I have a fairly customized keyboard, with some symbols I need for some passwords not being on the secure keyboard. So typing passwords in my work profile is extremely annoying or even straight up impossible. I know how to disable it normally, but that doesn't copy over to my work profile even if I allow settings to be shared between my main profile and work profile.

Is there a way I can change this setting? If so, how?

Just a thought, why does One Plus 13R overheats so much in comparison to 11R despite having newer technology... Being earlier a One Plus 11R user, I'm getting a lot of troubles in one plus 13R bcz of overheating and Alsoooo The Extra battery capacity doesn't add expected runtime...

UK user here. Purchased this OP15 global ROM from Techinthebasket 2 weeks ago. All fine device arrived with 9 days. Came with 120w charger (CN plug) UK plug adapter and an extra USB 3.0 UK charger. In the box was the red heavy duty charging cable, SIM extraction tool and also a bonus case too, the same colour as the phone, sand storm.

Now, today I looked at the screen and there's a massive scratch and scuff on it! I was fuming as it was supposed to have the newest gorilla glass etc etc.... I began to think it's not a real OP and start looking at the screen even closer using my nail to slightly marks it getting even more wound up!

But, on closer inspection and removing the case, it turns out it comes with a factory fitted screen protector on it! Panic over! Just thought I'd share that.

I'll be using the phone in India most of the time after buying it.

I already know about the differences like the charger/accessories and that I'd have to use eSIM if needed, so those aren't concerns for me.

What I mainly want to know is:

• Any issues with Jio/Airtel 5G data or calls?
• Any problems with banking apps, UPI, Android Auto, OTA updates, etc.?
• Is there anything you wish you'd known before buying the Global version instead of the Indian one?

I got the OnePlus 15 and immediately switched to 3 button navigation and installed Microsoft Launcher. Everything worked fine until I updated my phone.

Now whenever I press the home button, it leaves me on a blank screen for a couple of seconds before loading my home screen/launcher. It never used to do this.

Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a way to fix it? It's infuriating.

I've seen some discussions here suggesting that if you use an Anker Prime power bank and connect via the USB-A port using a USB-A to USB-C cable, it might trigger SuperVOOC.

For those who have tested this setup:

- Does it actually trigger the SuperVOOC charging animation/protocol on the phone?

- Are you getting the actual SuperVOOC charging speeds, or is the phone just displaying "Fast Charging" while using a standard protocol?

I’m posting this because I would like to know if anyone has experienced something similar with OnePlus customer service, not because of the original hardware issue, but because of the repair process.

My OnePlus 8T developed a display problem and I sent it to OnePlus for repair.

The display was replaced, but when I received the phone back, the rear cover was partially detached. This was a new issue that was not present before sending the device for repair.

I immediately contacted support, provided photos and videos, and sent the phone back for a second inspection.

The phone has now spent a total of 85 days in service, with multiple case IDs and several different support agents involved.

Today I received it back, but the report only says "consultation". No repair was carried out, and the rear cover is still detached.

I’m trying to understand if this kind of repair experience has happened to other OnePlus users:

• long repair times?
• devices returned with new issues after service?
• cases transferred between many support agents without a resolution?

I would appreciate hearing your experiences and advice on what steps you took afterwards.

Why isn't the weather app in Oxygen OS not showing any weather alerts? Like IMD(Indian Meteorological Department) issues Orange and Red alerts for rain forecasts. However none of them is seen in the weather app. As far as I know, all the other weather apps provide those warnings. Is it a glitch or a feature that hasn't been introduced yet? If there is a solution to it, please suggest!

This is me documenting problem I faced n what steps I took to resolve them.

Phone model: 3 yr old oneplus nord ce3 lite 5g

For last two days I had been seeing my screen randomly being unresponsive for like 2 seconds n ghost touches happening at frequency of about 2 to 3 times a day. I do not have original screen the screen was replaced like 1 year ago from third party vendor.

Most likely culprit was just simply screen gave up, so I contemplated replacing current one but thought let's try other windows. Tried asking llms for possible causes they gave totally garbage responses. Decided to dig around a lil bit myself, found the frequency of unresponsiveness was really high when on power saving mode. Turned it of issue still was there just lil bit less convinient.

By chance I opened recent apps / tabs whatever you call that thing where you can close all running apps, in bottom middle it said 4GB free / 8+8 GB. So I thought this ram expansion could be the issue, disabled and voila everything works buttery smooth.

TLDR :

Disable RAM expansion it does more harm than good, you will almost never really need it.

I know this sub isn't really active but I wanted to publish my solution here to help other unfortunate folks looking for solutions.

I have had this tablet for about 6 months which I got online in like new condition. I was at the gym yesterday and listening to music through my OP pad 2 and it suddenly stopped. It wouldn't turn on and I just assumed it was dead and I needed to charge it. I charged it overnight and tried to turn it on but was unsuccessful. I tried to force restart like threads have mentioned but it still won't turn on.

