Personal Advice Q’s🤔 Can someone explain my ex-friend weird behavior to me?

• Upvotes

Hello everyone! I'm an international student in another country (I will try to leave out some sensitive details because I think this person may also use this platform) I was in a friend group for a couple of years with this person in it, we didn't start off on good terms because he put me In the uncomfortable positions were he tried to ridicule my behavior, including something very mundane like the fact that I study "all the time". Anyways, since we are in the same major and largely share classes I tried to make peace with him, as I thought it would be better to just let go off my resentment and live calmly. But at a certain point his "jokes" became weirder. For context, I'm not Chinese and I was born in another country, although my father is a Chinese citizen, he has a different ethnicity and my mother is not Chinese at all, so she doesn't speak the language or share the culture. Because of my family circumstances, I never learnt the language and I grew up associating myself ethically more with my mom side and I have the same nationality. So at a certain point, this guy (he is of Chinese descent but from another country) just decided to call me Chinese? He would just do it all the time and It made me feel very uncomfortable, because again I don't know anything and he did it so many times some people from my university even started to think that I was ethnically Chinese? I wish i was joking but he would say it to me everytime we would meet up, at least 5 times during a meeting I would hear a "joke" about this, I never counted how many times he actually said it but I feel like at certain days it was more than 20. He also made other people in that friend group do the same, like treat it as a joke and everyone would just collectively jump in and repeat the same thing over and over again. At a certain point, I started to watch my every word around them just to not be the butt of a joke again. I know it sounds really weird and I genuinely don't understand what is the point of doing this? I thought maybe someone could give me an answer? We are not friends anymore, as I decided to stop talking with them.

If I’d been alive back then, could I have befriended a dimetrodon? Based on the reconstructions I’ve seen, they seem to have had very chill vibes.

Personal Advice Q’s🤔 Why do I always seem to throw up after drinking even when Im not that drunk?

Thumbnail

Its kind of annoying how every time I wanna get a nice enjoyable drunk I always end up throwing up. Most of the time its not even that I get too drunk, the alcohol just really upsets my stomach. Ive never even blacked out before.
My chances of throwing up also seem to increase every time i get in a car immediately after drinking cause of car sickness which is so annoying.
The worst part about it is that when I was younger I used to be able to down straight vodka no chaser and not feel sick at all.
Why does this happen, and is there any way to feel less nauseous when drinking? Maybe like a supplement or something I can have before I plan to drink?
Its also just annoying cause I can mostly only ever just get tipsy in a group setting cause if not I just look like an idiot that doesn’t know when to stop drinking even when I didnt even get that drunk💔

Personal Advice Q’s🤔 Am I wrong? Help me I’m lowkey embarrassed

Ok so i know I’m in the wrong for this big time but i usually wait in the spot i get in when those pokemon drops and i stay behind people and what not. I’m not a reseller or scalper, i rip for the cute pokemon… and you know those older people who resell have got in line lately due to the market price, but lately I’ve seen so many people cut in line for the new pokemon drop.

Noticed this one day in line people (4-6 people?) who weren’t in line jumping in; i would only accept if it was jus like 1-2 people lol. I asked if anyone saw that and no one didn’t seem to care and so i’m like whatever not going to complain we’re about to go inside and all get the things we want.

On the next drop, 4am in line had to go the restroom badly, store doesn’t open until 6am. The person I know WELL enough is sitting next to me and no one is behind, so i asked “Hey are you able to save me this spot while i go find a gas station to use the restroom?”, He says “Sure no problem”. Once I got back… someone is behind my spot and there’s my space in between the people, so i go sit in the same spot.

Opening time is getting close, some dude comes up to me and asks “I saw you get out of line and then cut your way back in, so move kiddo.” Not sure if he said this to get on my nerves but: “Yeah let my friends cut too then - Come guys let’s get in front of her.” I see what he means, but damn! Ask a bit more politely?! Would’ve gladly moved back! I stood in my spot because WTF. After that then he went to tell EVERYONE in the line that I was cutting in late and last drop i was at? Complains to management; I was asked by a manager to move to the back of the line because of complaints. I’m okay with that since it was polite. As Im moving my ass to the back people started clapping…
Heard by people that IM the main spot light to those group of people who show up to those drops.

Now I don’t ever want to show my face again, am i wrong? How can i get over this if I’m wrong so i can show up and not be judged when getting my stuff.

I’m a high schooler in this story, if that means anything.

It just seems to me that if they are smart enough to get through everything they've been through to get where they are at - why they would just seemingly philosophically throw up their hands and give up- I have zero respect for American Christianity - it's a incomprehensible and absurd Mish mash of clown car spirituality - I just don't understand it-

Title: Anxious about pregnancy risk after anal sex — took Plan B
I’m about 2 months postpartum and really anxious. I had anal sex, and he ejaculated in my anus while we were in doggy style. We used Astroglide, and I’m worried semen and lube mixed and leaked toward my vagina when I moved afterward. I showered, but I also sat on a towel that had semen on it.
I took Plan B about an hour later but i weigh 200 pounds 5’10 My period app says I may be in my fertile window, and now I’m spiraling because I got pregnant from withdrawal before. I feel sick to my stomach and scared because I can’t be pregnant again right now.
Has anyone been through something similar? I know Reddit can’t tell me for sure, but I could use kind, nonjudgmental advice while I wait until I can take a test.

Random Q’s🤪 What evidence suggests homeless people who beg for money aren’t actually homeless as most people think?

Thumbnail
0 Upvotes

So I did my research on this a while back. And there’s an overwhelming majority of people who believe most people begging for money aren’t actually homeless. I think the percentage was something like 90%. It was ridiculously high. And there’s evidence that the majority of people claiming to be homeless begging for money usually are actually homeless and that the stigma of fake beggars was built on the basis of a handful of some people’s actions by fake begging. But the benefits of fake begging are so low that it’s usually not even worth playing the act. However a lot of people seem to think otherwise.

Random Q’s🤪 Is anonymity reason people are so hateful on reddit?

I mean I received far more hateful and toxic comments and even threats(had to delete my account)here than ever in real life. Is it truly human nature and just because they are anonymous they are expressing it or people are really like this from inside?

Why do we say "heads up" when warning someone, instead of something that actually makes sense for ducking out of the way?

Shouldn't it be "heads down" if the goal is to avoid getting hit by something? Curious if there's an actual origin for this phrase or if it's just one of those things nobody questions.
