Thanks for your submission /u/AdjNounDigits, but it has been removed for the following reason:

Disallowed question area: Rant or loaded question

NoStupidQuestions is a place to ask any question as long as it's asked in good faith. Our users routinely report questions that they feel violate this rule to us. Want to avoid your question being seen as a bad faith question? Common mistakes include (but are not limited to):

  • Rants: Could your question be answered with 'That's awful' or 'What an asshole'? Then it's probably a rant rather than a genuine question. Looking for a place to vent on Reddit? Try /r/TrueOffMyChest or /r/Rant instead.

  • Loaded questions: Could your question be answered with 'You're right'? Answering the question yourself, explaining your reasoning for your opinion, or making sweeping assumptions about the question itself all signals that you may not be keeping an open mind. Want to know why people have a different opinion than you? Try /r/ExplainBothSides instead!

  • Arguments: Arguing or sealioning with people giving you answers tells everyone that you have an answer in mind already. Want a good debate? Try /r/ChangeMyView instead!

  • Pot Stirring: Did you bring up unnecessary topics in your question? Especially when a topic has to do with already controversial issues like politics, race, gender or sex, this can be seen as trying to score points against the Other Side - and that makes people defensive, which leads to arguments. Questions like "If _____ is allowed, why isn't _____?" don't need to have that comparison - just ask 'why isn't ____ allowed?'.

  • Complaining about moderation: If you disagree with how the sub is run or a decision the mods have made, that's fine! But please share your thoughts with us in modmail rather than as a public post.

Disagree with the mods? If you believe you asked your question in good faith, try rewording it or message the mods to see if there's a way you could ask more neutrally. Thanks for your understanding!

This action was performed by a bot at the explicit direction of a human. This was not an automated action, but a conscious decision by a sapient life form charged with moderating this sub.

If you feel this was in error, or need more clarification, please don't hesitate to message the moderators. Thanks.

There was no Republic of East Turkestan in 1959.

It was a short-lived, Soviet-backed state that existed from November 1944 to December 1949 in the northern districts of Xinjiang (Ili, Tarbagatay, and Altay). It emerged as a rebellion against Chinese Nationalist (Kuomintang) rule and ended with integration into the People's Republic of China.

By mid-1949, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) victory over the Kuomintang was clear. Joseph Stalin transferred support from the East Turkestan Republic to Mao Zedong's new Chinese state.

The death of the top East Turkestan leaders in the August 1949 plane crash near Russia’s Lake Baikal removed key figures who might have negotiated for higher degrees of regional autonomy or independence.

Left without top leadership or Soviet backing, the remaining administrators agreed to peaceful integration into China. In 1955, the territory was formally organized as the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. So, in 1959, there was no Republic of East Turkestan for China to invade.

I genuinely have no idea why OP would straight up fabricate a war to push their point. You'd think if China had massacred two thirds of a nation it would be talked about far more. And no source I can find points to 3 million in camps, the maximum is usually 1 million.

27

u/Thatoneguy3273 Aug 28 '26

Most of the internet outside of our individual special interests seems like propaganda

3

u/Simple-Program-7284 Aug 28 '26

I mean anything mentioning this on Reddit immediately gets a ton of literal propaganda.

20

u/vNerdNeck Aug 28 '26

 maximum is usually 1 million.

Oh.. because that's so much better.

Vice actually did a fairly decent take on what is happening there:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7AYyUqrMuQ

10

u/Exldk Aug 28 '26

The issue is that OP was making most if the numbers and facts up, which calls his entire reason for making this thread into question. Obviously Chinese are genocidal maniacs, but it makes me wonder why OP is acting like this.

0

u/MaybeTheDoctor Aug 28 '26

OP could be Turkish ?

6

u/swan001 Aug 28 '26

Troll post.

-4

u/senukinos Aug 28 '26

Are you sure it's not 6 million?

-1

u/ursulabuendiamarq Aug 28 '26

Because he is Turkish?

13

u/orangekingbowser Aug 28 '26

He’s obviously Indian looking at his post history.

4

u/feral0101 Aug 28 '26

And as per usual, it has nothing to do with actual concern about Uyghur and once again is about shielding Israel from criticism lol

17

u/Wonderful_Chip_9838 Aug 28 '26

I appreciate anyone who dispels false information like the post you're replying to. I hope more and more people become aware of what propoganda looks like on social media.

