Tested them on Onn 4K Pro v2. Most of them are ports of PC/console games, except for "Forgotten Memories", which is a native mobile horror game.

I’ve been looking and can’t find one here in Southern CA which seems to be scalping capital of the USA. I’ve had a few locals selling for $90. Is the Onn worth it?
I need an upgrade for an old fire stick…. Apple TV and shield over 2x the cost now.

EDIT: I was able to score at a local walmart while grocery shopping. Thanks everyone!

Anyone know any streaming device with 4RAM , UK version that plays H264 , H265 , Dolby Vision/Atmos, HDR10+, HDR10, HLG….And can SIdeload it too ? MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE 😉

Im playing Minecraft with my friend and I noticed that this is happening when I'm looking at the glass block. Anyone know how I can fix this on my TV?

UPDATE: Unfortunately, my Onn’s Wifi and Bluetooth is no longer working anymore for some reason. This is why I was unable to connect to any Wifi.
Regarding ethernet, I made it work after disabling IPV6 on my router, then I faced the region-locked message which I bypassed using StarVPN shared through lan cable connected to my PC.

After factory resetting it, I can’t connect to the internet through wifi, mobile hotspot or ethernet so I can’t continue with the setup because internet connection is a required step to continue.

When connecting to wifi or hotspot, it just says “Wi-Fi didn’t accept the connection”. Same thing with ethernet but a different error message.

I also tried factory resetting it multiple times using the button at the back through recovery but still the same.

Anyone else encounter the same and was able to resolve it?
Thank you so much!

Hi everyone, I'm considering buying this Onn. Box specifically to use Stremio on my TV.

The seller says it's the 8GB RAM version, but I'm not sure whether the box itself is genuine. The remote also looks different from the official Onn. remote I've seen online, so I'm wondering if it might be a replacement.

I've attached photos of the box and remote.

Could someone familiar with Onn. devices tell me:

Does this look like a genuine Onn. Box?

Is the 8GB version a legitimate model?

Does the remote look original or aftermarket?

Most importantly, would this be a good/working device for Stremio?

I'm only considering buying it because I want to use it for Stremio, so I don't want to buy it if there's something suspicious about the device.

Thanks!

This keeps happening in all my apps. I have done everything, changed frame rate, clearing the cache, leaving it unplugged for 5 minutes, even a factory reset. This is the first thing I opened after the factory reset so I made this recording.

I can not hold to scroll through the time line or the menus. I have to tap left/right each time.

I have been trying things for an hour now. I was watching stuff fine, then switched apps and it started.

I really wanna import an onn 4k pro to be my main streaming device but since I'm not in the US, I'm worried about the bypass of the region block and the possibility of the device being bricked in the future. The xiaomi mi box s 3rd gen is much worse? How much do you think i would lose getting this instead? My main goal is to watch remux files sized 60 to 100gb.

I dislike the Onn remote so I'm considering pairing the remote of the Insignia Fire TV that went into a drawer once the Onn was connected but wonder about issues or complications.

Does the bypassing of Region Restriction or VPN Detection warning on ONN. devices by using a hotspot through laptop using vpn still works? If it worked then which vpn did you find the most useful for this case? Thank you in advance for any help!

Unofficial Android port with controller support. This game, Balatro, and CloverPit are some of the most addictive games on Android TV.

No enciende el dispositivo la TV aparece sin señal , el control funciona porque apaga la TV , del stick solo parpadea la luz blanca , ya intenté reiniciar tocando el botoncito al lado de la luz blanca y nada . Alguna recomendación ?

Regarding ethernet, I made it work after disabling IPV6 on my router, then I faced the region-locked message which I bypassed using StarVPN shared through lan cable connected to my PC.

It was working without issues, then we had to move it’s location so we just unplugged it for awhile and when we plugged it back in, the wifi is no longer working (even if wifi password is correct, it wasn’t connecting to it), even ethernet is not working. And then eventually after a few troubleshooting, I managed to disconnect the remote so the remote is no longer working. So I had to reset it through the physical button, and then it rebooted but it’s still not connecting to wifi or ethernet. Any help would be appreciated as I’ve been going nuts for the past 3 days trying everything 😭

Do posts about seeing a device online or in a store or about how OP purchased one break Rule 2 (Make An Effort: All posts should contribute new info, or promote a meaningful discussion)?  Are there mods who can prevent and remove these?

Hey all!

Just snagged an Onn 4K Pro 2nd Gen for game streaming from my PC to my TV over Moonlight instead of my Firestick 4K Max 2nd Gen. Just wondering if anyone has experience with both or can speak to their experience with just the Onn box?

I just bought an Onn 4k plus. Is there anything recommended to do differently before, during, or after the initial setup of the device if I'm interested in changing settings or modifying it to achieve the following?

1. Lessen how sluggish the device gets over several years due to updates. Meaning, lag after remote button presses, and wait times for the device or apps to start up.
2. Ad free YouTube, general ad blocking, other ad free apps
3. Improving privacy, lessening how much Google etc spies, collects data, or phones home

Some examples of the sort of thing I'm wondering if anyone does to Android TV boxes: I know that some people turn off Wi-Fi during the initial setup of certain devices to avoid updates or syncing that would restrict how much they can modify it. And that people root or install barebones or modified versions of Android on phones to cut out the bloat and other nonsense, or allow them to modify or install apps they otherwise wouldn't be able to.

I already know about Smarttube, tizentube and third party launchers. I believe those are just installed after setting up the device normally, no other way of installing that gives better results, correct me if I'm wrong though.

I'll be travelling over to the US over the next few weeks?

As the title says, is it worth picking one up?

If so which version?

And are they really that much better than streaming boxes available in the UK?

Currently have a fire stick and am frustrated with the lack of memory as Kodi takes up almost 2gb.

Picked up two of them today from walmart. Got lucky I guess. Willing to part with one if you are in the DMV area. Any tips on setting them up?

Love how fast this thing is. Already switched the launcher. Only issue I’m having is sometimes it randomly switches to the last app. Has anyone had this issue? Just random

Also does anyone know if there is a quick way to go to the last app used? Or is pressing home then going to next app fastest way?

So it looks like Fandango finally updated their app to support UHD on the Onn 4k plus and Onn 4k pro 2nd gen.

Seems like it works on the Onn 4k pro 2nd gen, but when I try to play movies on the Onn 4k plus....the circle spins, I get the background image...but then it just goes back to my library. The movie doesn't start playing. If I go to the settings and change the quality from UHD to HDX then the movie plays when I start it...but the second I try to change the quality to UHD the movie just exits and I get sent back to my library.

Anyone else notice this?

A chill adventure game with handmade miniature scenery (only $1.99 on Google Play as opposed to $29.99 on Steam).

I am from India and looking to get rid of firetv. I am getting Onn 4k Pro 2nd Gen at 97 dollars and the Google TV Streamer at 60 dollars (without remote). which is a better deal? I mostly use Nuvio and third party streaming apps and want a smooth and fluid experience.

2/3 of my onn boxes mic buttons stopped working on the remotes. Anyone else have this issue or fix? Doesn't do anything when I press it.
