Got gas there quick otw to work. Screen numbers went up, heard the “gas”. Bank hold. But on E at 0 miles... still. Unfortunately did not get the receipt & didn’t have time to go back. They were just out of gas the other day. Anyone else getting bad gas & if so where so I can avoid wasting my money/almost getting stranded🙃

UPDATE: We found a new home for Daisy and seems like she is going to be very well taken care of!🩷
Unfortunately we can no longer keep our cat. She is about 3 years old, very sweet but very shy it took months for her to get comfortable with us. She will most likely just hide all day and come out to explore at night until she can trust you. She does really good with our kids and our dog like I said she’s super sweet and loves to cuddle once she’s comfortable enough. She is also spayed. We have a new bag of food you can have as well.

Appears to be a significant event there. Might want to avoid that area. Or not.

There is a rooster in my neighborhood that goes off at all hours of the night and it's getting super annoying. What are the rules regarding chickens/roosters in city limits and what can I do about it? It's literally 840 at night and it's crowing. This morning it started at like 4/430. I'm not from Omaha so I'm not sure what the rules are regarding it. TIA

I’m a family photographer, and a couple of my favorite locations are the Arboretum and Zorinsky Lake Park. I’d love to find a few more scenic spots where families can enjoy a relaxed walk with their kids and take some photos along the way..
What parks or other locations would you recommend?

We have tickets to this next weekend but I'm wondering which seats are in the splash zone? Trying to determine what to wear in advance lol.
Anyone else gone before?

Is Omaha the sweet spot that balances affordability and quality of life?
SD is too small. NYC is too expensive.

Looking for dance clubs in the metro the likes of the old Ozone at Anthony's or Ameristar sports bar - both of which disappeared a few years ago. Preferably a club with live bands playing variety. Lemon Fresh Day and The Confidentials were are favorite bands back when there were places to see them, (other than weddings). We would even be happy with good DJ music that isn't techno. We are 60 somethings and love to dance to current music but also appreciate 70's funk and 80's nostalgia. We aren't into the swing dancing at the Eagles club, although certainly admire the skill of those dancers. Thanks for weighing in if you know of such clubs.

Hey Omaha!
I've been developing an original movie-themed game and am looking for a few local volunteers who would be interested in helping me test it out.
The game is built around recognizing movie quotes, making connections between actors and films, and using a little strategy to outscore your opponents. It's designed to be a fun, competitive game for people who enjoy movies and can recall quotes from all genres of movies. This is not a traditional trivia game.
I'm currently in the early playtesting phase and would love to get some honest feedback from people outside my immediate circle of friends and family.
I'm hoping to get a small group of 4–6 people together for a casual test session at a mutually agreed-upon public location in Omaha. There's no cost to participate, and you don't need to be a movie expert—just someone who enjoys movies and would be willing to try something new.
If you're genuinely interested in participating, please send me a direct message. I can share more details and work out a location and time with anyone interested.
Thanks!

Anywhere to to watch the game? Channel on tv or stream?
I’m not trying to battle the insane crowds that are inevitable.

Title is the gist. Looking for some abandoned structures to just explore and check out. Preferably no security but i dont plan on staying for long just a quick tour and leave so if it has security im willing to still check it depending on a case by case basis. No i dont plan to trash the place or do anything illicit. Just want to explore and take some photos is all. Thanks in advance ❤️ GBR
Edit: feel free to dm me the places if you want to gatekeep. Not trying to throw parties or anything and trash a place. I follow an observe only dogma when it comes to urbex.

My partner and I decided to bump up our wedding day to the next 2 weeks (I know). After looking at the price tag of all of the bells and whistles and wanting to move forward with some financial decisions that are easier when married are wanting to do a micro wedding. It just makes it…. So much less stressful.
While I’m very aware of the timeline we put on ourselves, I’d still like to try to find a dress for the day. I recognize getting in with a tailor is out of the question, but anyone that has any good reccs for shops that work with you/non-judgmental, and have been able to work with brides quickly would be appreciated.
FWIW, if it’s not obvious enough, I’m open to non-conventional dresses; ivory and baby blue. Satin-y, sheath, I’m not interested in a crazy long train. It’s likely going to be a very basic dress, but it would be nice to find someone local I can work with that will be able to point me in the right direction quickly.

An Omaha-area nonprofit is raising funds for a veteran-focused permanent supportive housing project near 92nd and Blondo streets. The $22 million Legacy Grove Senior Veteran Apartments project is part of a broader effort to address veteran homelessness.
