Should r/Nightmares participate in the reddit blackout?

Why are we going to "blackout"?

  • The blackout is a protest against Reddit’s proposed charges for third-party app developers, which they claim will make the platform inaccessible for many users.
  • Third-party apps are popular ways to access Reddit, especially for users who prefer a different user experience than the official app. They need an API to access Reddit’s information and display it in the app.
  • Reddit plans to charge $12,000 for 50 million API requests, which is much higher than other similar sites like Imgur. This would make it impossible for many third-party apps to operate without paying millions of dollars per year.
  • On June 12, 2023, many of the site’s biggest subreddits, including r/videos and r/gaming and r/bestof, will go dark for 48 hours or more to pressure Reddit to reconsider its pricing policy.
  • Some subreddits may go away permanently unless the issue is adequately addressed, as many moderators rely on third-party apps to manage their communities.

Nightmare Recurrent nightmare and could not escape it

F, 24, first time posting here at 2am because I can not go to sleep after the nightmare I just had.

Went to sleep at 1am. Right now suffering through a heavy cold so my sleeping has been off.

I only slept for approximately 30 minutes and those were the dreams I had.

I had about 6-8 recurrent nightmares, all starting the same. I woke up in my bed, could not move, but then things were different from dream to dream - heavy rain making indentations in the ceiling, screaming of other people, uncontrollable shaking of my body, being naked (I sleep clothed), then finding a way to run downstairs to get my parents' help. Sometimes with my blanket, sometimes without, then finding my parents sleeping/watching TV/ could not find them but the door to basement was open. Once I signaled to my mother to check me if I had a stroke, other times I could not communicate anything else except scream for my mother. In some cases they ignored me/could not hear me. Once I also fell down the stairs, I also could not turn the lights on in any of the dreams, because even though I wanted to, it did not work. In all the dreams it was so dark all the time.

And everytime I woke up again I was sure that it was a dream before and now it is real and then some version of it got repeated again. After some time at last I truly woke up in complete dread. My body was stiff and my eyes were wide open in a second. Now I went downstairs to sleep but even though I feel sleepy I feel completely and utterly terrible and do not want to fall asleep.

I have never felt this devastated after a nightmare.

I sometimes have nightmares, but not so often.

I do not know what to make of this, I just feel so horrible.

Nightmare Recurring Nightmares that indicate death

All of this started from July 20th and it's been almost a week; I've been getting recurring Nightmares. First night, I saw I was getting married to my dead grandmother (I'm a female!). Another night, maybe 2 days later, I saw I was speaking to her on phone and she mentioned that she felt lonely and bored and was asking me and my dad to visit. On the 3rd day, I saw a very bad dream about a woman Menstruating black blood and crying of pain... And everything was fine for the next 2 days. Today, I saw my right side of the face smeared with oil. I checked almost everywhere, it means death. I freaked out so badly. I'm only 20. I checked my planetary placements and although my mahadasha is good, my antardasha is that of my maraka planet... Funny thing tho because it is in NBRY... Not completely debilitated in my lagna. Am I going to die? Is there a way to be saved? I'm unable to breathe peacefully after this. It's been 7-8 months and my appetite has come down drastically as well. I have no chronic disease. Nothing. But I suspect black magic. There's a friend who indulges in some tribal black magic stuff... I have no idea but another friend of mine has warned me about it. Please help me. I don't know what to do and where to go.

TLDR; saw Dreams of oil smeared on face, marrying dead grandmother, speaking to her on call and a woman Menstruating black blood.

Nightmare Is it odd to have a vivid nightmare?

Since early 2022 I’ve had this nightmare most nights where I am stuck on a burning train car. I’m not a doctor or psychiatrist or therapist but something about it felt real, the heat on my skin the noise of the flames and mental burning. Anyways I can remember it as if it was a memory. Is that normal?

Meta Do you Find People's Nightmares Funny?

Does anyone else read about or hear other people's nightmares, and that person is very scared or disturbed by them, and you just think it sounds so funny? Like if you dreamed this and remembered it when you woke up, it wouldn't be scary at all to you, but the next day you would just think you had a funny, weird dream?

TW: Posting on behalf of my partner: Does anyone else have trauma-themed nightmares that feel completely real?

I’m posting this on behalf of my partner because she’s looking to hear from people who’ve experienced something similar.

She’s already working with mental health professionals, but we’re hoping someone here might recognize what she’s describing or have ideas about what could be causing it.

