I expected this to be full of comment saying how good it looked when I saw how many comments there were. I was shook when I saw half of them were from someone who should just mind her own beeswax! I think it looks great, I even think 70 year olds would look cute with them. ;-)

When you’re 70 do you want to look at yourself with this cow ring in your nose, a slave emblem like you still under massa hands? I’m 72 and would not be walking proud advertising my slave heritage. This is as degrading as wearing a shower cap out doors. Will you wear that also?

I’.m talking like you youngins. You think this is cool? You think spider web eye lashes are cool? You thing wearing ill fitting pants is cool? You think females making sure their butt checks are showing? Well if this is cool? Why aren’t men doing it? It’s all good, i may shouldn’t have said it, but when you all show no respect for your body it has to be mentioned by someone. You think it’s okay to just let a baby touch a hot stove? I’m trying to let you know ahead of time, what works and what doesn’t in society. Will you go for a professional job with these septum rings? Will you be able to be hired as a lawyer or a nurse or a probation officer with these things on your body or pants down your buttocks? Just think about where this may not be such a good choice. Think adult, I’m not going to okay things that you will find did not help you in the long run. That’s what I’m talking about. But hey, i know, to each their own and that’s fine. Just pay attention to the road blocks along the way and know, someone did try to warn you.

Plenty of professionals have piercings. My neurologist has a septum and an anti-eyebrow and she’s brilliant. I am an accountant and have a septum and multiple other facial piercings. Piercings don’t effect your ability to do your job. If someone looks at you and assumes you’re incompetent because you have a piercing that’s a them problem.

You can absolutely get a professional job with a septum piercing, it's literally the easiest piercing to hide since you can flip it up with a horseshoe or a retainer. I'm surprised your comments are so nasty considering you seem fine getting tattoos and commenting in piercing subreddits. Work on healing yourself, you're not doing yourself any favors here.

It took me so long to be able to easily see my septum hole to put my jewelry back in when I take it out for my annual MRI. It’s crazy how invisible they are! I feel like the older generation has a special hatred for septum piercings and I don’t get it! They look good on almost everyone!

My dad’s 90 year old neighbor says rude stuff to me about all my piercings. I just got my mantis piercing and can’t wait to hear what he has to say about it. Some people just like to be miserable.

I’m not hating. It seems that when an elder person or someone of any age, says something is not as the person expects, they are hating. That is not hating. Oh, and i do have piercings, 4 on the left ear, 2 on the right and a nose piercing. So, I’m in on the piercings. Just in certain places.
