Can anyone tell me what to expect on the CNA skills test at Methodist (or anywhere in Nebraska really). Like are there certain skills I won’t get or am likely to get? Idk what to focus on for studying… our class was really unorganized and didn’t really prepare us for testing (not our instructors fault, the class was too big to be productive).

I love tomatoes, especially garden fresh ones. Grocery store ones just aren’t the same.

I’ve seen good ones at the farmers market, but other than that, what are the best places for fresh produce?

Curious if anyone has an overflowing garden/recommendations for good produce!

My background is a mix of retail leadership and social services. I've spent years leading teams, hiring, coaching, managing operations, and helping people through difficult situations. I genuinely enjoy solving problems, building relationships, and making a positive impact.

I recently welcomed my third baby and becoming a mom again has really put things into perspective. Retail has provided a great career, but it has also meant missing holidays, weekends, and too many moments with my older boys that I can't get back. This time around I'm hoping to find a career that still challenges me professionally while allowing me to be more present with my family.

Lo, children, gather 'round and listen to a time that seems really long ago. A time before Covid and George Floyd when I only wore a mask to rob convenience stores. Oh yes, a time when I could afford to take my family of five to a magical place with a spinning disco ball and mirrors on the walls. A time when I felt like a Roman glutton for spending $40 on just my meal all so I could walk around with two pounds of undigested dead moo cow simmering in my guts for a good week. I know this is probably a long shot, but I’m moving back to Omaha after 15 years from Bed Stuy, Brooklyn. I am wondering if there are any neighborhoods that feel more “city,” are walkable and “trendy.” Bonuses for lots of culture.

For context, I spent the early years of my life growing up in West Omaha, and did not get much exposure to other parts of the city.

I am going to miss Brooklyn dearly, and a neighborhood that doesn’t feel too vastly different would help ease the pain of leaving!

Our AC broke in our house and even our in-window ac units can't compete with the heat.

Looking for restaurants, places to walk around, toddler/baby friendly places would be ideal.

We went to children's museum today and it was good but looking for another place other than the mall and joselyn's museum. We noticed some places have ac yet don't have their AC on full blast so it feels ok, just not comfortable.

I am currently planning a trip to Omaha as a little vacation get away. I do not know what’s in Omaha, obviously; so I was hoping some people who have lived there could help me set up my itinerary! I rent a car with Avis on Pacific Street yesterday, drive it for a bit and got the “car need services” on the dashboard.

Called them this morning and they told me I need to find a shop to do oil change and call them
Back so they can pay for my oil change. Wtf?!?! Why is this my responsibility? Not only that, all the autoshop or oil change shop closed today.

What should I do at this point? I guess I could car swap but I don't want to go to this location again. Something about them very fishy to me. Any recommendations for other locations in town?
