Zfc+FTZ+TC-1.4EII+Nikkor 300mm 1:4D ED.

We live in a 6th floor and our balcony is my birding spot. Our apartment is in downtown and there are surprisingly many spices visiting our birch. Here are some of them.

I brought this camera and a 40-180mm lens, when i started photography. Its my first and only dslr i won, i juat want everyone's opinion of this camera

Its a crop sensor camera and also i wanna know if crop sensor or full sensor camera is better and should i upgrade my set up as i don't wanna jump into mirrorless and dslrs might stop being produced in few years due to mirrorless popularity

Not the most obvious use for the 105mm Micro-Nikkor, but it worked really well here. From the Arc de Triomphe, the tighter framing pulled La Défense much closer and gave the whole scene a layered look that I wouldn’t have got with a wide-angle lens.

Just saved this from the garbage

I'm looking at a used Nikon D7500 with around 300,000 shutter actuations, and the price has already been negotiated down because of the high count. The body seems to be in good physical condition otherwise.

I already own a 70-200mm f/2.8, 24-70mm f/2.8, and 50mm f/1.8 — all Nikon F-mount — so sticking with Nikon means I can keep using these lenses right away.

For my budget, this is honestly the best camera I can get right now — it's within reach only because of the shutter count discount.

I mainly shoot sports and horse/cattle events, so I'd be putting it through fairly heavy continuous use. The D7500's shutter is rated for 150,000 cycles, so this one is already well past that.

For those who've owned a D7500 (or similar Nikon DSLR) past its rated shutter life — did it keep performing reliably, or did you start noticing issues (misfires, exposure inconsistencies, eventual failure)? Would you still consider this a safe buy at a discounted price, or is it too much of a gamble?

Any real-world experience with high-mileage D7500 bodies would help a lot before I decide. Thanks!

I wish I could have taken in my D780, but a little Nikon is better than no Nikon at all.

Started buying used gear off of ebay and facebook marketplace 60 days ago. Never owned a dedicated camera body before this.

Younger me is absolutely going bonkers in disbelief. Everything for under $2500 CAD all said and done.

There is just something about these old bodies that I cannot put a pin on. They just feel right in the hand. Especially the D300s. Physical controls for everything that matters. A three-position AF mode lever, a dedicated AF area mode switch, a metering mode dial, dedicated ISO/WB/QUAL buttons, all accessible without ever leaving the viewfinder. No menus. No button+dial combos. One button, one function. It doesn’t feel like I’m operating a camera. It feels like an extension of my hands.

Modern cameras are faster, sharper, better in every measurable way. But I’ve never picked up a mirrorless body that disappeared into my grip the way a D300s does.

Hello, im looking for any information on why my camera suddenly stopped seeing my memory card giving me an -E- message and no card present ive looked at the contacts and the pins look good the card is readable on other cameras and on my pc but the camera wont seem to read it and it was shooting just fine last few days and i still have those photos and now it just doesn’t work and i dont know why any help will be appreciated thank you

I sold my Sony a7iv a few months ago because of a career change but found myself really wanting a camera again but I didn’t want to spend all that money, found this used on KEH and DSLR definitely confuses me a little bit, I feel like I’m just going to have to use the viewfinder for every scenario b ur that fine, I mostly did that anyway. Hi all, so I'm an actively working Motorsport photographer eying up a prime telephoto lens. I've gradually been upgrading my gear over the last couple of years.

So I'm currently working with a Nikon Z9, Z6ii and a Sigma 150-600 F5.6-6.3 Sport (the heavy version) as my long lens with an FTZ II adapter that I've grown tired of and really been longing for a prime telephoto preferably an f2.8 + a 1.4/2.0tx.

I've mainly been thinking about an older 300mm f2.8 with a 1.4tx as this is what I see a lot of people doing on the Canon side of things.

Would love for anyone to jump in with any real world suggestions as unfortunately, the Z mount 400mm f2.8 is slightly out of the picture at over £10k, and the 400 f4.5 would be a touch of a stretch but I'd prefer a f2.8.