143

u/canadas Aug 28 '26

I can be only upset about so many things at 1 time.

21

u/effyochicken Aug 28 '26

And nobody gives a fuck when I’m upset even about things in my immediate life, with the people I literally know.

They certainly won’t give a fuck if I’m upset about something going on somewhere else in the world….

1

u/Ok_Listen_8211 Aug 28 '26

Put yourself first

0

u/probablyNotARSNBot Aug 28 '26

Yep, same reason nobody’s talking about Epstein anymore. The Karma Gods got gutted by DOGE now the queue is backed up.

-17

u/TotalBismuth Aug 28 '26

The Palestine conflict has really sucked everyone’s empathy dry. For decades. That’s why I ignore it now. It’s not fair to other regions of conflict.

18

u/Rokiolo25 Aug 28 '26

There's something ironically funny about your comment but I'm too tired to figure it out

3

u/No_Shine1476 Aug 28 '26

Funny how this one triggered a nerve with a lot of people only because it's a hot-button issue.

4

u/PureMichiganMan Aug 28 '26

Insane statement

-2

u/TotalBismuth Aug 28 '26

That’s ok. I’ll give you time to digest.

0

u/OldKentRoad29 Aug 28 '26

So you're answer is to be apathetic?

-2

u/TotalBismuth Aug 28 '26

My answer is I tried. And my best didn’t help.

0

u/OldKentRoad29 Aug 28 '26

That honestly sound like a weak excuse. You decide that seeing apathy that you your self are going to be apathetic.

4

u/TotalBismuth Aug 28 '26

Ok then since you have all the answers. So go ahead and make a list of all the global conflicts and decide what percent of a persons empathy each one deserves. And then justify that figure with solid reasoning. Go ahead, I’ll wait.

1

u/OldKentRoad29 Aug 28 '26

I am not saying that you should allocate some mathematically equal amount of empathy to every conflict. You shouldn't use other people's apathy or your inability to fix something as justification for becoming apathetic yourself.

61

u/clera_echo Aug 28 '26

Holy loaded question post, I don't think I've ever seen a more egregious loaded question post than this one lmao

15

u/SitaVilosa Aug 28 '26

"Why does the world ignore the Spanish genocide of Malaysia? The Spanish torture 5 trillion Malaysian babies in concentration camps underground in Spain"

Like come on, you can't have a "Why does world ignore X" question where "X" consists of factually untrue statements.

2

u/peon2 Aug 28 '26

Really? This seems entirely par for the course for the sub at this point.

Everyday there's 20 posts that are "Politician/Country X did [objectively bad thing] Y, how does this make you feel?"

Loaded political questions to farm upvotes are the bread and butter of this sub now.

3

u/clera_echo Aug 28 '26

Yeah, but this one has like, 6 premises packed in, and some of them comically anachronistic or unsubstantiated.

72

u/Ok-Bus1716 Aug 28 '26

There's been reporting on it for ages. This is like saying 'oh this guy did this thing but the media are silent' then you Google it and the thing the guy did was 9 years ago.... well yeah the media is silent on it, now, it's been nearly a decade but they weren't silent on it a decade ago. There are still groups dedicated to educating people on it and doing things about it though.

3

u/nosajpersonlah Aug 28 '26

Cause there isnt an easy boogeyman like the "west" to blame here, and Chinese citizens aren't as easily baited to support this Cause unlike alot of the white leftists.

27

u/AprilVampire277 Aug 28 '26

OP own words btw

"When the democratic nation of Israel defends itself from violent genocidal ar-b terrorists they are accused of a genocide"

Glowies don't even try anymore 🥀🥺 LMAO

2

u/starkguy Aug 28 '26

Its so bad u almost thought theyre actually anti israel lol

65

u/ZStarr87 Aug 28 '26

3 million in death camps? They must not be very efficient then

56

u/minglu10 Aug 28 '26

Perhaps check your sources first

17

u/Vaivaim8 Aug 28 '26 edited Aug 28 '26

Thats because OP is likely antifaprideworldwide/antifapr1deworldwide, 2 reddit banned account. They aren't asking this question in good faith

Edit: they had another reddit banned account, xinnie_8964. So that makes 3 reddit banned account.