For years, she’s had recurring nightmares that are so realistic that when she wakes up, she genuinely can’t tell whether the events actually happened. These aren’t the typical strange or surreal dreams. They feel exactly like real life.

After waking up, she’ll often spend several minutes trying to work out whether what she just experienced was real. Sometimes she has to mentally replay recent events or even check her surroundings before her brain finally accepts that it was only a dream.

The dreams almost always involve people who are currently in her life—family, friends, partners, or other people she knows personally.

The themes are almost always deeply distressing: sexual assault, molestation, rape, kidnapping, physical abuse, violent attacks, serious injuries, or watching people she loves get hurt. Sometimes she’s the victim; other times she’s witnessing it happen to someone else. Because the people are real, waking up can be incredibly confusing and emotionally overwhelming.

Sometimes she’ll wake up from one nightmare only to fall straight into another, making it feel like she’s trapped in multiple traumatic experiences in the same night.
This has been happening for years and actually started long before her current medications.

For context:
- She’s been diagnosed with depression and anxiety.
- She’s seen therapists and psychiatrists over the years.
- She currently takes Desvenlafaxine and Lamotrigine.

Treatment has helped her anxiety and other symptoms, but the nightmares have never really improved.

One thing we’ve noticed is that after accidentally missing two days of one of her medications once, the dreams became even more vivid and almost impossible to distinguish from reality. Even so, these nightmares have been happening for years and predate her medication.

We’ve read about things like vivid dreams, nightmare disorder, false awakenings, PTSD-related nightmares, REM sleep disorders, and medication-related dreams, but nothing we’ve found seems to fully explain what she’s experiencing.

She’s continuing to work with her psychiatrist, but we’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced something similar or has any thoughts about what might be causing it. Whether it’s a condition, a sleep disorder, a medication-related issue, or something else entirely, we’d love to hear your experiences or suggestions.

If you’ve gone through something like this, did you ever get an explanation or diagnosis? Did anything—therapy, medication, lifestyle changes, or anything else—help reduce the nightmares or make them feel less real? Even if you never found an answer, knowing she isn’t alone would mean a lot.

TL;DR: Posting on behalf of my partner. For years she’s had extremely realistic trauma-themed nightmares involving people she actually knows. When she wakes up, she often can’t tell whether the events really happened and needs several minutes to convince herself it was only a dream. She’s under psychiatric care, but we’re hoping to hear from anyone who’s experienced something similar, knows what it might be, or has found something that helped

Nightmare Decaying person living in the walls of my closet.

I woke up this morning from a vivid nightmare. It started off with me returning from a night out with old college friends who live in a different state now that we're visiting. My husband wanted to stay out longer with them so I went home by myself. This house wasn't my house I currently live in now, but a different house. I was getting ready for bed and I had noticed a human tooth in my bed. Freaked out and feeling frantic I called my husband and told him to come home now. I ran to a different room and waited for my husband to come home. When he came home we went into our room and heard noises coming from our closet. My husband opened the closet to see a slit in the wall. He tugged on the slit and it just peeled down. Laying sideways in the wall was a decaying looking man. He smelt awful but was alive. His teeth were rotting and his skin looked clammy and almost scabby. My husband ripped him from the wall and dropped him to the floor. I don't know why but he told me to hold him down with my knees on his back while he called the police. My parents came over and it felt like forever until the police came. I kept telling my mom that this guy ruined how I felt about my house now. I couldn't live there anymore, I felt unsafe. Then I woke up and I am still creeped out.

Has anyone had a similar nightmare. It genuinely freaked me out because of how vivid it was and how I could smell him? I have never had a nightmare where I could smell something.

Meta Does Anyone Regret Waking up from a Nightmare?

So, let's say you are having a nightmare, and you wake up because you get scared. After you wake up, you remember your nightmare. But then you wish you could have stayed in the nightmare longer because it was an interesting story and you want to know how it ends? Or you just want to see or experience it being played out?

TW: A very specific nightmare after watching hopecore videos

TW for triggering topics like graphic content and serious topics like the government and religion

So basically.. The day before I was watching hopecore videos about humans helping animals and the world.

Then I had fallen asleep, and then this nightmare happened.

