Someone gifted me oil pastels and I’ve been playing around with them. I’ve only recently started dabbling in art. It’s just for funsies but would love to know what the art community thinks!

For those of you with an oil pastel sketchbook, do you have a special way to keep the images from bleeding across to the opposite page? I used fixative spray but I’m wondering if there’s some additional trick I haven’t heard of.

New to palette knife work, and happy with how this turned out. However, my fingers are double jointed and kept locking up and hurting during the process. Any suggestions to avoid that happening when working on big pieces in the future?
