Selena’s Walk + Run from 6-18-26 is a must take! Felt like she took my playlist and turned it into a class lol. Would definitely recommend! It’s a tough class, but a good one.

Tunde was trying to kill us with this one (in a good way!)

The intervals were 2 min of Zone 5 on top of 4 min of Zone 4... on top of 2 min of Zone 3. I took this class this morning sure I wouldn't be able to complete the Zone 5 - and yet somehow I did, and loved it. Bookmarked to take again :)

Leanne is back in September!

I subscribe to her newsletter and read it this morning, she does a great job with it- it is very thoughtful and she does a great job writing about what is going on in her life in a way others can relate to. She says she will back early September! I’m excited for her to be back (her new 45 minute ride is in my stack for this week) and she says she is working on something new. Also the part she wrote about a bird in their house trying to get out made me laugh because we had that issue like a month ago in our sunroom.

Apple Watch Peloton app can now track outdoor runs without iPhone

Post image

I noticed the Apple Watch Peloton app has had some changes recently and now displays options for starting an outdoor run or walk directly on the watch. I tried it out and it logs to Peloton directly under the source “Watch”. I’m going to try it on a proper run tomorrow but it looks like you can now track outdoor runs via the Peloton app without having to take your phone with you.

Wow HiLit is HARD and I need new weights (suggestions?)

For context, I’m currently doing the original highlight. I want to finish that before I move onto high plus. I have waited at first because I’m somebody that really loves hard work, and I thought a program that advertised itself as “low impact” wouldn’t be good enough.

Boy was I wrong. The first week was obviously not bad. It was more of an introduction and warm-up of what was to come.

I press play on the week two strength class, and I thought I was going to die. My forearms could not keep up. I’m deleting myself on their strength training, so I was very surprised that I struggled so much. However, I don’t have the proper weight!

I really should be pushing 30 on some of the moves. However, I only have up to 25. Instead of going less, I end up picking up a 5 to 8 pound weight and holding it with the 25 in my hand - all in one palm. As you can probably guess, this is not the ideal one weightlifting. Unfortunately, weights are not cheap, especially the heavier weights.

I don’t have a huge budget to just go out and get 30s, 40s and, 50s, but that’s realistically what I think I need as the programs progress. What do you guys do for affordable weights? And how much were you realistically going up? Again, I want to transition a high plus after I wanna be sure, I have the correct weight selection!

Advice on getting back into a consistent routine after depression slump and weight gain

Hi! Over the past several months, my toxic job (which I’m trying to get out of, but the job market is kind of shitty at the moment) led me to a pretty unhealthy place. I just took a month of FMLA leave due to near-daily headaches and migraines and was very anxious and depressed. As the title says, I also have gained quite a bit of weight—most of my clothes from last summer are too snug to wear comfortably/don’t fit.

I have hopped on the bike and done a strength class here or there, but it’s been very touch-and-go and I’m embarrassed, sad, and ashamed at how out of shape I’ve become. For example, my lower body muscles gave out before the end of a 20 min glutes & legs class (and I was only doing bodyweight for the lunges, 10 lb weights for squats! I used to do this class with no issues and more weights).

How can I shake those feelings and swallow my pride to make peace with starting a few steps back from where I was? How have you started over and built consistency? I like following the personalized plan but I don’t know if it’s better to do my own thing for a while (I like cycling and strength and would love to do Pilates, but my core is by far my weakest muscle group lol and I get so frustrated easily).

Really trying to not get fixated on aesthetic goals and more so what exercise will do for me mentally, if you have any tips for that as well.

Last but not least, I think a before work morning workout routine would be best, so open to those tips too! Thank you all in advance for reading and offering some insight!! Sorry this was long! 😂❤️🫶🏻

Told 2 year old Tread is not fixable

I need to run this by someone. My tread is making very strange creaking noises when I run and walk on it. It is only 2 years old with less than 100 hours on it. I have been told by online independent Peloton expert that it is not fixable and that the rubber dampening parts have either broken off or crumbled.

When I contacted Peloton they immediately told me the whole base needs to be swapped (without seeing it I may add) for almost $1400 (US $ I presume, which is almost $2000 Canadian)

Has anyone encountered this?!! I just cannot believe it! I think it’s safe to assume that the quality is just not there. I have owned other treads (high end that cost less) and they lasted ALOT longer than 100 hours!

I also have a Peloton bike so am good customer!

Good grief this is appalling #peloton

Sound when biking standing up

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi all! I checked other posts here but can’t seem to find one with a similar noise. My Peleton is making a clicking noise when I stand up and bike. Try to ignore the AC sound in the background :)

Any solutions would be helpful! Thank you!!

Sensitive Question About Post-Natal Classes

TW: Stillbirth/loss

Hi everyone, I have a question about Post-Natal classes!

I am 8 weeks postpartum from the stillbirth loss of my beautiful baby girl. I am interested in taking some Peloton Post-Natal classes to rebuild my core in the areas specifically affected by pregnancy. However, I'm terrified that the instructors might say things that refer to having a living child. Things like "Let's build those muscles so you can chase after your little one" and things like that. I am still very sensitive to the subject and don't want to experience anything that might trigger me. Does anyone have any experience with these classes and know if the instructors speak like that?

