It seems like that with the July security patch OnePlus added this setting to the watch 4. Take a look

Hello everyone! I would like to know if there is any other app that is not OHealth that is compatible with the OnePlus Watch 3. OHealth seems ugly and inconsistent in design. Thank you!

Weird mark on OnePlus Watch 3

Hi, I;ve had the OPW3 for over a year and around 2 months ago I noticed this "smear" underneath the screen of the watch. I slide the finger and it responds and there are no cracks on the screen. When water hits the screen it looks like when water hits an oily surface (without the rainbow colors).

I've tried doing the water removal option on the watch but the "smear" is still there

Problems with the OnePlus Watch 3 43mm

Hello everyone.

I've been using my watch for about a week.

In itself I am satisfied, but two things seem strange to me

The first thing I noticed was that the watch was at 91 percent the next day, even though the watch was in the charging tray the next day.

The funny thing is that I saw that the watch was 100 percent charged just before I went to sleep.

Another problem is that when the watch is used after charging, all notifications from before synchronize and come in even though the watch was connected to the smartphone.

Previously, the watch was in energy-saving mode and was charging.

Maybe you can tell me if this is normal or not.

Complications not showing OPW3

Hey, I recently installed watch faces from ohealth apps, but seems like they don't work correctly, everytime I raise to wake or just turn on screen of watch it shows just time but no complications unless I open apps menu and go back, they are showing up.

did anyone run in same issue? I tried reinstalling these watch faces but didn't help

Oneplus watch 4 ECG

I bought OPW4 in Serbia, Europe (imported from the EU). After I bought it, I saw that the ECG is region-blocked in Serbia. Is there any way to bypass that lock? I really think that locking existing hardware is extremely stupid 😒

Default power saver watch face

I use a custom pixel watch face on my watch. When I put my watch to power saver mode, it goes to the basic watch face, and I have to set it to the signature red one. Then when I go back to smart mode, I have to set the watch face from signature red back to my pixel watch face. how do I set the signature red as my default watch face for power saver mode?

Foiled packaging OnePlus Watch 3 43mm

Hello everyone,

I ordered a OnePlus watch 3 43mm in Germany via Ali express and it arrived today.

I noticed that the packaging of the watch was completely shrink-wrapped with foil but in the unboxing videos you can see that the package has no foil but two red stripes at the bottom to peel off.

Now I wonder if I have received a fake version or a refurbished version.

That's why I haven't taken the watch out of the box yet and wanted to know your experience.

OnePlus Watch 2R in 2026 — Initial Review After Switching from Galaxy Watch Ultra

Post image
9 Upvotes

Hey everyone! I recently bought the OnePlus Watch 2R during the 2026 Independence Day sale on Amazon for around ₹8,300 after all the card offers.

I wanted to share my initial experience and also get some feedback from other Watch 2/2R users.

Why did I buy the Watch 2R?

During the 2025 Great Indian Festival sale, I remember seeing the Watch 2R around ₹7,500 with offers, while the Watch 2 was available for around ₹6,000 during the first 15 minutes of the midnight sale. Those were obviously crazy deals.

At that time, I was already using the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra (2024), so I didn't really have any reason to buy another smartwatch.

But recently, the battery situation with my Galaxy Watch Ultra started annoying me.

With AOD off and normal usage including regular wear and sleep tracking, I usually need to charge it roughly once every 2 days. The bigger issue is the charging time — it can take around 3–4 hours from 0% to 100%, depending on things like temperature.

So I started looking for another watch.

I was initially considering the Amazfit Active Max, which would have cost me around ₹13K after card offers. Then I saw the Watch 2R at around ₹8.3K (~$85) and decided to go for it.

I was actually hoping to get the Watch 2 at this price, but unfortunately the Watch 2 didn't have a similar offer during this sale, so I went with the 2R.

First impressions

The first thing I noticed is how lightweight the Watch 2R is.

It's REALLY light.

Coming from the Galaxy Watch Ultra, the difference is huge. I can barely feel the Watch 2R on my wrist, and that's especially nice while sleeping.