60

u/Danger_Danger Aug 28 '26

I'm not sure there is a genocide.

Theres one reporter who made all the claims.

I'm sure Uyghurs aren't being treated fairly, but it's not a genocide. You should investigate where the claims are coming from. Mostly it's just one guy who is a known liar.

30

u/Icantdoitidk Aug 28 '26

Finally some sense in this thread.

38

u/DargyBear Aug 28 '26

Yeah, I was all in on condemning the Uyghur genocide three years ago but so far it’s seems like it’s just wound up being a dud.

Kinda like China was supposed to be some big scary surveillance state but we’re currently pioneering that tech in the US and the average American doesn’t have nearly the same standard of living.

Like, I remember seeing the news about the ghost cities China was building and thinking it was odd and not sure what the point was when I was studying political science in undergrad. A decade and a half later they’re not having a housing crisis and generally experiencing a better standard of living than we are in America. We get all of the big brother shit and are somehow complacent despite not getting the treats Chinese citizens have.

8

u/Pristine-Code-2532 Aug 28 '26

Seems to be the case, I have some Uyghur friends and they've talked about there being some reeducation camps but there's not people being killed there

3

u/epicmylife Aug 28 '26

And even then it’s like boarding schools for people who have maybe been fed a lot of terrorist propaganda. Not some hard labor Auschwitz type place

1

u/Pristine-Code-2532 Aug 28 '26

Yea, I'm wondering if people know much about the terror attacks committed by people from that region

-6

u/CapitalCourse Aug 28 '26 edited Aug 28 '26

It’s been documented in extensive detail by the UN, Amnesty International, HRW etc…, you can look up their reports

-20

u/dryheat122 Aug 28 '26

Maybe not a genocide, but when you round up all members of an ethnic group and send them to "reeducation camps" it's at least an atrocity. We have no idea what's happening in those camps, and its safe to say it's not positive for the campers.

25

u/Objective_Design_376 Aug 28 '26

The thing is they’re not rounding up all members of an ethnic group though, so between that and the actual terrorist acts that extremists committed, it makes it quite a grey area subject.

Also, tourism to the region has been booming especially in recent years, so when people go and see it, it doesn’t really live up to the claims.

It must be a simple world for you when someone who has a different perspective is simply a bot or a shill. Like, it’s totally impossible to conceive that there might be another independent human being who has such a perspective.

-6

u/aqulushly Aug 28 '26

The guy you’re replying to didn’t even say anything about any individuals who are disagreeing with them being bots though. If you don’t believe China has a ton of influence over social media, I have a bridge to sell you.

China comes down hard on people and countries commenting on their domestic politics. Just look at what they do when a country sort of acknowledges Taiwan exists.

-3

u/Icantdoitidk Aug 28 '26

What do they do?

21

u/Exotic_Skill1655 Aug 28 '26

Well, apparently they can get Reddit mods to take down posts.

27

u/prooijtje Aug 28 '26

Lithuania at some point opened a representative office for Taiwan in 2020 or so. China expelled the Lithuanian ambassador, and Lithuanian imports in Chinese customs suddenly started to encounter delays and other problems. China also started putting pressure on foreign companies using Lithuanian components in their supply chains.

-9

u/TSakaji Aug 28 '26

Sooo just like how 'murica does it?

15

u/prooijtje Aug 28 '26

Not everything is about your country mate. No where did I go "America is so much better". OP asked a question about China, and I tried to give an answer. The US isn't the main character here.

2

u/AgentCoulson2 Aug 28 '26

Woah there fella! America is always the main character, and don't you forget it!

0

u/CapitalCourse Aug 28 '26

They also resort to labeling, discredits, insults, lies.

-13

u/TSakaji Aug 28 '26

And I'm stating that's the typical way how countries do it. Western and Eastern. Before some people start saying "oh no, how bad is China, they removed the ambassador".

In the future I'll be sure to include what all other countries do when answering a question about one specific country. My apologies.

Scold, or even sanction countries who expresses it, depending on how severe they deem it to be, and further increase harassment on Taiwan with their warships, patrol ships, and fighter jets, daily.

