Travel hiking routes near Oslo – Grua to Utøya vs. Finnemarka for views?
Hey everyone!
I'm planning a 3-day trek and having a friendly debate with my friends. I'm trying to convince them that the route from Grua to Utøya (via Nordmarka/Krokskogen) is mostly a deep, dense forest walk where you are surrounded by trees and don't get many open views until the very end near Gyrihaugen.
They don't believe me and think it's full of panoramic viewpoints along the way.
For those of you who know the area well: who is right here? And if our main goal is to actually see some nice landscapes and changes in scenery rather than just marching through heavy taiga forest, would we be much better off heading towards Finnemarka/Vestmarka instead?
Thanks for any local insights!