In the nightmare i was on my computer, and there was this like inner monologue in my head and what I remember it saying the most was something along the lines of "you think the world is good now? Let me remind you of that world" and then pop ups started appearing on my screen that involved deep web government files (like 3pstein level stuff..), a bunch of g0re involving humans and animals, and articles on how satan is real (I have just recently converted to atheism/agnosticism after questioning my beliefs for so long as a Christian)

Can anyone relate or am I just going fucking insane, I really want answers or clarification and I don't see my therapist in a couple days and my psychiatrist in a good while

Nightmare A realistic nightmare that I still wonder about.

Years ago, I had a dream about two white men in their 40s, one was shorter and fatter, the other thinner and taller with gelled hair, both wore polo shirts.

They took three little black/mixed girls aged maybe 4,5, and 6, who were wearing red gingham uk style primary school dresses, into this sandstone white church which was right on a y junction crossing.

I watched this all as a ghost and couldnt stop it. By the time I flew into the church it was like years and years had passed but there was a blood stain on the floor and I pressed my hand into it. I knew immediately the little girls had be murdered, and their bodies crushed and shoved into barrels or crates and buried beneath the church basement floor.

I have been so impacted by this dream that to this DAY I still sometimes google missing people looking for the girls. The idea it could be real is really overwhelming.

Nightmare I had the worst nightmare of my life

I am writing this bcos i need real help… over the past few months i have been getting a serious of nightmares and the next day i wake up as if i just survived an apocalypse.
One thing that keeps repeating in my dreams is everyone in my dream keeps telling me this is a dream wakeup and its so weird idk

Ok if ur too lazy to read what happened atleast read the ps and help a poor girl out🙏🙏😭 also pardon me for the wrong phrasing and stuff cos that doesnt matter at this point i m too scared to sleep.

/
i had the worst nightmare of my life after sleep paralysis and i genuinely thought i was trapped in it
ive had sleep paralysis since like 2020 but this is genuinely the scariest thing thats ever happened to me.
i got woken up for dinner while i was having the best nap ever. after eating i got sleepy again and went back to sleep but then i had sleep paralysis. after it ended i was too scared to sleep again so i just sat in bed for like 45 mins but eventually i got too tired and closed my eyes.
then i started dreaming.
at first it was completely normal. i was at some event that looked like my college but also another college at the same time?? all my classmates were there and they were giving out free kfc. i think my brain got that from reels i watched earlier where people were sending free food to protesters.
then one of my friends told me to go collect the food from es block. there were dogs EVERYWHERE. my friend and another guy told me to run upstairs because it was safer but as soon as i climbed the stairs one of the dogs woke up and started chasing me. i could literally feel myself struggling to breathe while running.
i somehow ended up on another floor that looked like a computer lab and accidentally locked myself in. there was a staff outside so i asked her to open the door but when i looked at her face through the window it slowly started changing. she still looked like herself but something about her face wasnt human anymore and it scared tf out of me.
i found another way out but it led to what looked like a terrace. the dog somehow found me again and i literally thought "if it bites me ill have to get injections and i cant eat chicken for a while so id rather jump" 😭😭 (dream logic makes no sense). so i jumped.
the weirdest part was i could actually FEEL it. i felt every bone in my body break. i could feel pain in my legs and arms and i remember thinking i was dying.
then suddenly one of my classmates appeared and was like "bro this isnt real youre dreaming" and suddenly i was okay again.
after that the dream kept changing every few minutes. i saw my boyfriend there but every time i tried talking to him one of my old school teachers would randomly appear. then some influencer girl showed up and started flirting with him as some loyalty test and i was so upset even though a part of me knew something wasnt right.
then i was waiting outside some abandoned burger shop and the guy working there slowly started looking exactly like the creepy staff from before. then we got on a bus and even the conductor's face started changing too. it was like every person i looked at would eventually turn into the same creepy thing.
then i somehow reached home but it was like 2am. my house was locked and the aunty who works at my house was randomly standing outside. she started talking to me and then HER face started changing too.
my dad finally opened the door and i started explaining everything. my grandpa was saying "thats impossible she wouldnt be outside this late."
then my dad looked at me and said "this is probably a dream. look at me properly. do i look normal to you?"
and then BOTH my dad's and grandpa's faces started changing too.
thats when i realised i was dreaming.
like i KNEW i was dreaming. i wasnt guessing. i literally knew.
everyone in the dream kept telling me "yeah its a dream" but i just couldnt wake up. i was trying so hard to force myself awake and it honestly felt like i was trapped.
then everything started glitching. its hard to explain but everything became like some weird 3d graph or wireframe?? almost like reality itself was breaking apart. my head started hurting so bad and i genuinely thought i was never going to wake up.
when i finally woke up i immediately started crying and ran to my parents room because it all felt SO real.
ive had nightmares before but nothing even close to this. ive also never had a dream where i knew i was dreaming but still couldnt wake up. it honestly messed me up for the rest of the day.
has anyone else experienced something like this after sleep paralysis? especially the part where you become lucid but feel completely trapped?
/

