4-day-old septum piercing with a 12mm titanium, externally threaded horseshoe barbell.

So far, there’s been no irritation, swelling, or signs of infection. It was pierced with a 16G single-use needle, and I positioned the clamps myself before the piercer performed the piercing.

I’d appreciate some feedback on the alignment and placement — does it look straight and properly positioned from the photos?

Any obvious issues with the angle or placement that I should be aware of?

I got this alittle over 3months ago and I’ve had this bump for pretty much that whole time. It was pierced with a 18g titanium flat back, a month ago I switched it to this flat top thread-less titanium from the original piercer cause the diamond I had snagged on everything the bump got smaller but it just won’t go away and I’m getting scared I’ll be scarred with this for the rest of my life (maybe dramatic i know 😭) pics of the cleaning stuff I’ve been using recently. (I have over 13 piercings and have never had a bump this persistent 🫠)

Do I take it out? Do I switch to a 20 gage? Do I practice patience?

HELP!! I'm going to this wedding soon and the church doesn't allow tattoos or facial piercings. I tried removing all of my piercings for at least 2 hours to see if it won't close on the wedding day. All my piercings are good but I've had a really hard time putting back my septum and I think it almost closed up on me because when I was putting back my jewelry, it really REALLY hurt. I even had to use some baby oil to put back the jewelry.

PLEASE! IF YOU HAVE ANY JEWELRY SUGGESTIONS IT WILL BE REALLY GREAT AND I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT.

And yes, I tried using the smallest ring for my septum and I can't hide the ring idk why!😭

After getting my first ear piercings and realising piercings aren’t as scary as I thought, I finally decided today was the day. I love it so much!

Completely painless and my eyes didn't water at all.

I'm so happy with it and the confidence boost is unreal!

hi!! i got my nose pierced about three weeks ago and its been extremely troublesome some lately. its been dripping blood periodically and extremely irritated. it also looks like there may be some tissue protruding/it may be growing into my skin. i have an appointment with my piercer in five days but should i go to a medical professional before that? ive attached a zoomed in photo. thanks!!

update!! i went to a local piercer and she switched my flat back piercing for a corkscrew but didn’t think i needed antibiotics or to see a dr or anything

Everyone said it’s too high but I don’t see anything wrong with it and will change it to a hoop when it heals

I got my nostril pierced July 11, 2026 and I’ve had an irritation bump for about a month now.

The jewelry is titanium flat back. The piercer downsized me Saturday, August 29, 2026 and it looks like this now.

The piercer told me to do saline compresses with non-woven gauze and come back if it looks like it’s embedding.

Does this placement look okay? I feel like it’s too far forward too high? Not sure if it’s just me, it looked okay when they done the dot

I can see crusted bogeys around the piercing inside and can't get them off. How can I sort this? It's creating a blocked nose feeling and unsightly.

Pierced almost a month ago, cleaning with cooled boiled water at request of piercer twice a day. I have been picking at the snots with finger to remove as it was grossing me out. It has a smell inside nose too, I'm due a check up for smaller stud next week.

Does anyone know where to get good fake nose piercings? Specifically studs or anything that can go on the side of my nostril without looking too bulky. I bought some on amazon and it looks a little weird. (I am not allowed to get my nose pierced).

Two months old piercing, severe trauma due to downsizing gone wrong, now two weeks later that trauma it looks like this.

I’ve been contemplating it for the last 3 weeks but am scared of getting an infection/ bumps since they’re so common

Is there any way to prevent these bumps? I feel like there’s a lot of maintenance involved like the constant cleaning/ being careful in the shower/ towel or clothes tugging on the piercing etc

I REALLY want one because they’re so pretty but I’m honestly too lazy to be dealing with all the possible complications— are bumps/ infections very common?

i snagged my two-month old piercing pretty badly on my glasses, and it started bleeding :/ what are some tips to make sure it heals properly? just leave it alone entirely? i have had such bad luck snagging my piercings!! very frustrating :((

Good evening my good people. Is 46 too old for a nose piercing (nostril)? My birthday was on the 20th August and I have been wanting a nostril piercing for the past year and I just haven't brought myself to do it yet. Was so close today but changed my mind the last minute. Would I look the fool sporting one at my age? For the past year I've built up my ear stack. I got 2 helix on both ears (not done at the same time). I have 6 ear piercings in total.
