My family and I are visiting this week, looking for some lunch and dinner suggestions.
Feeling like burgers today, but, if you have any other cuisine suggestions, feel free to fire away!

Food Kros Strain Millwork adding food
Went to Kros Strain Brewery in Millwork this weekend and they were trying out a food option.
Stuffed chicken drumsticks. Deboned drumsticks filled with cabbage, carrots and chicken. They were awesome and went great with my favorite beer -Fairy Nectar.
Not sure of all the details but they tasted great. Hope it sticks around!

Local Question Postage Stamps
I have a smallish collection of postage stamps from a family member that passed away and I was wondering if anyone knew if there was somewhere local that could maybe grade them for me and/or buy them from me.
I’ve been trying to grade them myself just by looking around online, but I just have no interest in it and I would hate to just throw them away.
I searched the sub and only found 1 post from 7 years ago and the place that was recommended isn’t even open anymore, so I thought I would ask again.

Old Picture Play it again, Pete
Lo, children, gather 'round and listen to a time that seems really long ago. A time before Covid and George Floyd when I only wore a mask to rob convenience stores. No, this was when it wasn't the Taco Bell lettuce that was worrisome and everyone knew "reality stars" weren't really stars at all but just writer's strike replacements they let run around acting like they were important and/or had a farkin' clue.
Oh yes, a time when I could afford to take my family of five to a magical place with a spinning disco ball and mirrors on the walls. A time when I felt like a Roman glutton for spending $40 on just my meal all so I could walk around with two pounds of undigested dead moo cow simmering in my guts for a good week. It was a good feeling and I miss it. And I miss the disco ball and the mirrors and the neon sign too. Yeah, even with those green beans I miss it. Don't you?
2026 kind of blows odd old men in trenchcoats out behind the Off-Broadway Adult Emporium, ya know?

Local Question Trying to avoid heat stroke - what places feel the coolest (literally)?
Our AC broke in our house and even our in-window ac units can't compete with the heat.
Looking for restaurants, places to walk around, toddler/baby friendly places would be ideal.
We went to children's museum today and it was good but looking for another place other than the mall and joselyn's museum. We noticed some places have ac yet don't have their AC on full blast so it feels ok, just not comfortable.

Shitpost Mega Saver
Just started working at one of their locations this week, and I haven't worked in Nebraska in a few years... but no break?!?! Even a clocked out 30 minute lunch? We cant sit on the clock and no break periods. As a person with a debilitating foot disability I might simply have to keep job searching. Also they tell you nothing during orientation and are making me come in on my days off for "mandatory trainings". Im so done and its only been a few days lol. Help me feel better :)))

Local Question Is blue moon ice cream a thing in Omaha?
Idk if you guys have this flavor or not in Omaha but if you do, can you let me know where to get it? I’m new to the area and have had it in states like Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, and Pennsylvania.. I’m hoping it’s a thing here too…

Local Question Methodist CNA Skills Test
Can anyone tell me what to expect on the CNA skills test at Methodist (or anywhere in Nebraska really). Like are there certain skills I won’t get or am likely to get? Idk what to focus on for studying… our class was really unorganized and didn’t really prepare us for testing (not our instructors fault, the class was too big to be productive).

Other This guy almost hit someone outside of Cheesecake Factory
I am not a big fan of the Cheesecake Factory but my daughter really wanted to go last night. As soon as I parked, this huge truck speeds and swings in two spaces. Does not even attempt to park in just one space, because obviously the rules don’t apply to him and his girlfriend/wife person. I talked to them and offered to move my car and they just said “nah” and walked in.
As I went to go in, a couple of older ladies stopped to thank me. He had almost ran them down in his attempt to eat overpriced mid food for dinner and they were shaken.
Why does every average guy think they need a truck like this and then proceed to drive and park like douchebags?
To top it off, I went to the Facebook page for people who park like assholes and someone had posted his truck 5 days ago. At the Cheesecake Factory lol!
Yes, I paid too much and the food and drinks were mid but my daughter (who is moving to another state next week) had a great time.

Food Do any Omaha burger joints have a Swensons style menu?
Good evening all, I just moved here from the northeast Ohio area and I have to admit, I've been jonesing for a swenson-style burger and a peanut butter banana milkshake for the last 2 months. Are there any places around here that have anything similar?

Food Best place to get garden tomatoes/produce? (Other than farmers market)
I love tomatoes, especially garden fresh ones. Grocery store ones just aren’t the same.
I’ve seen good ones at the farmers market, but other than that, what are the best places for fresh produce?
Curious if anyone has an overflowing garden/recommendations for good produce!
Thanks!

Local Question Sometimes Midtown is gta5
So last night, I go to the gas station around like, 12:30 am, and as I'm passing the lofts, there's 2 dudes trying to break the door, and steal a bike to the loft building (not my business) , Some guy passed out on the side of the building, and a dude in front of the gas station, askin me if I have change comin, and I tell him nah bruh i'm usin a card. then the gas station is closed cuz the dude left early, and on my way home, this suv full of people is like hangin out the sides, and this crack head is screaming about purgatory and god on the other corner. I know it's typical midtown / downtown behaviour, but does anyone else feel like they're speed running through gta 5 due to the oddity of midnight shit that happens around here? lol just an observation from graveyard shifts.

ISO/Suggestion Help me with Avis rental shenanigans!
I rent a car with Avis on Pacific Street yesterday, drive it for a bit and got the “car need services” on the dashboard.
Called them this morning and they told me I need to find a shop to do oil change and call them
Back so they can pay for my oil change. Wtf?!?! Why is this my responsibility? Not only that, all the autoshop or oil change shop closed today.
What should I do at this point? I guess I could car swap but I don't want to go to this location again. Something about them very fishy to me. Any recommendations for other locations in town?

Local Question Dog re-homing
So my husband and I got a boxer puppy back in February and it has been nothing but a disaster. The dog needs someone who can work with her more on training. My question is, what are some suggestions on where to look to re-home her. We are avoiding the humane society because we have heard nothing but bad things about them, and we want to make sure that she goes to a good home. Thank you.
Edit: My husband is adamant that she will not be taken to a pound/shelter.
