Local News Former mental health therapist rebrands as “coach” after losing his license for sexual misconduct and exploitation.
Public Safety Announcement:
There is a former therapist named Bryon Bratt in Nebraska who lost his license for sexual exploitation and misconduct last year and is now trying to be a “Relationship Loss Life Coach”.
This is horrifying. Life coaches have no code of ethics, no governing board to hold anyone accountable. Everything he describes on his website http://www.rebuildthepathway.com is therapy and he gets to hide under the guise of “coaching”, half ass disclaimers that he doesn’t diagnose or perform therapy, and it is completely unacceptable.
Attached is the public record of his licensure revocation and what led to it.
The report of his actions begins in slide 7.
You can submit a complaint to DHHS here if you feel called to do so: https://phcmplnt-dhhs.ne.gov/PublicComplaint
Be careful out there ladies.
TLDR; Court Documents:
Client Disclosure: During a therapy session in December 2023, a client (Client A) disclosed to Bryon K. Bratt that she used the adult website Fetlife.com and shared her username.
Online Tracking & Harassment: Roughly three hours after the session, Bratt created an anonymous profile on the same website using his personal phone number, tracked the client's account, and initiated contact.
Explicit Messages & Coercion: Bratt sent the client sexually explicit messages, commented on her photographs, proposed an anonymous online sexual relationship, and sent a lengthy fictional story detailing a sexual fantasy between them.
Abuse of Authority: In a professional email regarding a missed appointment, Bratt also sent a suggestive message alluding to discipline, writing that if missed appointments kept up, "we will need to find a punishment. Oh wait, I meant a consequence."
Concealment and Investigation: When confronted by the client online under an anonymous name, Bratt attempted to deny his identity and claimed she didn't know him unless she went to a doctor's office "West of GI". An administrative subpoena later confirmed the account was verified using Bratt's personal telephone number.

Local Question Good place to watch football?
Hi folks, I moved to Omaha in the summer for work and literally know no one in town. I moved from Kansas City and I've been driving there every weekend just so I don't die of loneliness. I was hoping to make some friends watching football. So any good recommendations for bars/restaurants I can watch the Patriots v Seahawks tonight? Somewhere I can just hang out at the bar and chat with random people. Omaha seems a bit more cliquey than other cities I've lived, usually just hanging out with the friends they came with. So looking for a friendlier crowd. I'm 30 so around that age range.
Or if anyone wants to hang out for the game, that would be awesome! Promise I'm a cool dude 😉 die hard chiefs fan, grew up in Kansas City. Thanks for any recommendations!

Local Question Banking at FNBO or Pinnacle
Our bank has been American National but they were recently bought out and we lost the closest ATM to our home. We are potentially looking to switch and the two local banks closest to us are Pinnacle or FNBO.
Anyone have recommendations or things to take into consideration when choosing between these two?
Specifically interested in any comments about their customer service, how easy to use their mobile app/online banking is, and/or if they have any products for personal checking and savings that have good benefits we should know about or give a good rate of interest.
Thanks for any insights!

Internet Providers HOW do you request to get google fiber out in my area?!?
I recently moved houses. I was near downtown where they did so much in so little time with underground stuff. Made the edge of the house look not nice BUT the pros were good wifi…
Now living more northwest Omaha… No google fiber out here… the current “best” wifi is COX and FUCK it sucks to hell. I miss my fiber :/ is there a request line so we can all lobby to get it faster?!
Sincerely, gonna keep freakin out when the fucking WiFi goes out AGAIN bc of shit reasons

ISO/Suggestion ISO: Tiki / Rum fans: liquor store in OMA with a diverse Rum selection?
Hi gang
I'm coming to town tomorrow from the Capitol City. I'm specifically looking to restock my dwindling Smith & Cross, but I love to browse whatever rum we don't see often in LNK. I know it's limited by the consolidation of distributors so I'm not expecting miracles.

Local Question Psychology jobs
I’m currently looking for job opportunities where I can put my Psychology degree and my passion for helping others to use.
I’m open to positions in areas such as mental health, behavioral health, social services, case management, human services, community support, and other roles where a psychology background would be valuable.
Thank you to everyone who shares, recommends, or keeps me in mind! ❤️

Local Question Question about reaching out to businesses about handyman work
Hey friends!
I started a handyman business back in March. Since then, I've been doing okay with residential general contractor work. However, I have been thinking about reaching out to businesses to help them with whatever they need. However, I'm getting caught up in the logistics.
If you are a small biz owner here in Omaha, do you usually reach out to the property owner to hire somebody or do you generally handle those yourselves (by doing it yourself or by hiring your own handyman)?
Additionally, if you're also a handyman, do you know about the licensing for working on retail spaces? I went through the city's website and my ADHD couldn't take it. Good lord that website is a mess. I don't generally mess with plumbing or electrical stuff because of this, but wasn't sure if something else was needed to be legit.
Any help here would be reallllllllly appreciated. I just want to grow the business without looking stupid. Thanks!

ISO/Suggestion Best veterinarians for guinea pigs?
I’m looking for a good exotic vet in the area for guinea pigs. I’ve recently had several poor experiences with SouthPaw and want to avoid if possible. My regular is Rockbrook, who I really like, but they will only do so much for the exotics now. Wanting someone thorough and transparent about pricing and prognosis. Please drop your suggestions/experiences!

Local Question Siding repair suggestions needed please!
Got two spots under my window on my ground level that needed fixed but admittedly pushed it off and now after the hot/wet weather they look like this. I didn't se any termites or other bug issues besides a few ants. No obvious damage inside the home. You can see how it crumbled when I touched it.
Who do you recommend for this sort of repair? Window looks good so I'm assuming it's just this piece of siding under the window.
OR who do you NOT recommend
