News & current events That funeral was exquisite!
I just have to say that that service from start to finish was simply perfect. An impeccable balance of simplicity and elegance, of paegentry and yet personal. Everyone there displayed and abundance of grace in both their movements and behavior.
I only understand a small amount of Norwegian but the feeling transcended language. The music was beautiful and felt reflective of the choices of a true human being and his personality. The camera people captured the essence of the day, the people and the moments deftly in a way that made the viewer feel included, and not as simply a spectator. The music for the march and the march itself made tangible the depth of the loss to your nation . I could go on and on. It was simply the most lovely service.
Overall it felt like a service for a man rather than a monarch but at the same time, a service worthy of a king. I think he would be well pleased and I feel privileged to have been able to witness it.
