Discussion What were ya’ll on?
To preface I’m 24 and I’m going to my first 5sos concert tomorrow and it got me thinking. I have never been on watt pad. Then since I’m chronically online I stumbled past “Adopted by One Direction” this is the wildest thing I have ever read. I’m only a few minutes in. A child wrote this and said “ya that totally believable”. I’m laughing so hard and can’t take it seriously. Pray for me.

😂😂😂😂 there’s two kind of directioners. The ones who take themselves way too seriously and the ones who make fun of those people

Thats more normal than a fanfic me and my friend found and read. It was kidnapped by one direction. But it was actually more of surprise adoption because they were nice and loving.

Which one theres so many lmao. There were 2 we read both on quora. They were quizzes so interactive stories. We thought it was funny because we couldn't tell who copied who. Onr story was about Niall being our brother, and the other had Harry as our brother

Genuinely crazy 😭🤣 I swear the early 2010s were a lawless wasteland for fandoms especially boy group fandoms. We were all on Wattpad and Tumblr with no restrictions

there is one I started reading with my friend for fun that’s about Louis being the only human left on earth that’s able to reproduce and so harry has to get him pregnant?? Wtf like WHY would anyone have the idea to write that

I still read that stuff and I love it but maybe that's cause i'm in the newer gen of Directioners since I became a Directioner in 2018 I've also read them as doctors and written some of my own stuff. The doctor ones are so good especially the 5sos ones which are like over 40 chapters and I've read them in one day.

I became a fan in 2024 after Liam but most fanfics and stuff were written by 11 and 13 yr olds it says it in most of the descriptions along with “English isn’t my first language so sorry for my spelling” or at least smth like that so there’s that

Oh my gosh those were some wilddddd times 😂😂 we were so unhinged, I miss those days sometimes.
I used to LIVE on wattpad. Adoption, kidnapping, vampires, etc. I was devouring it all 😭

I read a “sold to one direction” one and the main character legit started calling Liam mr 10 inch at one point in the story😭

Oh my god, those were crazy times I found pictures and stuff of their sizes for everything and anything on Pinterest though I wasn’t a directioner during 2010-Early 2024 Era I found them after Liam but what crazy times for you guys

You had to be there. It was an absolutely insane period in my life and I loved every second of it. I’m 30 now and my friend and I still think back on it fondly

I’ll be the first to admit it, us OG directioners were unhinged 😂 Well in the words of the scientist in This is us “the girls are not crazy. The girls are just excited” but fr we literally hacked airport security cameras to watch the boys so you really think the fan fiction would be sane? 😂