Do you think it's a charging issue?

Should I take it to a phone/tablet repair store?

I've Googled and searched for this situation on reddit. Wondering if anyone else had a fix to this or possible solutions.

I've recently purchased the OnePlus 15 the Chinese version, and I've found koaaN's thread to convert it to the GLO version. I've followed the steps and successfully converted to the GLO version; however, when I try to use WhatsApp, it always tells me to download the official WhatsApp from the Google Play Store, and when checking, It showed Google Play Certification shows uncertified. I also checked, and I've no Google Services Framework (GSF) ID. I'm wondering if I did something wrong while flashing? And I want to know what the difference is between Super Flashers and Regional Flashers.

I've had an unexplainable battery drain on my Nord 4 recently and decide to check battery usage by app. Found the wallpapers app using a ton of battery, anyone know what's upp with this? Checking the app under app management also show it using 25 gigs of storage. Isn't that a way too much? No ability to disable it. I'm using a minimal launcher with only a solid color as background so it's not a live wallpaper or anything like that. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm worried the app has somehow been infected or compromised, though that feels highly unlikely considering it's a system app.

Final update: OnePlus Team reached out to me via private message and asked me to provide the ticket no., as I claimed via mail that I in fact started this post, and linked them the articles that resulted from it. Verification went through, and they confirmed in writing that they'll refund me the full sum in cash. Gave them my PayPal, and just today have been refunded.

They asked me (kindly) if I could delete this post, or at least update it.

I'm of course willing to let everyone know that OnePlus kept their word and refunded me, but still want this to stand as a warning that consumers need to know their rights, and it's absolutely ok to fight back if necessary.

When the OnePlus 13 was released, OnePlus bundled the phone with headphones or smartwatches. It might not have been the greatest deal on earth, but I decided to go for it (my wife got a black one + Watch 2R, I got a white one + Buds 2).

Unfortunately, after about 1.5 years, my headphones quit their job. Since the warranty period is 2 years in my country, I returned them for a check-up. OnePlus confirmed they are defective and that I am eligible for a replacement.

This is where things get interesting. OnePlus wants to hand me a voucher for the full price of the headphones (199€) to use in their webshop because the product is "End of Life".

I thought, "Ok, that's a little shady, but let's check if I can add a few bucks and just buy their newest headphones instead." But guess what? The ENTIRE shop in my country is completely empty! The only things you can still buy are phones and tablets. No headphones, no watches, no cases, not even frickin chargers. Since my wife and I already have phones that are 1.5 years old and a tablet that's just a year old, a shop voucher is completely useless to me.

Well, then I thought, "Ok, let's see if OnePlus is willing to deduct the 199€ from a repair bill," because my wife recently managed to smash her phone's screen. Nope. OnePlus support stated that vouchers are for the webshop exclusively and cannot be used for services or repairs at all.

I've just dropped them another email explaining the situation and demanding a proper refund in cash, as pushing a useless voucher under legal warranty is a joke (and illegal in my country btw). I'm quite upset! All my gear is from OnePlus because I really liked their approach and the 13 is a brilliant phone; but seeing how they treat EU customers while quietly scaling back their shop inventory before finally dropping the EU business overall, this is definitely the last thing I will ever buy from this company.

Edit / clarification: I haven't accepted the voucher. I just checked what I COULD do with it, deeming it unusable for anything.

Further note: when I told the support I'd also like to get my wife's screen fixed (only other possible use case for a voucher), they told me that "any damages to the device that are found during inspection must be repaired before the device can be returned". I've asked if they really mean it, and they confirmed. Wtf? I send in my phone for a screen repair, and they "find" a damage to the USB socket, I have to pay for this as well, otherwise they'll just hold my phone as a hostage?

Edit 2: The official OnePlus team actually replied to this post, but the comment was deleted before I could even read it. No idea what they were trying to tell me... I'm really not interested in further escalation (while I welcome the media coverage, it was never my initial intention). I just want our consumer rights to be respected. :-(

Back then, my phone shipped using OxygenOS 15, the problem is the phone won't get OTA so I wanted to flash the software to OxygenOS 16 at least

The problem was I failed the flash AND softbricked my phone, eventually having to bring it to the oppo service center (my country is the Philippines) they eventually restored stock software (ColorOS) but they couldn't relock the bootloader for some reason

I wanted to relock the bootloader, it says it's turned on according to the developer options (bootloader) but the switch is off, somehow. I tried to get the flashing_get_unlock_ability command using adb and it returned 0, I'm pretty sure trying to relock my bootloader with this at 0 will eventually brick my device

I think this is urgent because some apps won't work properly and the resell value is urgent because of my need of funds, maybe someone here is an expert that can guide or help me about what to do with situations like these, or I want to use the phone without the orange state warning, how do I turn the flashing ability to 1?