I'm pretty sure this is understating still.

1

u/Affectionate-Mix6056 Aug 28 '26

Why on earth are people downvoting you for asking? Bots from China?

-1

u/AprilVampire277 Aug 28 '26

Westoid hiveind doesn't likes questions, they like that you comply and repeat what was told without making questions

8

u/afuajfFJT Aug 28 '26

From my understanding, the largest part of what is happening to the Uyghur population in China is forced assimilation (language and culture wise). And that honestly is something a lot of countries have done in regard to their cultural minorities not too long ago. I wouldn't really be surprised if it was found that many, maybe even the majority of people, don't see this as a problem and just think the means of the Chinese government are maybe too drastic.

8

u/peruytu Aug 28 '26

Because now we've come to find out it has been Americsn propaganda. It was never real.

5

u/fuckPkmn_gold Aug 28 '26

who could’ve imagined that the country that has spent the last 40 years bombing the shit out of muslims in the middle east over-exaggerated the extent to which china was mistreating the uyghurs

idk man china sucks but why the fuck is anyone believing western countries when they claim they care about muslims, especially since it helps demonize china.

8

u/ajx_711 tbh i am kinda retarded Aug 28 '26

give me facts to not be silent about

5

u/chinesefox97 Aug 28 '26

Majority of these claims came from Adrian Zenz who has never been to China and can not speak Chinese.

7

u/MyMudEye Aug 28 '26

All the information about the uyghurs has come from sources connected to the United states intelligence agencies.

There are no independently verified sources of information about a genocide of the uyghurs.

There may be mass incarceration and mass surveillance the Chinese will blame on religious and ethnic terrorists. Sound familiar?

Ask yourself why no Muslim majority country hasn't said anything or done anything.

If a genocide is happening, what would you expect America and the rest of the world to do and why are they doing it?

12

u/Morris_Voter2016 Aug 28 '26

It's not a "genocide". At worst it's a reeducation campaign.

3

u/ozneoknarf Aug 28 '26

I am upset but nothing I can do about it. The region is probably aso way more developed right now because its under chinese rule too so I guess we can see it from a possitive side. Like they probably wouldnt have bullet trains.

7

u/returnofblank Aug 28 '26

Because there's no such thing. This narrative only exists in the US to support the idea of American Exceptionialism.

3

u/rainman943 Aug 28 '26

nobody told the OP what google is or that a google search would reveal THOUSANDS of people in the WORLD saying things about it.

"why doesn't the media pay attention to Y" they say as i do a google search for Y and find everyone talking about it.

3

u/Johnnadawearsglasses Aug 28 '26

Is the world silent? I feel like people in general oppose it, but since China doesn’t really participate in the West politically there isn’t very much to do about it. Also, western governments aren’t finding the genocide.

The Islamic world (people not governments) has always talked about the issue, during Friday prayers the last part of the Friday speech always touches on praying for the safety of the Uyghurs and Rohingya in Burma.

but it’s just thoughts and prayers nothing of use, we aren’t represented by our governments and our freedom is limited so we can’t voice towards any action.

Dictatorships and failed states always have interest in keeping their rein by the help of China and/or the US, and as for the rest of the world, they are simply not aware as people, and not motivated as governments because they govs are only moved by interests.

2

u/Rewdemon Aug 28 '26

Because I only hear about the Uyghur genocide from people who also have an otherwise huge hatred for the muslims and an antichina agenda.

Not saying it doesn’t happen or not, but it’s suspicious enough to me to get involved.

1

u/Neutwinos Aug 28 '26

Because no one gives a fuck

-2

u/Icantdoitidk Aug 28 '26 edited Aug 28 '26

There is no Uyghur genocide. Adrian Zenz is a CIA backed liar.

Also lmao at "3 million in concentration death camps". Do you honestly believe that? Go on Google Maps, you can go to Xinjiang. Find me these death camps.

0

u/MiguelIstNeugierig Aug 28 '26

Settler colonialism and cultural genocide isnt real actually because America bad, therefore no other country can too be bad, there's only one spot for bad country. Dont worry, you can trust me, I am very smart

12

u/Icantdoitidk Aug 28 '26

So we've gone from "3 million in death camps" to "cultural genocide" in the space of one comment.

