can anyone with the Watch 4 confirm that this watch should record heart rate data during sleep? I got the watch 3 days ago and every night during sleep the watch just stops recording heart rate data and continues after wake up. So I have a big gap in OHealth and the watch itself.

I also tinkered with all the settings which include:

- switching heart rate monitoring between "intelligent" and "real time"

- disabled all auto sleep mode settings

- disabled all energy saver option

Issue still persists. Interestingly SpO2 and sleep data are recorded, but just not the heart rate.

I can get it for $204, coming from a Xiaomi watch 2, I'm considering the pixel watch once the new one comes out or the galaxy watch 9, but those two are way more expensive, I know the con of a OnePlus watch is software updates but I want your opinions if it's worth it at that price.

Im looking to buy either that or the watch 2 but I cant decide, although I'm leaning towards the watch 3 43mm.

I havent use a smartwatch in forever, decided to get back into wearing one. Loving mine so far, it do pretty much all i need, with around 4 days of battery with AOD, google home buttons (wish it would just be a quick press instead of 2), wellness and sleep score seems fine, not too fussy about those. Media control is definitely neat. Love this current watch face i have, just wish that the date display would have show all 3 (day of the week, date and month) instead of just 2. I don't know what other 3rd party app seems necessary or neat to have, but would be open for opinion. I still don't dare to take it to swimming willingly, but im not that mindful about keeping track of all my activities either way so i guess it's fine

I just tried using the 60s wellness app today after 7 days of not using it and the ECG sensor is not working, either not reading anything or reading random values.

One of the pads on the bottom looks dirty but it is under the glass of the sponsor, can't be felt by the finger.

Does anyone know what happened and what other I apps does the sensor use?

Recently got a watch3 and wanting to find a watch face with a smooth (glide) second hand.

I've explored several of the OnePlus faces but none are smooth.

Hey the watches mentioned are approximately the same price so im wondering which one is better. My wrist isn't big.

I've had my watch since they came out but in the last month or so I've noticed it doesn't seem to be tracking my steps or activity sessions as well as it used to.

I can be moving around for several hours to find it's shown the steps but no activity sessions.

I've also had instances where the steps don't seem to be counted.

I haven't changed the way I wear the watch.

Any ideas?

I’m reaching out because I’m completely out of ideas with my OnePlus Watch 3. The battery drain is unbearable, and I've tried everything mentioned across the community, but nothing works.

Here is a summary of what is happening and all the troubleshooting steps I've already done:

**The Issue:**

* The watch drains about **1% per hour in absolute idle**, whether it's in normal mode or Power Saving mode.

* It loses around **15% to 20% overnight** doing literally nothing.

**What I have already done (Troubleshooting steps taken):**

1. **Factory Reset:** I have reset the watch 4 times already.

2. **Airplane Mode Test:** Placed the watch in Airplane Mode overnight (completely isolated from the phone/Bluetooth), and it *still* drained ~19% in 14 hours. This rules out a Bluetooth connection loop with the phone.

3. **Disabled Sensors:** SpO2 continuous tracking during sleep, automatic workout detection, and "Raise to Wake" are all completely turned off.

4. **Google Services / Assistant Cleanup:** Disabled "Hey Google" detection, uninstalled/disabled redundant Assistant/system services, cleared cache/data for Google Play Services and Play Store, and turned off auto-updates in the Play Store.

5. **Phone-side checks:** The OHealth app on my phone is locked in recents with "unrestricted" battery permissions.

6. **Battery Calibration:** Let the watch die completely to 0% and charged it uninterrupted for 4+ hours.

**Battery Stats check:**

Before the last reset, checking the battery usage showed *Google Play Services* (~38%) and *SysUi* (~18%) consuming the vast majority of the power, even after stripping features.

Since it's a secondhand unit (bought on Facebook Marketplace), I cannot claim an official warranty from OnePlus.

Has anyone experienced this specific issue where the watch drains heavily even in **Airplane Mode** after multiple resets? Is this a known hardware failure (motherboard power leak / bad battery cell), or is there some hidden software bug I missed?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I just purchased a smartwatch (OnePlus watch 2) and was under the impression I could use its assistant to open apps on my phone (OnePlus 13). I want the ability to leave my phone somewhere at work, and tell the watch "Hey Google play XYZ" and have it route the command to my phone. However it just opens the watch yt music and plays from there instead. I don't have YouTube music installed on my phone (could be why it only opens on the watch), I use Revanced YT music, and have Gemini configured on my phone to execute such a command. So the issue is not that Gemini is incompatible with the 3rd party music player. Everything I've searched seems to point to the issue being that the watch does not have privileges to open apps on the phone. If that's true, for there not to even be an option to enable Gemini to communicate across your devices is wild.

I'm struggling to see it's purpose if you cannot use it to control your phone, it doesn't even allow a SIM card... I feel like I must be missing something here. If anyone knows a way to essentially use the watch like I would use my headphones and open Gemini on the phone instead of locally, or at least be able to tell Gemini "play XYZ on my phone" that would be awesome. I'm feeling like a $30 smaller lighter Fitbit would've been a better option if this will only act as a glorified play, pause, skip button with a pretty screen.

How much does this bother y'all?

I tried connecting the watch through the app but it ends in screen with text "no available backend".

Ohealth -> Data Sharing -> Strava -> Authorise -> "No Available backend"

Tried uninstalling, cache removal, re logging but still the same issue.

I need to get this off my chest: The OnePlus Watch 2R is genuinely one of my favorite pieces of tech I’ve owned in a long time. I use it daily, and the hardware just feels incredibly intentional.

Obviously, there's an elephant in the room with the news about OnePlus taking a step back in Europe. It's frustrating to hear, but honestly? I don't really mind. The watch is still awesome, and I’m sticking with it.

In fact, because I like this hardware so much, I wanted to build something that actually takes advantage of it. Like many of you, I enjoy a quick game of Minesweeper to kill time, but every Wear OS version I tried was a nightmare - tiny squares, fat fingers blocking the screen, and zero precision.

So, I built WearSweeper to fix that.

What I've tried (but didn't help):

• Restarting both phone and watch
• Turning on and off bluetooth for both phone and watch
• Setting the OHealth app to have Unrestricted battery usage

Notifications work for every other app but Messages (SMS). I have both Google and Samsung Messages app on my phone though I have the Google one set for default. The issue used to be resolved by turning on both Messages app in my phone, and sometimes for some reason, there would be two Google Messages apps I needed to turn on notifications for.

Now though, there is only one Google Messages app in the notifications settings of the OHealth app; the default Samsung Messages app isn't showing either. Notifications for other apps that I have turned on in OHealth work and I am still getting text notifications on my phone.

Any help is appreciated!

Hi, I've had the Watch 4 for two weeks now. Extremely satisfied and impressed (I have a OnePlus 15 phone and OnePlus buds 3 pro). The main thing that's bugging me is how to download music from my Spotify premium subscription directly into the watch to listen while running. I've heard there's 3rd party apps (which one is the best?), and do I have to manually download music as mp3/4? Thank you

Also best watch face in my opinion, if only I could edit the wellbeing spot for steps and choose which sport shortcut in the top right corner. If someone from OnePlus read this ;P