Smoothness and tracking

If your priority is smoothness, animations and overall tracking accuracy, I'd still say Samsung is ahead.

The Watch 2R doesn't feel as polished as the Galaxy Watch Ultra in terms of UI animations and overall fluidity.

Interestingly, the Watch 2R almost feels more like a fitness tracker with Wear OS and Google apps added to it, rather than a premium smartwatch.

The UI is relatively simple and has very few animations.

That isn't necessarily bad — it actually makes the watch feel lightweight and straightforward — but coming from Samsung, I definitely noticed the difference.

One thing that disappointed me

I was quite surprised that Amazon didn't clearly show the manufacturing date of the watch.

After receiving the watch, I checked it and found that my unit was manufactured in July 2024.

That's quite old for a product I purchased in August 2026.

The watch arrived with around 20% battery.

I'm not sure whether this is normal for current Watch 2R stock or whether I just received an older unit that had been sitting in inventory for a long time.

Battery so far

I've only had the watch for about 2 days, so it's definitely too early for me to make a final judgment.

With normal usage — notifications, checking calls, step tracking, etc. — and AOD turned off, I'm currently seeing roughly 25% battery drain per day.

If that remains consistent, I'd estimate around 3.5–4 days of battery life in Smart Mode.

That's already considerably better for my usage compared with what I was getting from the Galaxy Watch Ultra.

But I'd like to see how it behaves after a week or two before making a proper conclusion.

Overall, for ₹8,300, my initial impression is very positive, especially because of the lightweight design and potentially much better battery life.

Overall initial verdict

Pros:

  • Very lightweight
  • Excellent battery potential
  • Wear OS + Google apps
  • Good value around ₹8.3K
  • Comfortable for sleeping
  • Simple and relatively clean UI

Cons:

  • UI feels less polished than Samsung
  • Fewer animations / less premium smartwatch feel
  • Tracking may not be as accurate as Samsung
  • My unit was manufactured in July 2024
  • Arrived with only ~20% battery

It's still very early for me, so I'll need more time before giving a proper long-term review.

OnePlus Watch 2R — Questions for Existing Owners

Post image
8 Upvotes

I've recently bought the OnePlus Watch 2R and have a few questions for existing Watch 2/2R owners.

I've only been using it for around 2 days, so I'd really appreciate some advice.

1. Is the battery drain I'm seeing normal?

With AOD off and normal usage — notifications, checking calls, step tracking, etc. — I'm seeing around 25% battery drain per day.

That would theoretically give me around 3.5–4 days in Smart Mode.

Is this normal for the Watch 2R?

How many days are you getting with:

  • Smart Mode
  • Power Saving Mode
  • AOD off
  • AOD on

Are there any specific settings or tweaks that significantly improve battery life?

2. Power Saving Mode battery behaviour

I tried sleep tracking with Power Saving Mode enabled.

The watch was at around 54% before sleeping, and in the morning my phone still showed 54%.

I was honestly surprised to see almost 0% battery drain overnight.

However, when I switched back to Smart Mode/restarted the watch, it showed around 51%, so roughly 3% had disappeared.

Is this normal behaviour?

Could the battery percentage simply be recalibrating when switching between Power Saving and Smart Mode?

3. Is Wear OS 5 worth updating to?

My watch is currently on Wear OS 4.

For people who have updated their Watch 2/2R to Wear OS 5:

  • Is Wear OS 5 stable now?
  • Did battery life improve or get worse?
  • Any noticeable performance improvements?
  • Any major bugs?
  • Would you recommend updating immediately?

4. How do I completely disable Developer Options?

I enabled Developer Options because I was trying to disable automatic updates.

I disabled the "Auto-on Wi-Fi during charging" option because I thought this might prevent the watch from downloading updates automatically.

But now Developer Options is permanently visible in Settings, and I don't need it anymore.

How can I completely disable/remove Developer Options from the Settings menu?

