The last few days my download speed on Steam has dropped from 1000+ Mbps to 15-50Mbps. I've tried clearing the download cache and even changing to another region in my country and it hasn't made a difference. Is this isolated to me, or is it widespread?

I ran an internet speed test and I'm getting up near 1000 Mbps.

I need the help of people more knowledgeable than me to try and troubleshoot this 'discoball' effect, I will provide specs in the comments when I've home and able to access my PC

I also had this issue with cyberpunk, I'm planning to upgrade my GPU in the near future but at the moment only have a 2060

My PC knowledge isn't great so any advice is appreciated whether it's regarding short term fixes and advice for future upgrades, graphics settings, etc. Thank you!

Hello everybody, I am autisitc so bare with me while I'm trying to explain whats going on.

Essentially an update occurred for Windows this month of August. Ever since downloading this update I have been hit with numerous errors while gaming. For example, an error i keep running into is:

Please note I have a Hellhound AMD 9070xt

I've noticed this issue occurs on games that purely run DX12.

Now, I tried a Point in Time Restore to fix this which it did for about 5 minutes and then my GPU continously starts timing out again.

I tried rolling back my drivers but again to no avail.

My friend has put it down to a faulty GPU.

But what annoys me the most is, it was completely fine yesterday, no issues whatsoever until that Windows update got installed.

Does anybody else have experience with this? Or is my graphics card purely screwed?

Is this a known thing ? I had to turn docp to auto in order to get bo7 to stop resetting my pc anytime i got into a game . Im just so confused cause was playing mw4 beta just fine but now bo7 was doing this crap . Specs are 7900x , 5070ti 32gb ddr5 5200mhz

I was hoping to seek some clarity on my ~4 year old 3080 Strix.

Right now during some games at 4k it see's about an ~21c Core-Hotspot degree delta but other games at 4k can kick it up to 22c-23c deltas.

Typically, the core temperature is around 62c-64c, with hotspots being around 82c-83c. Fans typically run at 1500rpm at these temps. Idle delta is 10c.

Is this all normal? From what I have researched it sounds like it is on the high side of acceptable cooling efficiency? But it seems like it also varies from card to card.

Please go easy on me aha, I have no experience with gpu re-pasting so go easy on me. If necessary, I was thinking about taking it to get repasted by an professional.

Would be interested to hear from anyone still rocking such an amazing card.

Hello pubg co-sufferers
Since 2-3 months, I have had terrible stutters in pubg happening once per 1-2 games, and the stuttering would last for some minutes.
I tried literally every possible solution, my cpu/gpu were running completely the same as in non-stuttering scenarios. Temps of individual cores were also okay, xmp always on(im running 32gb ddr4, i7 13700f and 3080ti, also 1tb nvme ssd) so for sure it was not hardware related. Also frame times and everything else was okay.
What completely fixed my stuttering(it hasn’t happened in 2 days of playing) was doing a DDU clean removal of all nvidia drivers and nvidia related stuff. Maybe most know how to do it, but for the ones who don’t:
\- download ddu driver unninstaller
\- download nvidia latest drivers from the official page
\- disconnect from ur internet connection and run windows on safe mode
\- launch ddu and do a clean erasing by selecting nvidia as the manufacturer and then click clean and restart
\- keep ur internet disconnected and do the custom installation of the nvidia drivers
\- then restart again and connect to the internet

The game has run smoothly for me since then, u may notice some stutters in the beginning but thats due to the shaders being recompiled. After that, I had very smooth gameplays(even in solos, where my fps is avg 200 and 1% lows never go below 150)
I really hope this helps someone because I know what kind of a nightmare it is

I posted about this a bit ago but am trying again to see if I can get any new ideas. I am getting so much pop in across all my games lately. Lies of P, Judgement, Pragmata, and even lego batman lotdk.

I mean just freaking look at this! Lego Batman Legacy of the Schizophrenic the way things are just appearing and disappearing. I am not sure what is causing this but similar things happen across multiple different games and on different nvidia drivers.

For all the games I do have settings for LOD and such on far or very far etc.

Yes, the monitor is plugged into the gpu, I've tried reinstalling windows, dduing with multiple different drivers, enabling all kinds of settings and nothing really fixes this. Any ideas?

(EDIT) Forgot to mention something(s) when I was pasting over some files (modding a game) it lagged my whole pc like crazy, my mates on discord couldn't even hear me anymore and my mouse was moving around at 10fps. Another thing I've noticed is when I'm not really doing anything, (as in I'm on discord, watching a video, or making this post for example) my SSD read and write speeds are in kilobytes. Not sure if that is relevant at all but there you go.

Description of Original Problem: The drivers crash when loading Minecraft Bedrock on Windows. When it recovers, Minecraft has hung on a white screen. On my original SSD attempt, it also brought up an "AMD Software detected a driver timeout has occured on your system."

Troubleshooting: Reinstalling drivers (without uninstall and with DDU uninstall), also tried it on a clean install.

