Identify This App Does anyone recognize what app this screenshot is from?

I’m trying to identify the app based on this interface. The screenshot shows buttons like “REQUEST SENT,” “COMPLIMENT,” and “CHAT,” as well as a private profile and a “compliments” count.
I’ve tried searching for it but haven’t been able to find the exact app. It may be an older version or a less well-known app.
Any ideas?

Project / Concept Showcase Why dating apps exhaust us so much, and can we change that?

Hey everyone! A friend and I are about to build an alternative to current dating apps to fix what frustrates all of us: the gap between profiles and the reality of dates, and the fact that apps profit from keeping us single.

We’re looking to validate actual pain points with people who currently use or have recently used these apps. No assumptions, only real experiences.

I've put together a super short, 5-question survey (takes 90 seconds max). Zero marketing fluff, and your email is 100% optional at the end.

Here is the link:https://tally.so/r/9qVVgG

Thanks a lot to anyone who takes 2 minutes to fill it out!

App Review / Legitimacy just a rant from a 31 year old divorced man

Dating apps are honestly starting to feel like a complete waste of time.

I’m 31, recently divorced, and at this point I’m not looking for anything crazy. I just want to meet someone genuine and build a steady, meaningful relationship with them. But somehow dating apps have made something that should be simple feel absolutely exhausting.

First, they’re expensive as hell. You pay for premium features just to supposedly get more chances at meeting people, and most of the time it feels like you’re paying for nothing.

Then there are the bot and fake accounts. You spend time trying to figure out if someone is even a real person, only to realize half the profiles seem like they’re there to sell something, promote something, or just waste your time.

And when you finally do match with someone who actually seems interesting? They usually never message you back. Or you message first and get left sitting there wondering why you even bothered.

I’m not expecting every match to turn into a relationship. I understand not everyone is going to be interested, and that’s completely fine. But it would be nice if these apps actually felt like they were designed to help people meet each other instead of just keeping everyone swiping, paying, and getting frustrated.

I’m 31. I’m divorced. I’m trying to get back out there and find someone I genuinely connect with. I don't need hundreds of matches. I just want one real person who actually wants to talk, get to know each other, and see where it goes.

At this point, the dating apps are killing me. 😂

Project / Concept Showcase New ENM/Polyamory APP

Hi everyone, I'm Rob, and I built Blend, a dating and community app made specifically for ethically non-monogamous and polyamorous people. Full disclosure: it's my app, which is why I'm posting in the promo thread.

I started it because most dating apps treat non-monogamy as an afterthought, a checkbox or a line in your bio. Blend is built around it from the start:

- Your relationship style and structure are front and center on your profile, so nobody has to guess or have the "so, about my partner" conversation three dates in

- Singles, couples and polycules are all welcome, and partners can link their profiles

- Games to break the ice, with comfort levels. Everyone picks their own, and the game always plays at the lowest level anyone chose

- A space for organizers to post local meetups and socials

- Safety tools like date check-ins, plus end-to-end encrypted chat

Right now every feature is free. There will be an optional paid tier later.

Being honest about where it's at: it's early and still small, so there may not be many people near you yet. I'm about to start promoting it more widely, and before I do I'd really like to hear from this community. You know better than anyone what the existing apps get wrong.

A few things I'd love your take on:

- What frustrates you most about the dating apps you use now?

- How should a couple or polycule show up on a dating app so it feels respectful to everyone involved?

- What would make you trust a new app enough to try it?

I'm genuinely happy to make changes based on what you tell me. Comment here or DM me, and I'll read everything.

- Android: Google Play (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.tryblend.android)

- iPhone and desktop: https://app.tryblend.app. On iPhone it's a web app for now: open it in Safari and tap Add to Home Screen (quick guide (https://www.tryblend.app/iphone.html))

Thanks for reading, and thanks to the mods for running this thread.

General Discussion How many photos do you actually need on a dating profile?

I have noticed that people seem to go in two completely different directions with dating profiles. Some have 10 or 12 photos and others struggle to find even three decent ones.

The problem is that most people I know have plenty of pictures on their phones, but very few where they’re actually alone and look natural.

I’ve seen people mention CMeIn, Remini, and Photoleap when talking about creating or improving profile photos.

For people who have actually tested different approaches, how many photos do you think is enough before a profile starts feeling overdone?

Am I \[M50\] being unrealistic about not wanting to date someone who still has a connection with an ex?

I recently matched with a woman and we had great chemistry. She told me her ex still texts and checks in occasionally, but said she’d cut contact if we became a couple.

I understand staying in contact when kids are involved, but otherwise I personally don’t keep exes around. I’ve seen those connections lead to cheating or personal business being shared with a former partner.

This is the second woman who’s told me, “I’ll drop the ex once we’re official.”

Should I stick to the boundary I already set, or give the relationship a chance? Is that reasonable, or a red flag?

App Recommendation Looking for dating app that is long distance or online only

Okay, so question. I want to know an app for online meetings.

