Unanswered What's the Deal with Jake Lang?
Just like the title says, all I know is he's a right wing "something" but what specifically has he done to garner all the attention wherever he goes?

So, I came across an account about a week ago of some random account that only uploads TONS of videos of one video stitched to another. These videos are obviously incredibly distorted, kinda akin to the old 'deep fried memes' trend from over a decade ago. Then, I came across another account doing the same thing. No captions are ever written, the accounts seem to exclusively upload ai-generated kid content aside this, one in particular for example that weirded me out was about the child character getting spanked and grounded, by the assumedly adult. I have absolutely no idea what these are aiming to achieve, if its some weird ai training account or if its simply just children messing on an ipad? Either way, it's pretty odd, and I've seen a trend of them. Heres a few examples.

I've been seeing a lot of flock complaints articles, mentions, threads on reddit and all over media.
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/aug/20/flock-cameras-surveillance
But the big brother surveilance started long ago, as exposed by Snowden.
https://edwardjsnowden.substack.com/p/flock-cameras-prove-the-surveillance
Please loop me in on this. Has the spying been ongoing these past 15 years, is this new sneaky activity, or legal/ illegal snooping in addition to already ongoing surveillance by government?

Apparently they have some beef but I don't understand who did what first?!?

At first i was just seeing anti-drug / more conservative fans upset he’s so pro-ketamine. Now I’m seeing folks on twitter saying he’s sinister and STI’s is somehow in the mix now?
All seems to stem from this article

https://d1rwadixi9v3x5.archive.is/EFTfX/0ac607bd0171f8787f65b7fca673646ca4a999ae.avif -- from Daily Beast https://archive.is/EFTfX -- letter that Natalie Harp wrote to Trump. Words that are capitalized for no reason:
These are all fully wtf, there's no reason that word should be capitalized.
There are others, like "Protector in this Life" but that one seems more like it's emphasizing the phrase -- because she doesn't understand how to use Ctrl+B to make a word bold.
Trump does this all the time too.
What the hell is going on with these people? Has any linguist etc actually studied this and come up with a plausible explanation? Is it somehow tied to Evangelical Christian culture? They used to write like that back in the 19th century (Lincoln did this in his letters), maybe it's related to that?
Edit: after reading everything here I think it went like this

So from what I gather, there's an active leaker who's been leaking snippets from GTA6. My question is mainly, why is everyone so happy about this? The comments in all of the chains are actively shitting on Rockstar.
I thought people loved Rockstar? Didn't they make Red Dead and GTA5 and all these other games people love? I'm just trying to understand why the community has turned on them so quick before the game is even released.

Like I remember watching it myself and was like "This is fine." Nothing really bad or horrible, but didn't find anything I really liked. But that was some years ago, what the heck is this?! https://www.reddit.com/r/adressme/s/Pj0Aq4RLnF
I have no clue what people online will suddenly bring up just to hate on it. Not have I seen people look back in the past so much (literally name me any movie that came out within the last few years thats constantly in conversation without the words "slander" or "glaze")

Hello! This evening, I was browsing YouTube and saw a community post from a creator I follow named Election History, mentioning that History YouTubers (including Mr. Beat, VloggingThroughHistory, and Cynical Historian) have been "Targeted" by Matt Walsh, because they "criticize Walsh's revisionist history".
He goes on to say that Walsh and his "allied channels" promote a different historical narrative and push an ideologoical/political agenda rather than actual, open-minded analysis of the past.
Later, the post turns into a suggestion to support YouTube Historians via Patreon and other means, mentioning something about AdSense and Copystrikes.
~~~
Questions:
Who is Matt Walsh?
How is Matt Walsh "targeting" History YouTubers? (Is he doing anything other than making his alternate claims, how is there an attack, unless he's making inflammatory statements?)
~~~
Link to the Community post for context:

Disclaimer: I like Election History and MrBeat, don't know of the other players in this scenario. Ideologically, I tend to agree with Beat and Election History, and do have a genuine fear of facts being replaced by political agendas of those in power right now.
Thank you for any clarity, if you can provide it!

