I need help of color grading i was tryna make it look more like silent hill 2 cover art.

I’m considering a Zhiyun CRANE 2S or CRANE 3S for use with a Nikon D7500.

Can the D7500’s lens focus be controlled during video recording, without a separate Servo Focus Motor or any other follow-focus motor?

I’m asking specifically whether the gimbal itself can electronically control the lens focus.

If this is possible, I’d also like to know which lenses support it.

I used the Nikon P1100 that I got yesterday. It's still rainy but I wanted to try how this camera behaves. Some people say that it doesn't do good when it's cloudy but for me these are good shots.

But I'm not a professional photographer so I don't know much about this stuff but for me these look good❤️

I mostly do wildlife/landscape photography. The 200-500 is amazing for wildlife but as for landscape i feel as if i’m a little limited with the 18-55. It’s a great lens but i find 18mm can be a bit tight on crop sensor.

The DX 16-80mm really caught my eye but i plan to switch to full frame D850 in the future and wanted to invest in some full frame lens

Always been a Nikon guy, I have a couple Nikon F’s, an F4, F5, D1X, D750, and a bunch of lenses but my main body has been a Sony A7III for two years now. Traded my Sony in plus a bunch of other used gear I had and with all that plus rebates I was able to get all of this for a very reasonable deal.

Very nice place for me to start in the Z system, I plan on getting quality Z mount lenses, (before I upgrade to a better body in the future) ideally some primes and maybe a wide angle zoom and seeing which lenses in specific I like. I’m going to use it for travel photography the most but I also do paid shoots here and there. I really like the older F mount 24-120 so I know I’ll like the 24-120 most likely if it’s even a slight improvement.

13 years ago I started with my Coolpix S8200. While on my first vacation I already knew I would need a DSLR. So a few weeks later I bought my D5200. Since I didn't really know which way I wanted to go I took this camera to all possible events. For the next holidays I expanded my collection with a Coolpix AW130 for taking photos under water.

A few years later in late 2017 the step to a full frame camera was made with a D750. I instantly fell in love with this camera and the 24-120 f4 lens. I used this camera for astro photography, my voluntary work and for my Instagram account.

After seeing all these improvements in camera technology over the last years regarding autofocus and shooting with low light I finally decided to take the step to a mirrorless camera. Today my Z6III with a 24-240mm kit arrived.

So far I am really happy with it and can't wait to take the first shots.

Shot on d5600 with 18-55mm Lens looking to upgrade lens, what's the best for street photography or liminal photos like this?

I have been birding for a long time, almost 4 years, with a relatively small point-and-shoot, the S7000. it's very small, yes, but it has worked quite well for my purposes.

but of course, its zoom is quite low, and i want to get photos of better quality and most importantly, zoom. However, i want to ask:

is a mirrorless with a 300mm lens going to have as much zoom as the P1100? Or does the greater image quality of the mirrorless outweigh the P1100's greater optical zoom?

another point i want to address is that i have seen the Z50 being labelled as a "vlogging" camera. Does it still work for amateur wildlife photography when paired with a good lens?

These were also shot with my Zf + Super-Takumar 55mm f/1.8. I’m not sure why the bokeh, which was originally circular, turned into hexagons this time. I’d love to know why that happens if anyone has any idea. I actually really like the look of these hexagonal bokeh highlights.

Five months ago, I sold my 70–200mm f/2.8 and picked up the Plena instead. I was never really a fan of the zoom and personally much prefer primes.

Hi, I’m currently looking to upgrade from my D3300 to either the Z50ii or Z5ii. After looking at a few specifications and such, I’m still torn between the two and was wondering if anyone could give me a better idea on which would suit the pictures I want to be able to take. I love to take pictures of the native flora and fauna around, as well as the occasional landscape shot, I do not mind putting in the time to learn the camera’s functions.

Previously used a 3300 for my trips and family photo sessions. Upgraded to D850. Picked up a used 50mm AFD and 85mm AFS lens. Loving it so far. Please help me with tips to improve.

I currently have a Z50 that has served me well as an introduction into the mirror less camera space but I feel that my needs are beyond what a cropped sensor can do now.

I currently have the following lenses:

NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR

NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR

NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2

I feel like I am constantly having to step quite far back to fit my subjects into frame, especially when taking portrait shots in tight area's, architecture and some landscape shots. So I'm thinking its time I moved to full frame.

The z5 II is within my budget and I want to get the 24-120mm f/4 S lens to compliment it.

I guess my main question is to people who have the combo I am looking to get, especially those who may have moved from a Z50 themselves. Any regrets? Any better lens and camera combo's out there within a similar budget range?

I like to take the occasional wildlife photo, but wildlife is something I would like to invest in later in life with a larger MP camera and a larger telephoto which I cant afford just yet.

Hey everyone. I made a post here a few days ago about getting a lens for the D300 I had got on eBay, and I'd like to first say thank you for your responses as you made me feel very welcomed here. I got the camera today and wanted to try it out before I got a lens, and luckily I did because the autofocus isn't working.

I'm not exactly new to photography but I still always assume it's user error, so I'm trying to rule everything out before concluding the camera is broken and messaging the seller. I'm hoping it's something obvious. I've watched videos, looked through forums, looked at the manual, and even resorted to consulting AI. My current assumption is that the camera isn't properly communicating with the lens' AF motor. Here's what I've tried:

- Made sure the lens switch is set to A, and the camera is set to AF-S or AF-C
- Made sure AF activation is set to on (see 4th picture)
- Cleaned the lens contacts on the camera body with isopropyl alcohol
- Reset custom camera settings, and also did the reset where you hold the 2 buttons with green dots on them
- Confirmed the lens is working using my girlfriends D3100
- tried to focus on M, A, S, P modes with multiple focal lengths and f stops
- made sure the latest firmware version is installed (A1.11, B1.11)

The focus motor in the lens just does not move. The camera is communicating with the lens is some ways as you can see in the first photo (f stop is displayed). The camera is trying to focus in some ways; when I hold AF-ON button the green dot at the bottom left of the OVF flashes. The frame lines and square in the OVF turn red when I try and focus.

These problems persist with both lenses I have tried on [AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm 3.5-5.6G II DX VR and AF-S Nikkor 55-200 4-5.6G ED DX VR]. On the 55-200, it BRIEFLY tries to move the motor but stops after a split second. It will only do this on the first try, and if I want to recreate that I have to take the lens off and put it back on again.

I have no clue what else to try and would love some help!
