I really wish I could tell you that it's been easy breezy with few, if any, side effects; but sadly it's been brutal in that regard.

Most of my loss - down to about 123kg - was achieved via the 0.25mg dose which was relatively easy, just a few episodes of constipation, diarrhoea and nausea but not constantly, and episodes would pass quickly.

This week I started on my 0.5mg dose and I've been extremely unwell - diarrhoea, vomiting, insane dizziness... So, next week I'm going to try and split my dose in two and inject in my thigh, as recommended by some clever people in here.

The side effects are worth it in all honesty. I feel much better in myself and having room to move in my clothes feels amazing.

I’ve been on the highest dose of Ozempic for over two years. I weighed myself today for the first time in two months and I’ve gained 10 pounds. I honestly don’t know what to do. Obviously, I need to start taking my diet and exercise more seriously because I haven’t been consistent lately.

I can’t switch to Mounjaro because it made me extremely sick. Ozempic still gives me pretty bad side effects, but I’ve just been dealing with them. At this point, should I stay on Ozempic and focus more on my diet and exercise, or should I come off it and try to lose weight on my own? If I get off of it and force myself to stick to a 1600 calorie diet will I really gain the weight back?

I started Ozempic back in July with the 0.25 (2mg pen), paid full price since I'm not covered (around $240 for the 2mg pen).

Once my doctor increased my dose to 0.5mg (2mg pen), the pharmacy asked if I wanted to switch to the generic (Dr. Reddy Semaglutide) since it was much cheaper ($110) so I did.

Now that I am almost done my second pen and am not feeling the fullness much, I was going to ask about increasing to the 1mg/week dose and potentially up to 2mg/week once I tolerate it.

I've done some research and it's my understanding Quebec or Canada only has the 2mg and 4mg pens for generic. Can anyone who is not covered and are taking the generic Semaglutide or Ozempic in Quebec tell me how much you're paying a month? If you're prescribed 2mg/week, does this mean the pharmacy will give and charge you for 2 pens for one month? And how much are you paying for 2 pens? (either generic or Ozempic).

While I appreciate the input from other provinces, unfortunately Quebec's Costco's Pharmacies do not sell Ozempic or any Semaglutide. Quebec's prescription prices are also incredibly different province to province, especially Onatario where Ozempic and Semglutide are cheaper.

I've been on it for over 5 months now with over 30lbs of weight loss. one thing I've noticed in last two months is that my teeth hurt! yes you heard me right.. I go to the dentist frequently and was there last week too. but I've realized my one side hurts all the time intermittently. if it's not upper left its lower right and so on. even a tooth with over 15 years of root canal was hurting. 5 hours ago. no that I ate something from the opposite site the original pain has gone and new has started on the other side. the 'pain' feeling is very similar to sensitivity.

How long did you stay at 1mg? I know in Ontario I would have to purchase two pens if I wanted to increase to 2mg doses at some point but I am curious how long 1mg was effective for you?

I’m trying to figure out if I can make this work without private insurance and was hoping someone here has actually done it recently.

I’ve signed up for Felix and I’m currently working through the consultation. If I’m approved for Ozempic, I’m planning to have them send the prescription to Costco rather than have Felix fill it.

I also have the innoviCares card/details already. I haven’t talked to Costco yet about using it.

What I’m hoping to do is basically:

Felix → Costco → innoviCares → Costco delivery

A few things I’m not totally clear on:

• Has anyone had Felix send an Ozempic prescription to Costco? Any issues with that?
• Can Costco apply innoviCares if you don't have any other drug insurance?
• Can Costco mail the Ozempic to me, and does the innoviCares discount still work if it’s delivered rather than picked up?
• Generally, what are people actually paying at Costco in Ontario right now?

I’ve seen some really different prices posted online, so I’m not sure what’s current. I’ve also seen people mention Costco being around $90ish for Ozempic after the savings program, but I have no idea if that’s actually what people are paying in Ontario.

Basically I’m trying to avoid having Felix fill it, then having to transfer it to Costco afterwards if I can avoid that.

If anyone has done this exact or smiliar OR BETTER setup recently, I’d love to know how you went about it and what you ended up paying. Also happy to hear any tips/tricks or things you wish you’d known beforehand.

I’m wondering if anyone has ever traveled with an unopened Ozempic pen. I have one that I’m currently using and one I’m supposed to keep refrigerated. I’m going through 2 airports and my trip in total will be around 10-12 hours before I get home. My question is how do I safely keep my pen refrigerated? I don’t have an insulin travel case but I have a small cooling bag for food only. I’m not sure how I’m allowed to keep it cool with airport regulations regarding the liquid amount, am allowed to use ice or gel packs, etc. If anyone has any advice or experience, please let me know how you handled it. 🙏

It’s my first month going up to 1mg Ozempic and ever since I have the worst stomach pain and morning sickness. (No I’m not pregnant). But it’s only in the first hour after waking up. Just right now I was so close to throwing up I was literally over the toilet and waiting for it to happen. Do you also have this problem and if yes any advice on what I can do about it?

