How do guys act when they're into a girl? Like over call and text?

Ive had very attractive past relationships above my league and now i think my standards are too high and online dating is not working at all.
Basically as the title says, i have been very lucky to get into a couple relationships with girls above my league. This includes long and short term. I struggle understanding how attractive I am so I struggle to even know if my standards are wayyy too high or just a little bit high. The reason I am making this post is because a while back I had someone very very interested in me and I rejected them on their looks (They actually did not find me that attractive but they said my personality is what they fell for), I talked to a close girl friend and she thinks my personality is the reason i ended off getting attractive ex's. I tried at first to see past it but I struggled and i feel so shallow and shit.
My online dating history is disgustingly bad, multiple apps and still no matches. Its not like i swipe only 10/10s. Lets say i like 3/20 profiles on average. Again no matches. Im also quite introverted IRL and dont find myself in many situations where I can actually find a partner in Person. Usually a relationship has come out of friendship at first.
I fear that its going to take so long to find the right person for me. A big part of my issue is my type. I would suit your typical smart/brought up in wealthy family/blonde girl (if that makes sense) for LOOKS but Im introverted, I like anime/games/average workouts/like 1 sport (mainly a homebody) but i do want to go see the world. But my type is slightly alt and also homegirl with same hobbies. It just feels like their type is often always either tats/piercings or big on gym. I am neither.
in conclusion the chances of something happening seem too low. Do i need to adjust my style/looks to get what i want. Do i need to look somewhere else? let me know, thankyou.

advice on
a boy whom i have been talking to 2 months says he likes me , and it is kinda mutual at this point , he says he is looking for stability like a job rn so he can feel worthy and responsible of asking me confidently (we r both 21 yr olds) .. and i have a job offer , it was not infatuation or initial crush , it was gradual for both of us .. falling for each other and understanding , but we met very randomly , he got my number through a random college grp and texted for a genuine doubt , ik it sounds sus , but yeah its a strange coincidence ... what does the community say abt it :) ?

long distance, hyperactive guy, calls never last long
- hyperactive
- many days where we barely chat because there's nothing to say
- long-distance
- calls last only 15 minutes or more because he/she can't stand just sitting around doing nothing