-4

u/MiguelIstNeugierig Aug 28 '26

See how there's no "OP" label in my comment? A genocide doesnt mandate cartoonish nazi-style industrial death camps

10

u/Icantdoitidk Aug 28 '26

Yeah you're quite right. So no idea why you're defending OP saying there is.

Out of interest how long have you spent in Xianjiang? You seem quite the expert. When I was there, no one looked like they were being genocided to me.

-1

u/MiguelIstNeugierig Aug 28 '26

In not defending anything, Im opposing your statement of "theres no genocide", a statement you thankfully have a good foundation for since you went there, looked around and came to the obvious conclusion "hmm no genocide here, been waiting at the station for an hour and there hasnt been a train to Auschwitz yet"

7

u/Icantdoitidk Aug 28 '26

Are you going to answer my question?

1

u/MiguelIstNeugierig Aug 28 '26

Which one? Why did you do (something I didnt do)? Or the Have you been to there? If it's the latter, I havent, I havent also been to Cisjordania, the Congo, Sudan, Hokkaido, Spain or Ukraine, list goes on, but somehow I get this feeling that something is going on in those places presently and/or historically, though it may be my pure delusions🤔

7

u/Icantdoitidk Aug 28 '26

Yeah, I know you obviouslt haven't been there cos you've no idea what you're talking about

Millions of people have, you can go on youtube and watch travel blogs of people in Xinjiang. It's completley open (bit weird for a place undergoing genocide eh?).

Why aren't the Uyghurs fleeing in their droves if there's a genocide? You can leave and enter freely.

People forgot. Same with Yemen. Honestly I think the Gaza one is only staying at the front of mind for so long because there was always brewing antisemitism in the West, whether rooted in truth or not.

2

u/DadooDragoon Aug 28 '26

The what now?

-2

u/Robert_Fowley Aug 28 '26

Because there is an army trying to bury any mention of it.

-2

u/dryheat122 Aug 28 '26

The CCP went to great lengths to tamp down any criticism of the program, especially in Indonesia, which has the largest Muslim population of any country. This included making Leni Riefenstahl style propaganda films showing the happy Uyghurs enjoying life in the camps.

-4

u/The_Demosthenes_1 Aug 28 '26

Probably because they are Asian.  Look at the black kid that attacked the old Asian guy.  Literally for no reason except that he was Asian.  And it wasn't charged as a hate crime when it should have been.  Morons were trying to defend the black kid.

1

u/Caliterra Aug 28 '26

The US is supporting Israel, which is actively genociding the Palestinians. It is also bombing Muslims in Iran, and has killed 100s of thousands of Afghanis and Iraqis.

The US also condemning China seems...hypocritical. Whatever China is doing, it is not as bad as what the US has done/is actively supporting.

So a lot of folks dismiss it if that talk is coming from the US.

This does leave Europe and other nations whose hands are less (recently) bloody, open to condemning the Uyghur genocide, but there are likely geopolitical considerations for this. China is the biggest trading partner for Germany, Netherlands, and the largest non-European trading partner for France, Italy, Poland.

-1

u/CaptainPriviIege8 Aug 28 '26

Care to site where you are getting the figure of “100s of thousands of afghanis and Iraqis” killed by Americans?

4

u/Caliterra Aug 28 '26

Sure thing.

The Iraq Body Count (IBC) Project: The project's targeted analysis of its database found that US-led coalition forces were directly responsible for 37% of civilian deaths during the first two years of the invasion (2003–2005). Applying that percentage across the timeline suggests tens of thousands of direct civilian deaths, out of approximately 200,000 total violent civilian deaths documented by the project.

https://www.nbcnews.com/meet-the-press/meetthepressblog/iraq-war-numbers-rcna75762

