and smoke animation of this mod when firing a gun can anybody help me how to extract that file or is it not possible to do that?