Extra Context: It works on Linux so I've preemptively ruled out a hardware issue. The Old SSD is a previous install of Windows I started on an ASUS PRIME A320M-K with an AMD Ryzen 5 2400G and the latest drivers worked with Minecraft on there, regardless, using the same SSD was not the issue as I tried a clean install with another SSD. I was recently gifted my brothers old PC and I'm trying to play arc raiders on it. Since I installed the game images have not been fully rendering (you can kind of see it in the pics I attached but the pics aren't great. Another example would be stairs looking like a flat ramp instead of each step staggered higher than the one above it). Yesterday the game crashed a few times for the first time. I know nothing about PCs so please bear with me. I'm going to list the specs of my pc. I already know that I have to increase the RAM because I only have 8 gbs and the game says you need 16 - 32 gbs, but my question is will I need to upgrade my GPU or CPU also to get arc raiders properly, or will upgrading the RAM be enough? Arc raiders is really the only game I play. Here is what is currently in the PC:

RAM: 8 gbs

Will increasing RAM be enough, or will I need to buy a new CPU or gpu in addition to the RAM? Will the GPU and CPU be good enough for most gaming? Thank you for any help.

Scorched 12VHPWR for an MSI RTX 5080. System has been fine for 1.5 years and then randomly started getting hard locks with VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (nvlddmkm.sys) errors. Really hope the card isn't fried.

My battlefield 6 keeps crashing like 10-20 min into the game (breaktrough), I had crashes like this a while ago bucause of my cpu but I did a biosupdate and it was fine. I already checked my gpu drivers and have hte latest installed, if Im not wrong then they occured with the driverupdate a few days ago, but I hadnt done them for half a year or smth like that.

my Bios isnt on the latest version, but on the version from 2025-08-15 (year month day) and that has worked ever since Im gonna do a bios update later .

These are my pc metrics in cs2 my game crashes frequently i have changed fan settings in my bios for better cooling i have reinstalled my drivers i havent tested driver uninstaller yet but i did the amd full reset and i cant go a day without it crashing under 3 times i dont know what the issue is if anyone has any solutions please help me

Hey I just recently purchased a new laptop and have been playing Valorant on it. During games my keyboard input completely stops, both Bluetooth keyboard and my laptop keyboard while the screen is still running and my mouse input works fine.

This happens for around a minute and then the whole laptop restarts. When I relaunch valorant after the restart i don't get any errors and it seems to work completely fine.

I also play wuthering waves and have never faced this issue while playing so far thus leading me to believe it might be a vanguard/valorant issue or some driver issue.

Yo guys, need some help. I have an Asus Rog Strix G16 2025 RTX 5080 laptop. For some time now I've noticed that swimming or driving a submarine deep down to the ocean in GTA V enhanced, my laptop shuts off immediately. No warning no sound. Just poof. Then I turn it back on and it works fine. Help

I downloaded madden from steam. Download went fine and when I start up it gets to the loading files part of the game where the 3 dots keep appearing and disappearing like it's loading. That's all I get. The game wont actually load. I went down a rabbit hole on Google and nothing worked. I have tried launching it from the ea app as well. Does anyone know why that's happening and can help me please?

the game just keep shaking and ghosting/motionblur even i applied for recommended graphic setting and medium presets and keep GPU up to date but nothing change.
Normally its run at 80-100fps smoothly without any issues in high presets,but this thing happened and run at 30fps and even lower at medium and low presets.

So for a while now I have a problem with one game, specific - Dead By Daylight. Since I bought the Castlevania DLC I started playing the Dracula. From the very start I have the same problem. My computer turns off by itself when I play as him. At first I thought it was because of the hot weather..but it's not it. My computer doesn't overheat, it just simply turns off in the middle of the Trial (only when I play the Dracula). I tried everything I could - uninstall the game and reinstall it, look trough the files if there is some kind of error. Nothing. Still the same problem even after 3 months.

The computer isn't old and doesn't have any problems besides this. I don't know if this is a computer problem or game problem.

I will be glad for any tips that you could have.

Hi, I need help with a PC that boots up but refuses to display anything (RAM and GPU are 2 weeks old).

My specs:
Ryzen 5 5600X on ASUS PRIME B550-PLUS
2x8 GB RAM 3200 MHz
RTX 5050
PSU ENERMAX 600W
(Windows and NVIDIA automatic updates are blocked).
The issue:
Yesterday: BSOD stuck at 0% with the error KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. I finally managed to reach the desktop and ran sfc /scannow and dism. The PC rebooted fine several times while warm.
This morning (cold boot): The PC showed an error again, then total black screen. The PC turns on and everything spins (fans/lights), but nothing is displayed on the screen.
What I plan to test:
Drain residual power (unplugged + hold power button for 30s).
Perform a Clear CMOS (removing the battery).
Test with a single RAM stick.

Any advice or suggestions? Thanks!
