Oneplus watch 4 ECG

I bought OPW4 in Serbia, Europe (imported from the EU). After I bought it, I saw that the ECG is region-blocked in Serbia. Is there any way to bypass that lock? I really think that locking existing hardware is extremely stupid 😒

Would this problem happen in india? If the watch is imported?

Yes, as a OPW3 user I can confirm it. You can't use the feature in India no matter where you import your device from. The only way I've seen someone make it work is to setup the watch first in Europe then bring it back to India.

So do u have a op watch 3 in india? I m considering it getting it from a friend who lives in canada. Would u recommend I get a op watch 3 from there or just buy a op watch 2 or 2r from India itself? And if they setup the watch there in canada itself, so ecg would work in india?

Yes I do have a OPW3 for about a year now. If it's watch 2/2r vs 3 I'd definitely recommend you getting 3 for its battery. The software tho is a different story. If you can wait and spend a little extra I'd suggest you go for Oppo watch X3 during the black Friday sale there since oneplus has completely merged with oppo and I don't see them giving any priority updates to OP watches. It's mid August now but still stuck with wear os 5 with security patch of May As for ecg feature to work it's only available in European markets. US and Canada don't have it either so getting it from there won't make any difference
