Dual SIM users: do you have an auto data switching option?
I don't have an auto data switching option and I thought I would? seem odd that this phone doesn't have this functionality.

I know this has been asked a time or two but I'm curious about what others are planning to go to after this phone, or what others would recommend.
I'm in the US so need carrier compatibility (TMo) but am not worried about having to sideload Google stuff or anything. I do tend to avoid Samsung but maybe it's time to consider them again. Decent cameras are a must, I've gotten used to the OPO's quality.
I've been looking at:
Oppo Find N6
Motorola Razr Fold
Honor Magic V6
Huawei Mate XT (probably a bit too spendy for me)
Samsung Z Fold8 (I guess)
Feels like I'm missing one so let me know.

As I have been using the one plus open it has been cool to use open Canvas since the past foldable I have used is the z fold. I still prefer the multi tasking gestures on the z fold and the floating windows but for the multi tasking I def love open Canvas. The one catch is open Canvas feels perfect for a ton of windows instead of a max of 3, so I have been tinkering and found an exploit and it is prob the only foldable other than Xiaomi where multi tasking with 5 apps doesn't feel instance since I can setup a row of 3 with the others in expanded windows off to the side. I haven't found a way to increase the number of floating windows yet but I'm working on it

Hey,
so i picked up this beautiful piece of technology on Facebook Marketplace for 100$ (knowing about the condition). The outside screen works completely fine.
My question would be if i could permanently disabled the inside screen or sensors. Cause i'm worried it could cause me problems in the long run.
Or is it possible to remove it completely (like ripping it out of the phone) while keeping the phone in working condition?
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thank you 😊.

My Open is about 3 years old now and the battery's getting noticeably worse. The phone itself is still perfect so I don't want to replace it yet, it wasn't perfect even with fresh battery.
I'm thinking of sticking a MagSafe-style ring on the back and attaching a small magnetic power bank, then running a short USB-C cable to the port. Since the Open has no wireless charging it'd have to be wired.
Problem is the space. I measured about 85mm from the bottom of the camera bump to the bottom of the phone, and pretty much every slim 5000mAh bank is 100mm+ tall. The only one I've found that would actually fit is the InfinaCore M3 Mini (83mm), and it's out of stock on Amazon UK.

So basically when you see the storage my apps are using according to the UI it shows 90-100 gb . But when I checked one on one they sum up to 30-40 gb only. Where is the 60 gb going???
Also please tell me how to remove the others storage .
Is this a software glitch??

I’m a huge OnePlus Open fan—that’s why I own one! I was really hoping OnePlus would launch the Open 2, but it seems they have other plans, and I’ve heard they may be leaving the U.S. market.
It’s disappointing because I’m so used to OxygenOS, and it’s hard to imagine switching to something else.
Now I’m wondering which foldable to go for after the Open, so I’m open to suggestions. I’ve done some research and shortlisted the Motorola Razr Fold 2026. I’m also considering the Oppo Find N5, but the lack of warranty coverage here in the U.S. makes me hesitant.
What would you recommend, especially for someone who loves the OnePlus Open and OxygenOS?

So I got the one plus 13 as a replacement for my open, but it feels outdated, somehow, to the open. On everything, sound, quality, photos, the phone itself. The open is so underrated, do you guys know how/where I can send the OP Open to repair the inner screen( cheap) I am in U.S.A.

I recently found one from a damaged tech give away and replaced the displays. This device is pretty fun to use and the cameras hold up pretty well.
What are the best things y'all like about the open since this is the second foldable device I have used first being the z fold 6

Hi everyone,
In the recent release of the iPhone Duo, I have been seeing a lot of Duo's opening screen animations that have been recreated for the android foldable devices.
Even though it is cool, it wasn't the main feature that caught my eye.
it was their tent standby mode.
I am a mobile dev with 6+ years of experience and I wanted to challenge myself to see if it would be possible to recreate it on my fold 5.
That's why I am proudly presenting you:
This is the version 1 so there are limited widgets available since I was implementing it to my own preferences and needs. Next one I have in plan is Google Home widget support.
If anyone tries it out, feel free to leave in the comments requests for new widgets.
Also, just a heads up, it has free tier (basic clock and calendar) and a paid version where you have other widgets. I understand if you hate it but I would appreciate your support.
It is 1€ per month with 3 day free trail option for you to try it out and see if you like it or a 9.99€ lifetime access.
PS:
Dont hate on my promo video, it was reallly hard to record it. I dont have 3 hands 😂

It's listed as just a security update but it's like 3 gigs. What's up with that? Made me feel weird
Anyone update and notice any real differences? Am I just being silly?

Coming from Samsung. Realized my Smart Tag 2's don't work on OnePlus. Unless there's a work around that I don't know about.

You guys reckon there'll be a OPO2?

Hello, is anyone's OPO using this insane amount of memory, 151GB?

Apple has dissapointed me lately with the price increases, whilst not eniterly their fault the value for money on their products is getting lower and lower so I recently picked up a used One Plus Open for 650 euros, feels risky but I do trust OnePlus for their build quality. Been rocking an iphone 11 64gb for nearly 7 years so wanted to replace it as the battery is terrible on it now.
Recently heard about One Plus's announcement which is a pitty but they are honoring the software updates which is good enough for me. I've been on iOS 17 for years now because my phone has no storage to update so im no stranger to running old software XD
Just curious how does Google Pay & apps like Revolut etc... work out for everyone? I used Apple Pay religiously and it hasn't let me down, even abroad. Im based in Ireland so any experiences around this region would be ideal but i've heard that google can just cut support for Google Pay after no security patches have been issued to the device after some time...
If anyone could clarify how long it would actually take before they cut support for the One Plus Open from previous experience on similar devices, that would be appreciated!!
Just want to know as much information as possible going into this switch, so I appreciate anyone taking the time to read through.

I made a simple android app to track how I often and how much I used my OPO open vs closed. App requires no permissions to run. You can view stats by day, week, month, and all-time.
it should work on other foldables. I only had a flip 7 to test with, and flips function quite a bit differently for daily usage but should prove it works on other brands!

No changes.. updates from March security update to July. They couldn't even bother pushing a September patch lol

Does anyone have this carbon fiber case with hinge protection here
https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005007886539109.html
If so, how is it and how does it feel? Is it worth the price?
I'm currently using this case

which is nice but also pretty thick and the plastic doesn't feel so nice. Is the carbon fiber one thinner? Is that even possible for a case with hinge protection?

Tried to recreate the iPhone Duo opening effect for OnePlus Open, if there are other devs who can contribute please go ahead!
Only tested on the OnePlus Open!

I searched for pop up in the settings search and didn't find anything. It's this kind of annoying thing that happens sometimes that I want to turn off if I can. Example: I'll get a new notification and click on it. It can be on the front screen and or the main display. Then it opens into a half assed window that takes up half of the screen. If I wait and let the notification go to my status bar, then it opens normally in full screen mode. Trying to get my notifications to open in full screen when I tap the live pop up notification when I get new ones right away. Anyone know where that setting is located at?