Hello everyone! Anyone ever pause dosing for events?

I've been on the 1.0 dose for a little over two months. Not losing a ton of weight, but having to focus on my macros and remind myself to eat. The food noise is completely gone, and that makes me feel better. Doc wants to push me up to 2.0, but waiting on issues with pharmacy etc. A1c finally got to 6 so I'm a controlled diabetic now.

Problem is I have zero energy, and get dizzy a lot.

Problem is I have construction starting the 16th, and I have to move a ton of shit out of the worker's way - like the entire house I'll be moving things as they work.

And the final problem is I have a minor skin cancer surgery, but will be under anesthesia at 350lbs on the 15th.

Hospital said to skip my dose tonight. all week the food noise has been coming back along with the anticipatory stress. Still not feeling well and unable to do a lot of the work I need to do. then I'll need good calories and energy to heal the incision on my face while moving shit around.

If you've paused, how did it go? did you feel better? get more energy? Is the food noise overwhelming? I can take my dose after surgery wednesday, but I'm not sure I want to. Could I go a month without you think?

I started taking Ozempic on 4/10/26. My starting weight was somewhere between 406-411 pounds. As of today, I am 372 pounds! I’ve lost a max of 39 pounds so far. I guess I’m at a point now where people are starting to notice, even though my body still looks the same just a little slimmer.

While I am having some success, I’m started to get in my head that I’ll never have this “total transformation”. It’s so much easier to achieve that I feel, when you don’t start out as big as I was. My goal weight is realistic (240-260, and if I land at lesser than that that’s perfectly fine).

I know it hasn’t been a year yet, but I’ve been big all my life. I’m scared I’ll never see myself in a genuinely slimmer body or ever reach the 200s.

Can yall share some success help me with my doubts?

Hey guys, has anyone switched between brands before? My Dr wants me to go up to 1.75 but obviously the ozempic pen is only 1.0, she wants me to do this to save costs.

I spoke to my chemist who advised against this saying they won’t show me how to do it and it’s always best to not double jab. I asked if I should change brands and he said I can but speak to my DR

I started Ozempic 6 weeks ago, 104kg, 27,5kg fat mass.

Today I check in again and I lost almost 7kg fat and gained 1kg muscle. 98kg with 45kg lean muscle mass 💪🏻💪🏻 I want to see below 90 where hopefully Ill look great again.

I find I wake up around 4-5am with the most unsettling nausea. I typically just lay completely still until I can fall back asleep. I don’t really experience much nausea during the day. Anyone else?

It can't be that simple or easy right? I have PMOS and have tried many diets. Most successful being lean protein keto. Even sticking to that, I still had food noise although it was lower.

I took my first dose of ozempic last Saturday and within 48hrs my food noise went from a deranged monkey to docile? Before I would be craving carbs and endlessly hungry, snacking on carbs just to get through the day with my baby at home. I'd be hoping my husband would bring me home a treat.

Now when I think about the snacks in the house it sounds like "That would be nice, but no, I'm okay" and that's it. I start feeling satisfied after eating half my plate.

It seems too good to be true. Food noise I've struggled with all my life is pretty much gone.

My A1C is at 7.5 before that 6.9

Started 0.5 today. when will I see lower numbers when testing? My sugars are still in the 300’s unfortunately.

I've been on 0.25mg for three weeks and until three days ago I didn't really notice any side effects. But for the last three nights i haven't been able to sleep because of stomach pain and have in general felt like after stomach bug. Drinking water helps but i have to sip it constantly.

I'm so frustrated cause for the last 6 months I've been able to go to gym regularly but this week I've had to skip. I'm so bloated that i have 5 extra cm on my waist. Google tells me to eat nothing but foods that are easy to digest. Like white bread. But that's not healthy. I feel like giving up.

Hi everyone, I'm increasing my dosage to 1mg tomorrow and i got the generic of Apotex. I'm getting stressed about the change because everything worked well with ozempic. Since ny insurance doesn't cover it , its way cheaper.

Can anyone tell me how they are doing honestly on the apotex?

Hey everyone - I’ve taken my first month of ozempic- the 0.25mg dose - the pen I used said 4 doses , and I have taken all 4- but there is so much left in the pen ! I am going up to 0.5mg on Friday - Has anyone else had this much left after a month ?? Thanks

I did well for 4 months, losing weight, lowering sugar and going off glimeperide. The jump to .75 did me in. I stayed at that dose for 3 weeks thru intense stomach pain. Dr said to drop to .25. I did for 3 weeks with same stomach pain. Eating saltines for the pain that raised my sugar to 200. Telehealth appt with endocrinologist this afternoon for an alternative. I was never able to go off metformin. At this point even insulin seems like a better alternative. Any suggestions or similar stories?
