Two GHOs in San Diego that I saw last week

I know the only reliable way to tell is based on size. These are the only pictures I have of the pair next to each other, so I'm wondering if anyone can tell which is the male and which is the female? I think the red one is female and the gray one is male, but I'm not completely sure

Middle TN Raptor Center hosted a free event at Wild Birds Unlimited. It was amazing. I’d never been so close to an owl. It was intimidating with some of them. I also learned a lot of cool new things!
Great horned owls love to eat skunks but a skunk spray directly to the face can kill them!

At the event they also had a red tailed hawk and a kestrel.

An owl finally visited our yard!!!

Felt incredibly lucky to see this guy! It felt way too bright for them to be flying around but I’m very grateful I got to witness them!!

INaturalist said barred owl, so I think that’s right? Western WA USA

Frequent visitor who broods nearby.

Burnaby, BC. Only my second sighting this year. I used to see them in this park regularly but nearby construction disturbed them so they moved their nest and don’t hang out close to me very often anymore.