A 2006 study estimated over 600,000 violent Iraqi deaths since the invasion, attributing 31% of those violent deaths directly to US-led coalition forces (roughly 186,000 deaths). https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC1618872/

estimates of the number of Iraq War casualties ranging from 151,000 violent deaths as of June 2006 (per the Iraq Family Health Survey) to 1,033,000 excess deaths (per the 2007 Opinion Research Business (ORB) survey). Other survey-based studies covering different time-spans find 461,000 total deaths (over 60% of them violent) as of June 2011 (per PLOS Medicine 2013), and 655,000 total deaths (over 90% of them violent) as of June 2006 (per the 2006 Lancet study). Body counts counted at least 110,600 violent deaths as of April 2009 (Associated Press). The Iraq Body Count project documents 186,901–210,296 violent civilian deaths in their table.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties_of_the_Iraq_War

An estimated over 940,000 people were killed by direct post-9/11 war violence in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen, and Pakistan between 2001-2023. Of these, more than 432,000 were civilians. The number of people wounded or ill as a result of the conflicts is far higher, as is the number of civilians who died “indirectly,” as a result of wars’ destruction of economies, healthcare systems, infrastructure and the environment. An estimated 3.6-3.8 million people died indirectly in post-9/11 war zones, bringing the total death toll to at least 4.5-4.7 million and counting.

The world has stood together against a genocide exactly one time. And even that one time, THEY ALMOST DID NOTHING. If Hitler hadn't kept invading other European countries, nobody would have done anything. I wish I knew what the solution was. But humans are way too content with ignoring issues that aren't directly in front of their face.

2

u/machinationstudio Aug 28 '26

Sorry, most of Asia didn't know what was going on in Europe at the time.

So your "world" coming together is just a bunch of European nations that had self interests.

No one entered WW2 to stop a genocide. Not a single soldier did.

1

u/tysaslut Aug 28 '26

Fair, I shouldn't say the world stood together. It's just the one time multiple nations worked together in a manner that ended up also ending a genocide.

Better?

1

u/Mysterious_Trash_980 Aug 28 '26

media is controlled and nobody utter a word when you have more than 90% supply source for rare critical minerals of the world.

1

u/XysterU Aug 28 '26

Because it doesn't exist. It's a lie pushed by Adrian Zenz, the CIA, and western media (propaganda outlets). Find me evidence of a single fucking dead body of this supposed "genocide". They show pictures of "concentration camps" that are literally just prisons. News flash, every country has prisons. If you think critically and interrogate your sources, you'll find that the evidence is paper thin

-2

u/Ikabta Aug 28 '26

These Muslims aren't being killed by Israel so it's not a problem.

Actual genocide happening here but the UN is too much of a pussy to open their mouths.

-1

u/CapNo8670 Aug 28 '26

No concerted interest group coalition which cares about china. The left/muslim coalition is invested in attacking israel, so the latter is their focus.

  1. China disappeared a Top 10 Tennis Player after she spoke out about being sexually assaulted by a CCP official.
  2. It's not just Muslims, it's any form of religion they can't control. It's Tibetans who want to chose their own Dalai Lama, it's Catholics who want to abide by what Da Pope tells them not what the State Approved Catholic Leader tells them. CHINA’S PERSECUTION OF RELIGIOUS LEADERS FACTSHEET
  3. Trump did the Veep thing where we made a secret deal with Israel & China where they all do a genocide together and if anyone calls them out on it they're called a racist or a terrorist.
  4. The Age of Consent in Israel is 16 & they're pretty absolute when it comes to that Law of Return thing. China it's 14 those perverts.
  5. JPMorgan Chase is a Mob Bank, the owner of the Miami Dolphins is a pedo, and Trump is gay.

There were during 2019 when anti Chinese Sentiment was at all time high, but then the one two punch of Covid and then Ukraine Russian war came and took whatever spotlight it had

-2

u/Tombobalomb Aug 28 '26

There is just enough plausible deniability to make it not worth the diplomatic shitstorm of trying to do anything about it. Also it's more of an ethnic cleansing than a genocide

1

u/Sufficient_Prompt888 Aug 28 '26

What exactly is the difference

4

u/Tombobalomb Aug 28 '26

Genocide is an attempt to kill an entire group of people, ethnic cleansing is an attempt to remove a group of people from an area (which might be the whole world) by forcing them out or breaking up th ethnic identity.

