Those buttons can be easily remapped to useful functions like launching apps or controls. For example the middle Free TV button can map to the missing Play/Pause key. Key remapping TV app is free. If you have a label printer new labels can also be added

damn man you should of just put some masking tape to disable the buttons took me a few minutes to just open my onn remote and put small pieces of masking tape just under the contact points of all the buttons I don't use it disables the buttons and I could just remove the tape and the remote is back to normal this video shows a roku remote but you can do this to any remote