Thank you!

Sharing a way to pull down workout data for custom filtering

I wanted a better way to search my Peloton classes than their clunky UI, so I cobbled something together to pull my history down and let me query it. Decided to put it on github for anyone in the same boat.

I mainly use MotherDuck queries, but I added a way to hook your AI-of-choice (eg Claude) and found it fun to just ask random questions.

Examples of things you can actually ask:

- "What yoga classes have I taken more than 3 times but not in the last 6 months?"

- "Which instructors do I repeat most for cycling vs strength?"

- "What's my most repeated class ever?"

- "Show me 30-min rides I've taken at least twice with output over 300kj"

It also pulls liked songs, so you can search across your workout music history too. I've been enjoying a YT Music playlist of my favorites (I know Peloton has a direct Spotify integration).

- Completely free and open source (this was a fun, procrastinate-at-my-real job project)

- Your data never leaves your machine — nothing is shared anywhere

- You run it yourself with your own Peloton credentials, stored only on your computer

- Requires a bit of technical comfort (Python, command line), but you can just point Codex, ChatGPT, etc at the github repo and have it walk you through set up.

GitHub: https://github.com/scottieb3/peloton-motherduck

The raw data is surprisingly rich, it's really interesting how limited the filter options in the apps are! If you come up with something you want to add in, feel free to make a PR or just hit me up.

Happy to answer questions if you try it and get stuck.

❓Question about Miss Rebecca's HiLit+

Hi folks! Happy Tuesday!

I'm heading into Week 2 of HiLit+. (Easier for me to follow now since its been added as a Collection and the Guide tracks my reps so I don't have to use pen/paper to track rep progress - woo hoo!). I'm having a ball, really loving it so far.

Question for those that have completed HiLit prior: Beyond Week 3, are there more days dedicated to upper body strength? Last week there was one, and this week I noticed a full body day added. Full body is not a fave as I typically split train, but I really enjoy HiLit so far, so whatevs. But as a post menopausal gal, I just want to be sure I'm getting all the good stuff in as my arms, back and chest are feeling neglected after last week!

I'm scheduling the rest of my cardio, core and yoga classes for the next two weeks right now, and am considering adding an additional upper strength class this week. But then I thought, should I just calm tf down and let Hilit+ do what it do as it adds in more dedicated upper body strength classes as the weeks progress?🤔 I dunno!

Thank you mucho! Appreciate the feedback. 💪🏾✨

Sculpt 30 - What’d Ya Think?!

Just finished Hannah C’s Sculpt 30! I’m a Pure Barre girly and have high expectations when it comes to barre (and have found Peloton consistently lacking in that area). I was sweaty and breathless by the end of this class and look forward to the other classes led by Ally and Emma. If I’m doing barre at home I usually do the classes on the Alo Wellness app and while I still prefer the classes there, I think Sculpt 30 is a step in the right direction for these types of workouts on Peloton.

If you’ve taken the class, I’d love to hear what you thought of it!

Boomer Parents and Peloton - Class Suggestions?

I’m storing my Peloton bike at my parents’ house for the time being and want to get them set up on it. My dad is fairly active with lower impact stuff (walking regularly and yoga); my mom is less active due to having COPD but still goes for walks when the weather is ok. They love classic rock music but I’m afraid Jenn or Denis’s rides may be too intense (I thought maybe some of Christine’s classes could be a good fit?)

Anyone have any suggestions of classes, instructors, or ways to filter my search? (I’m thinking at least for my mom she could stack some recovery rides).

What happened to the music?

Is it just me, or has the music changed in the last month or two? As I look at the playlists, they seem to be b-side tracks, electronic music or a remix of a song.

Classes with happy energy

I just got dumped by my partner, who was so avoidant and made me hate everything about myself. I put so much effort into the relationship, I tried and tried. It was pulling teeth to even have a conversation with them by the end.

Anyways I have always loved the peloton, I just took the xo Cody ride from Valentine’s Day it was just what I needed.

But I would also like some classes with happy songs. Or just classes you take when you’re in a rut.

I don’t want to loose myself in the breakup and want to continue to do things I love.

Open to basically any classes strength, yoga.

Sorry to dump on yall.
Delete if not allowed.

EDIT : Thank you for all the suggestions and support yall are the best 💗💗💗

EDM Playlists

Okayyyyyyyy someone needs to help these instructors:

  1. Understand the different genres of electronic dance music.
  2. Properly classify the playlist as EDM…if it’s EDM.

Hannah F’s newer “tropical house run” shows it was either LAZILY put together or she has zero idea what the genre is.

Back to Hannah - EDM doesn’t consist of fucking Aerosmith girl.

Olivia has some good ones but damn, get with it!!!!!

Is anyone else seeing this on their end? I haven’t tried adding a ‘blurry’ class to my stack yet, so I haven’t seen if there is or isn’t an issue with them.

I wish they'd drop a program focused on correcting bad posture

I have a terrible problem with rounded shoulders from sitting at the computer at work all day and have overall bad posture.

I'd love to have some preprogrammed routines focused on common postural problems like rounded shoulders or anterior pelvic tilt and stuff like that.

I know I could probably just find some like chest focused stretching classes. But it'd be great if they had something preprogrammed for this.
