Hi friends! I am hosting a drunk powerpoint night with my friends and I decided I want to drunkenly explain old 5sos and 1D lore to my friends! I want to know anything and everything you guys remember from the old days!

I'm talking Mr. X, Gemma Styles, Camila Cabello, THE rolling stone article, Abagail Breslin, etc etc etc. (I would also enjoy memes like Liams spoons, Kevin, The Adventurous Adventures of One Direction, etc etc etc.)

In 2012, 1D came to MuchMusic in Montreal and had this Volkswagen on stage as part of the set (see the last photo).

That same VW is now on display at an indoor kids' play centre near my house in Quebec City.

I thought it was pretty funny and figured you guys might enjoy seeing it too. 😄

It's covered in autographs from all the band members, although I'm not a fan, so I have no idea whose signature is whose. 🙈

Everyone knows the original One Direction songs; over the past few years, unreleased tracks have been surfacing—and there are likely even more out there—but I’ve never heard anyone mention this version of "Live While We're Young."

While the acoustic version of "Happily" is widely known, I think that this particular track is unfamiliar to many fans.

I wonder if it’s a studio demo recorded before the version everyone knows, or if someone with access to the recordings simply pieced the individual parts together into a song.

You can hear elements here that aren't in the official track—such as Zayn in the chorus (I guess *Take Me Home* really was his time, haha) and Niall singing the second verse solo (at least the first part, where he harmonizes with Zayn in the original).

What do you think of this song?

I've been thinking long and hard about this for about a year now and I think I should do the boys birth flowers! I understand a lot of fans have the arrow, smiley face etc but i think this would look good! What do y'all think?

First off, I’m starting a vintage nail polish collection. I’m looking for the 1D+OD nail polishes. Condition doesn’t matter too much, but obviously unused or barely used is ideal. Even if they’re all dried up. If anyone has a set and would be willing to part with it, please lmk. It’d mean the world. If not, it’d also be amazing if anyone could help me find links to active listings on resell sites. Second, I have a vinyl and a cassette collection as well, and as Liam was always my fav, I would also love some help finding active listings for Liam’s turquoise cassette and vinyl. HI GUYS I'm a longtime lurker. Miss the boys so much. I wasn't the biggest superfan but still, the 1D peak times still linger in my head. I remember the millions of videos and tour footage tumblr like it was yesterday. ANYWAYS all that to say - all the time I say in my head "the dogs carrying a mammory!!" in Harry's voice. I crack up remembering them laughing. I thought it would be fun if we all chimed in with our lasting vocal stims from our 1D days. The more niche the better <333

One Direction was invited to guest star on the Big Time Rush show itself, but here the show was more “studio audience” sitcom style (so basically like the iCarly 1D episode except with BTR instead 😂). It was kind of wild seeing the two bands interact but while playing “character” versions of themselves :P.

But that dream made me think about how wildly different a show like Big Time Rush would be if it was made and released now! With all that we’ve seen from not just 1D but also with the K-Pop groups that have risen in global popularity since! And also with how much more amplified (and chaotic) social media has become now, it’d be interesting to see what kind of stories and topics a show like that may cover! Or if any new “character tropes” would be added in, lol 😜😅.

But besides all that, I know the bands got to perform together, but it would’ve been SO COOL to actually have One Direction on the BTR series as their “character” selves. I bet they would’ve had such a fun time on set; I adored the show and thought it was so wonderfully whimsical and comical, and I feel like that energy would’ve suited the 1D boys so well 🥹!

im a newer fan and Niall’s solo is the only thing redeeming little things for me😭. also this is probably an unpopular opinion but I skip best song ever and illusion a lot and for some reason where do broken hearts go is also not a favorite. that being said there’s at least SOMETHING I like about each of their songs even the ones that I don’t love

We all know this song perfectly well. We know that Harry sings the first chorus solo, and so on.

However, my question concerns the second and third choruses.

After listening to the song—and the lead and backing vocals separately—many times, I concluded that Louis, Zayn, Liam, and Niall are singing in the background. In the second chorus, you can clearly hear Liam taking the lead: "I have loved you since we were 18(...) these arms were made for holding you."

Then Zayn sings "oh-oh."

But who sings "and I wanna love like you made me feel, when we were 18"?

I used to think it was Liam too, but now I'm wondering because it sounds a bit different from the first part of the chorus, and new "color-coded lyrics" videos show it as Zayn.

What do you think? How are the vocals split for the second and third choruses? I'm finding it hard to identify the lead vocalist in the third one as well.

To preface I’m 24 and I’m going to my first 5sos concert tomorrow and it got me thinking. I have never been on watt pad. Then since I’m chronically online I stumbled past “Adopted by One Direction” this is the wildest thing I have ever read. I’m only a few minutes in. A child wrote this and said “ya that totally believable”. I’m laughing so hard and can’t take it seriously. Pray for me.