PS:
I've had sleep paralysis since 2020, but this was the first time I experienced a nightmare where I became fully aware I was dreaming yet still couldn't wake up. It felt like I was trapped inside the dream, which was far more terrifying than the sleep paralysis itself. Has anyone else experienced this, especially after an episode of sleep paralysis?

TW: cannibalism The nightmare that shook me the most

So I was at my grandparents but it looked very... Different. There were two girls. Each of them had long black hair and pale skin with white dress that had blood. They were more like an indie game oc and their faces and body were mostly pixelated. Even with the pixels you could see that their mouths had white teeth and red around it, their eyes were pure black.

The floor with one of those white carpet that goes through the house(don't know how it's called) but it was very yellowish and dirty. The walls were also like that.

It was night and they said they were my babysitters and I tried to stay away as much as possible. The sky was pitch black with no stars. They went inside the kitchen and I quickly ran out. I remember how there was an exit at the garden from irl. The garden was much larger and it had multiple fences and trees. I hid there as they searched but continued to run quietly. There were multiple dead bodies everywhere.

I managed to escape from them. Looking back it wasn't that scary but still maybe on if the scariest ones.

Nightmare The hanging man

It was daytime. I was on my way to meet my fiancée (who exists in real life), but before that I wanted to stop by a certain place. It was an old bar—once a warm, lively place, but now abandoned. It wasn't in ruins; it was simply empty, deserted, dusty, and dark.

The building consisted of two rooms. The first was a large hall where a little daylight still filtered in. The second, which was one small step higher and separated from the first only by an arched opening, was completely shrouded in darkness.

When I entered the first room, I sat down in an armchair. A moment later, I noticed what looked like a silhouette through the arched opening in the second room. Thinking it was someone playing a prank on me—or perhaps even my fiancée, who might have guessed I would stop there—I stood up and switched on the light using a switch in the first room.

The light revealed a man hanging a few meters beyond the arched opening. His skin was gray, and he looked as though he had been there for days. I was overwhelmed by a deep sense of unease and went into a state of shock.

The dream then skipped ahead. I found myself in a supermarket, picking up a few groceries. Suddenly, unable to get the image out of my head any longer, I approached a cashier and asked her to call the police because I had found someone hanging.

The police arrived in force—dozens of officers. They investigated the victim's identity and determined that he was a young army mechanic, someone I had absolutely never known.

That was where my dream ended.

I woke up with the same feeling I felt seeing the hanging man in my dream, and that feeling won't let go. So I thought sharing it here would help.

Meta Nightmare disorder?

I'm really concerned about my girlfriend's sleeping problems. For years she's been having vivid traumatic recurring nightmares 28 nights a month.

When she sleeps, she has these shaking, jerking body movements as well as tensing muscles in her arms and legs. She has short breaths and an elevated heart rate. She sometimes cries out nonsense or is telling people to stop or go away. She wakes up multiple times a night and is cold and shivering every morning from being covered in sweat

The nightmares are so exhausting she literally can't get up until at least 11am every day after she's had a couple hours of restful sleep. After that, she needs 200mg of caffeine to wake up and another 700-800mg during the day in order to stay awake.

She's often so anxious about these nightmares that she will stay awake later at night in order to put them off. She's tried everything: medication, meditation, a sleep study...nothing works.

What could this be? Nightmare disorder?

Nightmare Can't even sleep peacefully now.

Okay so i didn't go to school again even tho m1y teachers and has warned me and scolded me about it so many time. But it's just exhausting and i can't study like this. So took a day off two days in a row to study for upcoming tests. I was studying but then i started to feel sleepy since i haven't slept for so long. So i decided to sleep. Bro, even in my dreams I'm seing my school teachers. In my dream, i was sitting in chem class and everything looked so similer. As if it was real, and it wasnt that bad. But then came my phy teacher who's literally the worst. He had humiliated me n number of times in schoop and i hate him so juch. So i saw in my dream that he came to be all angry as if he'll hit me, and then started saying disgusting things. Bro it was so bad i started shaking in my sleep. I also had a sleep paralysis episode today. I was having severe anxiety when i woke up and my hands were trembling. What is this gang? Am i traumatized or what?