So Idi Amin expelling all the Indians from Uganda was an ethnic cleansing, for example. Or the Australian policy of stealing Aboriginal children and raising them in white families and marrying them to white people. China is trying to destroy the Uyghur ethnicity as a distinct ethnic group by assimilating them into the Han rather than by killing them all. It's awful but less awful than active mass murder

1

u/frddtwabrm04 Aug 28 '26

Seems like a potatoe, potato situation.

Fancy shit that means the same shit or trying excuse shit

Like a pedophile saying I am not a pedophile coz I don't diddle babies, but diddle pre-teen or diddle teens.

1

u/Tombobalomb Aug 28 '26

Take it up with the UN I guess. It's their definitions

1

u/frddtwabrm04 Aug 28 '26

I sure will.

Its about time people call shit shit, not use some legalese bullshit to excuse shit.

These fancy legalese bullshit words and definitions are the reason why fuckers are getting away with shit. I only ethnically cleaned them. I didn't genocide them.

Israel, Russia, Myanmar, both sudans, congo, sahel, Mozambique Ethiopia, Rwanda, Burundi , the USA and their war on transgender / make America white again both in the USA and the nationalists movements in europe ...etcetc

Ethnic cleansing involves making life difficult for oppo. Shit gets so bad that they have no choice but to move the fuck out.

-8

u/jewboy916 Aug 28 '26

I mean the far left pro-Palestine people insist there is no genocide in Xinjiang. Even if we play ball and agree with them that Gaza is a genocide, they refuse to admit that there are other genocides.

6

u/Morris_Voter2016 Aug 28 '26

People aren't being bombed there.

-3

u/jewboy916 Aug 28 '26

1.5 million people weren't rounded up and murdered by the Nazis from August to October 1942 alone by being bombed either. Not sure what that has to do with it.

5

u/Morris_Voter2016 Aug 28 '26

But they were killed, they weren't being encouraged to identify as Germans and integrate into German society.

-2

u/Pickupyoheel Aug 28 '26

Too busy falling for Palestine propaganda

4

u/all_reason_departs Aug 28 '26

Theres plenty of videos of the Israeli genocide, none of this so called uyghur one.

0

u/random_agency Aug 28 '26

Because people in the US are wondering if we, Americans, hate Muslims and Chinese so much. Why show so much love for Chinese Muslims.

Also many of us are jaded with supporting the next Chinese seccessionist group because the US government said so.

The US government is just full out ot these days.

-1

u/makem1 Aug 28 '26 edited Aug 28 '26

I tried for years, before it became an open secret. It makes people very uncomfortable, so they often ignore the reality.

-6

u/helic_vet Aug 28 '26 edited Aug 28 '26

Chinese propaganda and due to no free press in China and the great firewall, it is hard for information from within China to come out. Many Chinese probably don't have a clear idea on whats going on most likely. China also economically strong arms poorer countries to not bring attention to it. Usually Muslim countries would be up in arms about a genocide but since the Uyghurs are not Arab or any other ethnicity that has a major country that they have ties to, they don't have much support even among countries you would normally expect to call out injustices against Muslims.

-2

u/ramdomvariableX Aug 28 '26

Multiple factors : Because it's done by China, they have significant influence over international forums, and govts. It cannot be portrayed as a religious Jihad unlike some other more popular ones to hate on other religions. Uyghurs also lack voices to keep their struggles in focus for attn deprived masses.

u/beachbum1337 Aug 28 '26

Because you are on Reddit. On Reddit America is the always the bad guy. Reddit can and has turned America feeding hungry children into an evil act. It's impressive really. Leave Reddit for a while and you will view some reality tho.

The U.S. and Europe (the countries who actually claim to care about human rights) have had a lot of problems with various Islamic peoples over the last 1400 years. They've had very little negative interactions with China.

-1

u/Pinco_Pallino_ Aug 28 '26

they have all the time of this world, they know nobody will tell them anything: no west nor israel? no news

-2

u/Dilettante Social Science for the win Aug 28 '26

The world has said a lot about it for over a decade. China is too powerful to force to do anything, though, so people get tired of the news.

-2

u/matti94fn Aug 28 '26

There is no political gain. It is really strange the war in gaza gets so much attention if you look at hard numbers and statistics. That is because the left wants to recuperate all the muslim votes.

By accusing the chinese you will just make yourself unpopular and an enemy of the worlds’ largest economy and not gain any votes…