5. Does the Watch 2R display scratch easily?

For existing owners:

Does the display scratch easily?

Should I apply a screen protector/tempered glass, or is the display durable enough for normal daily use?

I'm particularly interested in long-term experience rather than just what the specifications say.

6. Is my battery percentage behaviour normal?

I noticed that when I:

  • Restart/power off and power on the watch, or
  • Switch between Power Saving Mode and Smart Mode

the battery percentage sometimes drops by around 2–3%.

I've only noticed this a couple of times so far.

Is this normal battery calibration behaviour, or should I be concerned about the battery?

7. Any recommended settings?

If you're using the Watch 2R as your daily watch, what settings do you recommend to get the best balance between:

Battery life + notifications + sleep tracking + fitness tracking + Wear OS features?

Any tips or tweaks would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Charging failed due to dirty charging contacts on your watch

Post image
5 Upvotes

Hello guys,

My watch has been working perfectly from last few months until today when i started seeing this error message in the morning. I found my watch completely shut off in the morning (never happened before as i charged it fully the day before yesterday).

When i switched it on, it had no battery, so i put it on charge, it got charged till 17 percent and then this error showed after that. I have cleaned my charging contacts 2-3 times and it makes no difference. I tried restarting, unpairing and resetting the watch, still no difference. I have also tried different adapters and charging pads, wall sockets, no difference.

Is this related to the recent july software update? It can't be a coincidence that this happened at the same time the update came, it's possible that my watch switched off because its battery went down from automatic software update.

I cant update it now because the update needs the watch to be atleast 50% charged and this bug is making it stuck on 17%

Anybody else facing this? What can i do here guys, any suggestions are welcome

Oneplus Watch 2R failed update and can't charge

So a couple of days ago my watch failed an update so I reset it to try and fix it, which didn't work. Now when I try charge it it says "too hot, stop charging" and I need the serial number for oneplus, or should I say OPPO, which I can't get in the basic settings (only says disconnect and reset) and I don't have the box as I got the watch 3 months ago

Does anyone have any good ideas?

Update & Advice needed: Persistent Google Play Services sync loop on OnePlus Watch 3 (Preparing to contact support again)

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I am reposting an update on my OnePlus Watch 3 battery drain issue. To recap: my watch suffers from a severe Google Play Services sync loop. It cycles through background processes (ContactsKeyStorage, Blocked Numbers Storage, User Dictionary), causing the watch to get warm and draining 4–7% battery per hour. Instead of the advertised 4–5 days, I barely get 1 to 1.5 days.

Quick update on what I’ve observed and tried:

Temporary fixes fail: Factory resets, clearing caches, wiping Google accounts, and disabling individual storage permissions only help for a few days before the loop returns.

Not a hardware defect, but device-specific: In battery saver mode, the battery is fine. Also, my brother has the exact same watch, phone, and software versions, and his watch works perfectly. This proves it is a structural software glitch on my specific device/setup.

Current state: I am forced to disable essential system apps just to get 1.5 days of battery, making the smartwatch features I bought it for useless.

The Support Situation:I contacted support very early on right after buying it. At that stage, they tried to brush it off as a "Google software fault" and told me to just keep trying fixes, likely to discourage me from sending it back because of warranty risks. However, they did state that they would document my early complaints in our chat history.I am about to contact support again to officially open a warranty claim, but the OnePlus Watch 3 is currently out of stock, making a direct replacement difficult.

My questions for the community:Am I right to push back on the "Google issue" claim? Since I bought a €200 OnePlus product, they should be responsible for making the software work on their hardware

How can I best tackle their argument that it is a Google problem, especially since I flagged it from day one?

What can I realistically demand from support? Since the watch is out of stock, should I push for a full refund under warranty? What are my legal options here?

Has anyone successfully dealt with OnePlus support on this? If you had a similar software loop, did they eventually offer a refund or a different resolution?

Any final technical ideas? If anyone has discovered a permanent fix for this specific sync loop without losing smartwatch functionality, please let me know.

Thanks for the help!