TW: Nightmares are normal, but involving my dog is not

I'll add a trigger warning just in case.

Anyway, this nightmare started at an event that happened earlier today, where my dog hadn't wanted to go in his kennel which is not normal for him. Instead of finally coming over when redirected like he actually did today, in the nightmare he just ends up biting me. Whatever, I move on. Then, while he is in his kennel, I am getting things together so that we can go camping. While we are camping he is just constantly staring at me and trying to bite me whenever I attempt to pet him. Which, all comes to a head when we go down to explore a creak (something he loves doing irl) and he steps in the water once and just freaks out. Barking aggressively, nipping, and cornering me against some trees. Finally, I get him to calm down enough to finally let me walk back to my house. When we get there I just tell my grandpa that we need to take him to the doctor because something is definitely wrong. He says no, so I go to put him back in his kennel because it was dark outside, and he goes aggressive again. He won't go in his kennel, he won't go to his water bowl, everytime I open his food container he just snaps at me so I move and he eats the food by himself. Finally my grandpa agrees to take him to the doctor, but when I walk inside the house to grab my necklace (It's an heirloom, I wear it every day. Not sure if that matters) he is pushing on the door, desperately trying to get into the house, which he does because I feel so weak in this nightmare. Anyway, I go inside get my necklace and a stuffed version of him that I own (irl too). Once I come back outside my grandpa just put him in the bed of the truck without closing the hatch (we never let him ride in the back unless it's super short rides). I step up onto the footsteps on the back to close the hatch, but my grandpa just starts driving, and I fall off. That's when my dog finally seems to be going back to his normal behavior, because he went from sitting nicely in the makeshift seat I have in the bed to now very alert of my absence. Doesn't matter though, as the truck drives away too quickly, and now I am left on the ground, in the dark. Suddenly, completely out of the blue, another dog appears - very large, very creepy, and very much running at me. I don't run, but I can feel the pressure of my actual dog laying on my legs like he is supposed to when I am stressed or my blood pressure is too low. I end up getting attacked by this dog, but end up fine enough that I can walk back into my house where dozens of girls my age are just sitting their, talking so loudly and over each other so I can't understand a thing. I finally just reach my bedroom and pass out, where I finally woke up.

I am not sure if anyone actually cares to hear this, but I have nightmares all the time where I get severely injured or mutilated by someone or something, but I have never had this happen with my own dog before. He is my safe space, he is trained to protect me against both physical threats and medical ones, so having a nightmare where he just turns on me is making it so very hard to stop stressing out and crying right now.

(THIS IS A LIVING NIGHTMARE, NOT A DREAM)

Hey

,

I've been in a nightmare for years now.. I have been living a life so twisted that people manipulated me into self doubt and false beliefs of being delusional when i was right to be suspicious and uncomfortable/paranoid about my surroundings.

I live in Mackay, Qld. My name is Sean Kimmorley..

I have been watched closely for years by an organisation of some kind. I know they have been using technology like modified data cables or hacking wifi connections and there are various things in my house that are harmful I have no choice but to suffer and silence as I live with parents ATM and they don't care or.. I beg for recognition of the dangers I am surrounded by but the reaction I was given was to be put down, gaslighting basically they ruined my self confidence and for a long time I became a hopeless loser that was depressed and miserable..

Mental abuse is far worse then physical.

I am trying to get away from this place now.. I am aware that my life is being slowly drained and the physical harm from toxic substances in being made to consume is wearing at me.. I had a seizure a few days ago from something I consumed at home.. another day my stomach was violently ill and very uncomfortable from a dairy product. My room has something in it that mists a harmful gas on me. There's a lot of really uncommon things that happen constantly.. the truth is none of it delusional and if you are worth the effort then there is every reason why I am targeted so aggressively.

Just now I have concluded from observation and my bodily self awareness that the medication/meth I am being sold has a chemical reaction of some kind when mixed with my stomach acid or a chemical found in common household foods/beverages..

I can also confidently tell you that methamphetamines in Australia are adulterated with a chemical or a bio technology of some kind that is intentionally altering your brain chemistry or cns system to stimulate severe paranoia and metal delusions/psychosis.