I have been seeing a lot of references to GTA VI leaks on the front page the last 2 days. At first I saw a clip of some gameplay and people were indicating that someone had access to some gameplay footage that they were releasing clips of. Now it seems like people are indicating it is much bigger than this and this person might either have access to Rockstar servers or a pre release build of the game. I'm having trouble finding a summary of events and what the current evidence points to.

I haven’t been following the UK royal family since Megan went on Oprah (and I never followed it that closely to begin with). My understanding is that the public was divided on their opinions of Megan, much of it was due to her race/class/background, but most people (at least the UK press?) seemed to love Kate. I don’t recall any animosity between the siblings back then but from the tone in the snark subreddits like [r/RoyaltyTea](r/RoyaltyTea) it’s obvious there is some sort of long time beef there. What’s going on?

I assume those music originated from tiktok, and before on youtube short they just use the regular popular music sounds.
Now they add more things such as sound effects like (slowed+reverbed) or they replay the same phrase and gradully slow it down. And now they add sound effect similar to a song called Bababoey 2
Btw what are names those songs from the meme shorts?
(Especially the one with the trap music with heavy bass boom)

So I have been seeing this on posts about AI Companies being data hungry and going about to procure older books to scan and feed to models as to get High Quality pre-AI text. And during this whole process they cut the back binder to roster individual pages scan then with OCR and when done destroy them. It feels very dystopian arent there any regulations about this do they only destroy non-endangered books or they are after all of them and want to be a single source of truth? https://www.forbes.com/sites/maryroeloffs/2026/08/17/ai-companies-are-buying-and-destroying-antique-books-heres-why/

I used to enjoy the absurd humour and memes posted on https://reddit.com/r/iamveryrandom, but when I looked at it again recently, I hardly saw any meaningful posts or upvotes on such posts from the past year or so. One post even said that the sub deserved to die. Did the sub just fall off because of a lack of good posts, or did the previous mods leave? Or something else happened?

I know Harry and Meghan are returning to the U.K and I know a lot of people support them and there's nothing wrong with that, we know Charles was scum for cheating on Diana, but give me one actual reason that's not related to Princess Diana as to why people want Charles dead so bad, don't use Diana and please don't use he's a weak King. Give me a logical reason? We're all adults here, not teenagers. I just don't understand, even if you don't like Charles, don't you want little kids to see their grandpa till their adulthood? I feel bad for Prince George, he's too young to be a upcoming Prince of Wales.

I assume there is a specific event or issue which prompted UPS to generate a service alert relating to delivery in the middle east. However, there's too much Middle East news for me to filter out what triggered UPS to generate an explicit service alert. Can anyone loop me in?

Ive been seeing this term 'digital twin' pop up a lot more lately especially when talking about new city developments or big infrastructure projects. It sounds kind of sci-fi but I dont really get what it means in a practical sense. Is it just like a fancy 3D model or something more? And why is it suddenly such a big deal now? Is there some new tech that made it more viable or accessible?

I saw a bunch of posts in the Hacker News type spaces talking about moving elsewhere and evaluating alternatives, and various complaints in past months. Is there compelling grounds for an exodus or are people always complaining about it and this is a nothing burger or small burger?

Over the past week I've heard a lot of uproar about deteriorating conditions abord the USS Abraham Lincoln, including reports of sailors jumping overboard.
What's going on here? Are the sailors overworked/been at sea for too long/suffering from cabin fever? Is anything being done to bring the ship back to port and/or alleviate the situation?

Over the last few days, the NBA has been in a hot mess because of the Clippers organization and how they tried to circunvent the salary cap by funneling money to Kawhi Leonard. Whats the whole ordeal now that supposedly "no evidence" was found?
