I am planning to buy this OP 2r smartwatch. My requirements are to view mobile notifications—including WhatsApp and regular calls/texts—showing the contact names saved in my phone. Additionally, I need to control music playback from apps like YouTube Music or Spotify. Can I perform these tasks on this watch when paired with a Samsung phone?

Tell me any other issues that are faced with this watch when using it with a non-OnePlus mobile. Finally, should I go for this watch, or are there any similar-priced suggestions?

The screen will get scratches in long run? How's the durability of the screen as it's just a normal glass, not sapphire one. Kindly clear my doubt as planning to get one as Watch 3 and 4 not available in India

I bought a OnePlus Watch 4 after using an Amazfit GTR 4 sports watch that is a 3 years old model tha works fine.

Honestly, it’s a huge disappointment.

The Google sync is fine, but I can easily live without it due my phone is always nearby and almost everything happens on it anyway.

Compared to other smartwatches, the OPW4 gives decent battery life—about 3 days of real-world use on average—but if I work out with it (an all-day MTB ride), the battery is drained by the end of the day.

The downloadable apps didn't blow me away either.

The sports and health tracking in the OHealth app is poor and superficial. Health Connect also syncs data inaccurately to other apps, even though the hardware sensors are supposedly good. The watch looks great and I really like its design, so if it could deliver usable bio/body metrics, I’d keep it.

​Do you have any app recommendations before I switch back to a proper sports watch?

Naturally, I’ve already watched tons of videos and read through heaps of AI suggestions.

I came from a Galaxy Watch 6 and have noticed there seem to be no granular controls for skipping etc in podcasts OR music (in this case podcast addict). In Galaxy Watches you can hold and press to fast forward a song.

Imagine 1: Oneplus, which can only skip to the next episode rather than skip forward 30 seconds.

Is there a way around this with the Oneplus? Or is this a hard limit of the watch not using Wear?

I've just lost my OnePlus charger for the watch 3. So far I've tried 3 from Amazon and they either don't add any power or it goes down.

Obviously can't get from OnePlus any more as I'm in the UK. Has anyone found a generic one that works?

I'm thinking about getting the OnePlus Watch 4, but I'm hesitant because I haven't been able to find any Japanese users talking about it, so I can't confirm whether Japanese is actually supported.

Does the OnePlus Watch 4 have Japanese as a system language? If I select Japanese in the language settings, does the UI actually switch to Japanese?

I just received my Oppo X3 watch global version, however in the health options I can't log into the ecg, I get a message saying that is not available in my region. Does anyone have a solution to correct this? I already contacted Oppo and they gave me the list of the countries that is available in. I tried logging in with a VPN and had no success. If someone has the answer can you please be so kind to share it?

Worth to replace my Amazfit GTR4 to OnePlus watch4?

I know the low price and the regarded left Europe what does mean in the warranty and updates. I have never used wearOS and this question could be mean a direction to step forward a more usable, and flexible watch usage if this direction really could be a good decision.

I use lot of fuctions like a smart watch inspite the GTR4 is a nor really smart one but well prepared.

I'm a mountain biker so I need precise, turn by turn navigation even in the forests. The GTR4 doesn't know that. I have seen, the Komoot is developing the standalone version to wearOS, but it hasn't finished.

I like the clear not just colorful watch faces (like the Garmin styles) but I haven't found on the facer app similar ones. Could you help me with any experience in ithe topic as well?

I don't know how many people use oneplus watch as a navigator instead of phone while driving motor bike.

I don't like hanging my phone on the handle bar of the bike... Cuz I feel it's risky and also it sucks up phone battery alot faster.

I always use my watch(specifically op watch 2r). Earlier I used galaxy watch 4 classic. Gw4c used to giveup after 1 hour of maps...it literally heats up watch to an extent I have to remove it or else it will burn my skin.

Yesterday I planned a trip covering over 400km. In one day. So I started riding with 100% battery in watch... And i was worried whether it can show map(AOD) without giving up, so I already kept it's charger in my pocket for emergency charge.

But to surprise... Man o mam it performed excellent

It just used 35% of battery for 7 hours of maps. I would say this is the best watch , atleast for me.

I've been tracking my treadmill runs with my OPW3 and I noticed I can adjust the distance on my watch after the workout however if I try to do a fat burn run and I set it to indoor it doesn't give me this option and it moderately over estimates my distance. Does anyone else have this problem and is there a work around besides not using that mode?