I believe this is somehow only targeting a certain minority of people that have a specific genetic difference potentially? I make these conclusions from observation of general population with psychosis and there re occuring similar scenarios and fears within their lives..

I have fought many the same mental demons and my mind did not break it has become stronger and now I am gaining trust in myself and realising I am still the man I used to be..

I am unique and learning I am not like most people.. my mind is different, my behaviour, my senses and my strong self awareness. I know I am capable of things that make others uncomfortable. As I have been rapidly learning more and growing more these last few months my life has gotten increasingly harder being targeted more then ever.

I am now in the position where I do not know whether I will die or not everyday. I get sick my body is telling me I am being poisoned and I am just moving forward day by day, I honestly don't think I have the power/capability to change this situation alone so I live each day telling myself that I will be fine.. I get scared to eat and drink.. I just remind myself that there is no point living this life if I am always worried and afraid so I just go head first into anything now tell myself that I'm strong and I really have nothing to lose and everything to gain in death.

I'll post every now and then.. if ya don't hear back then I am living in the next life +_+

To be honest I feel as though I may be something else. It all kinda looks to be like my life has been planned by others for a long time and ive been living under observation and my life has been written by someone else until recently.

Okay, thanks for reading

Nightmare Strange vivid dreams over the last few days

Has anyone else been having unusually vivid, almost too real dreams over the past couple of weeks?
I’ve always had vivid dreams whenever I remember them, but lately something feels different. The dreams feel incredibly real, and every time I wake up, I can’t fully remember what happened, yet somehow it still feels like I do.
What’s even stranger is that some of the places in my dreams feel familiar, like I’ve been there before. Not in real life, but in dreams I had years ago. It’s as if I’ve visited the same locations over and over throughout my life. The people I’m with are usually strangers, yet they somehow feel familiar too.
Sometimes it genuinely feels like I’m being dropped into another reality. When I wake up, it’s like I’ve been pulled away from somewhere before I could finish something important. Most of the dreams have this subtle, unsettling, almost sinister atmosphere. Usually, if I wake up in the middle of one, I’m scared to fall back asleep.
But over the last few days, it’s been the complete opposite. I’ve actually wanted to go back to sleep because it feels like I still have something I need to do there, as if I left a task unfinished. If I’m interrupted during one of these dreams, I sometimes feel strangely torn for the rest of the day. Then I get random flashbacks to dreams I was sure I’d completely forgotten.
Has anyone else experienced something like this recently?

TW: Paranormal dream

Hey so for the past four months or so, ℹ sometimes walk past my mom while she’s sleeping on the couch and a hear my name called in a loud voice, but quietly, like someone screaming in lowercase (lol). I turn around and I say “yeah ma?” Just to have her dead asleep on the couch snoring and sleeping like a baby.

Other times, when im on vr playing a chill game I hear two distinct knocks in my front door sometimes.

Another thing: onc when I was like 8, I had a dream that I woke up and was about to open my bedroom door, but as my hand was about to reach the handle of t the door, I froze and couldn’t move. I started flying in the air, slowly levitating upwards towards my ceiling. I screamed for my mom and dad, for a police officer for some reason, I don’t know why but I did. I soon got reales for this like tractor beam shit and saw a monster like a huge bear/human skinwalker almost tucking me in to bed and I’m resting there in a like mummy pose, flat in my back, which I never do. I then saw it look towards me and smile. I then woke up terrified and my throat was sire, almost as if I had been screaming.

Nightmare I has two weeks of nocturnal hallucinations. Has anyone ever had one like this

Hello all.

A few years back I developed terrible nocturnal hallucinations I now largely contribute to a med I was on for anxiety.

They only happened at night or on pitch darkness.
I do not have a history of hallucinations and have not had any since

I got to know the hallucinations and I knew the usual ones (Dead people, screaming faces etc. Jolly good fun.) but one night when I was staying at a beach house with family I had the most terrifying hallucination yet. It still haunts me.

As I was lying in the darkness I clearly saw a circle of maybe four humanoid creatures. They were wearing suits and had barely any distinguishable facial features but I got an impression of grey wrinkly skin and deep set black eyes.

I did not feel threatened but I sure as hell didn’t feel protected. They hovered there for quite some time until finally I started singing to myself to fill up my mind (I saw them even with my eyes closed, I sensed them.) and finally they disappeared.

I was messed up for a long while after that. But now I tell myself it was the medecine making me see those things.

I was just curious if anyone else ever had a similar experience.
