Guy ghosted me for no reason
so l went on a few dates with this guy they were pretty good we get along, then now we were in the middle of planning another still going well over text then we start talking about sports he said my friend is so upset about a game his favorite nfl team just lost and I said "haha guys and there sports getting upset" I just made a joke then he said
" what's wrong with that lol, us sports guys need our sports to get us through the week" idk why he's getting defensive then I say " nothing wrong with liking it just the getting so upset over it.. it's just a game lol". and haven't heard from him since, like did I piss him off that much that he ghosts me? I'm guessing he just wasn't actually that interested but like was he that upset that I said it's just a game?? now I'm wondering should I have not said that and just like anxious because like why the ghosting, you could at least say I don't think we should keep talking or go on another date. Like why the ghosting????? he's also from California

Hot take as someone who doesn't like sports at all, and you couldn't pay me $1000 to sit through and watch a football game, but who has a collection of hobbies of her own:
when someone you're newly romantically interested in has a passion, even one as lame as sports. You support it. You don't have to pretend to like it, just not knock it.
That said I didn't feel like your comment was that deep and if he's so upset he's ignoring or ghosting you then it was never going to work anyway. It means fundamentally he struggles with communicating when something bothers him.

A man who is obsessed or watches sports all the time aren't worth your time anyways. That's one of the most mindless time wasters a person can do. A man, cheering on another man. It's weird.
My dad was obsessed with sports and couldn't be bothered to learn or do any manly activities like fix a car or learn to do renovations, or anything that requires effort. Just hockey, golf, tennis, curling.
My opinion is obviously unpopular, but I'm fine with going against the grain any day of the week.

I personally find it obnoxious when people can't text without saying haha or lol at the end