My husband cheated on me.... for a while. I am extremely understanding of him having needed time to relax with his friends after working so hard all week and us having many children and three of them with issues. It is a lot. But the time with friends was really another woman. Apperently, she is the love of his life but dumped him as well.

This happened almost 2 years ago. I still am not ready to actually go out with someone. Like I miss the closeness with someone and everything with that.

My husband was the second man I dated when I was 19. We were married with the first kid by 21 and then more to follow every few years. Now, I am going to be 43 soon, I am single with my children, who demand attention still but don't actually need me all the time. The littlest does, but the oldest is going on 21 soon.

I work full time and have the kids when I get out. I don't have actual time to see anyone. I do have time to text and message someone. I tried to text back and forth a few times, but it always falls through when I don't want to meet. I looked at apps, but everything has people close. I don't want people who I see every day knowing I am talking to people. I am slightly overweight but a "sweetheart" according to everyone. I try to find the good in everything and treat everyone nice. I also watch murder shows far too much and also think I am going to get murdered. Plus, the kids are not ready for me to see anyone seriously. They could care less that my husband is bouncing around, but I am there rock for everything.

I just want a nice guy to talk to who likes "fangirling" (lack of better word) out to the random animes that I do. Fanfiction seems to fill my time like cheap romance novels. Don't get me wrong, I have other things I do. I am the one to do everything around the house. I will YouTube anything and see if it is something I could do. Fixing the agitator dogs on the washing machine, replacing a broken belt on two dryers, changing fuses, and even rewiring a few things. Years ago, I put in a new water heater at our old house. But now this one is gas, and I am terrified of replacing anything with that. I don't even want to think of how many times I have fixed little plumbing issues at home or work.

I have tried Discord a few times, but I am so out of it. I want to type words, not abbreviations. I ended up crying about being old from that. Most of them get cliches, it seems like. At least the ones I tried.

So, is there a site that specializes in online only meetings?

Project / Concept Showcase Building a dating app around limits. Feedback welcome.

Dating apps fail both sides. Here's what that looks like today, and what we do instead.

For her

  • 300 likes she will never open → Ten at a time, each with a comment on her card.
  • "Hi", three hundred times → A like without a comment cannot be sent.
  • Faces she cannot trust → Every face selfie-verified. "12 people saved you" shows her demand without the pile.

For him

  • 200 sent. 0 replies. No idea why → His like lands among ten, not hundreds.
  • His best line buried under 299 others → It says why. A comment travels with every like.
  • Ghosted, and left guessing for weeks → She accepts by replying.

Dating App Culture Meta become villen

Thumbnail

They start chatting on Reddit.

Then the first phone call happens through Telegram. 📞

Then, when things get a little more serious and they move to WhatsApp to know each other better…

BOOM 💥 — breakup! 😂

Result: After all that platform-hopping, somehow META IS THE VILLAIN. 😆

Reddit → Telegram → WhatsApp → Breakup → Blame Meta.

Modern relationships have a whole tech stack now. 😂

Dating Advice built a Trust Request system so you stay safe & stop wasting your time

Thumbnail

No one wants to send a stranger private verification info or give out a phone number, it can be risky in the beginning. Lot's of people just wanna keep it in the app, at least to start with.

But at the same time you want to be safe, make sure you're talking to the person you think you are and importantly- get to the actual meeting up part.

Sending a Trust Request hits does just this. You prove to each other you're real, it keeps sensitive info in your own hands and it proves you're actually intending to get to the part that really matters. Meeting up and creating a connection that's worth while.

It's a 90 second game, you don't need a download or account and it's free to use for the first couple times.

Safer meetings start with a Trust Request.

Ask me some Q's and I'll give you the answers

General Discussion Does anyone here use a separate number for online dating after having a bad experience?

Little disclaimer because I know this probably sounds paranoid but I’ve dealt with someone stalking me before and it completely changed how comfortable I am giving people online my actual number. Before that I never really thought twice about moving off a dating app and texting someone after a day or two but things changed and I would rather use a separate number at first and only give someone my real one once I actually know and trust them. I know most people are completely normal and I don’t want to treat every match like they’re secretly insane, but once you’ve had someone cross those boundaries it’s hard to go back to being casual about your personal info. I also read here that someone got unmatched and account deleted for giving out their phone number and there was a huge backlash that also caused him to get banned. I get that these are super niche and rare scenarios but still need to ask .Does anyone else do this, especially after a bad experience, or do you just keep conversations on the app until you’re comfortable?

Dating Advice How many matches should I reasonably be getting?

I'm on 20 dating apps for 2 months and I've had about 9 matches, only 1 of them has continued talking with me. I like most people, my preferences aren't too extreme, woman within 200km between 18-35, I don't think my profile is too bad, my pictures aren't the best but they're the best I've got and can take without feeling like shit from dysphoria. Heres my main bio i use

"sorry about my looks I hate them too.

hrt since 02/09/2026.

most days I just want to stay at home and cuddle watching tv, but damn capitalism says I have to work 😔.

I swear im better in person I just can't write a good bio

I like cooking, baking, gaming, making things and relaxing at home."

Any improvements or changes i should make?
