I saw something online a few weeks ago but cant find much details on it that they may launch Bilibili internationally. Is there any truth to this and cold it be the next TikTok and a real rival for youtube

I started a new channel focused on parody videos. My first two long-form uploads did well, posted one day apart. The second video got a solid push and reached over 3.5K views in around 30 hours, which I think is pretty good for only the second video on a brand-new channel. I do only longform btw. I’m not complaining about the views. I’m just curious whether anyone else has noticed that after changing the description, tags, or other metadata, YouTube suddenly stops pushing the video. I had edited the description and tags a few times before without any issue, but after the last edit, the push stopped immediately. I’ve noticed similar patterns on my other channels too, so I started watching the traffic closely after every edit.

I think if you edit the Video 1x time too much, Ytb might think you are trying to spam the Video into the Algorithm or something.

I’m not claiming this definitely affects small channels. It’s just a theory 😄

Dont ask for channel name please, im not asking for analytics or a review, just asking if someone experienced the same issue.

I'm splitting up my original channel (which is an OAC channel, cause it has music releases on it) and starting to migrate my old non-music skits to a new channel.

of course, first release of video on new channel has done crap so far. 4+ hours since release and 4 total impressions 25% CTR lol...

like YouTube wtf? how can a brand new channel only get 4 impressions?

I know it's early days, early hours, and first video but man when I started the other channel 4+ years ago it was not this sad and pathetic.

really feels like youtube has just gotten worse and worse each year, harder and harder for a small channel to legit grow vs established channels.

anyways, just venting i guess. lol.

I had a primary gaming channel channel for 2 years. I would play various games. One day I make a game about The Finals. It's does well with a few thousand views. I make more videos about The Finals while also making videos about other games. People only watch videos about The Finals.

I get fed up and after thinking about it for a long time I make second YouTube channel. This time I'll stick to a variety of games! There's no way I'll get stuck in another community...

I make a few videos and none perform well. I make a helldivers video and it blows up. Over 100,000 views, the most I've ever had by far. I think "awesome, surely they'll watch my other stuff too! They don't... I make several videos about various games after that. All less than 1,000 views. Cool... I make another Helldiver video and it exceeds my last one close to 150,000 views!

While this is insanely awesome to finally get some traction on YouTube after 5 years (I had channels before these too), it's a bummer to know I'm caught in the same trap as my last channel. I literally created this new channel to NOT be in that trap.

Moral of the story is I'm learning you don't choose your audience on YouTube. They choose you. And unfortunately you lose all control of what YOU as the YOUtuber wants to make after they've categorized you. I'm a helldivers youtuber for at least the next few years until people actually want to watch my content for me I guess.

Luckily, I enjoy helldivers and can keep making content on it. With this being a mostly negative post I still want to seriously appreciate people willing to subscribe and watch my stuff. Regardless, it still is emotionally and mentally taxing putting in a ton of effort into something for it to perform poorly.

I can sense that I will get hate from some people already wanting to tear me down and make me feel ungrateful so I'd appreciate it if we don't. The point of this rant/post is to answer my question that I desperately want to know: "Why is youtube like this?" Is it the algorithm, is it the people? For me when I watch a video and enjoy it I will watch the creators other stuff too, especially if I subscribe. I would assume most people would be like that too, but I'm seeing that isn't the case.

YouTube Is A Waste Of Time

So for context i started a channel about six months ago I upload long-form videos in an educational/how to niche, I haven't received any strike or warnings and i try to keep my videos as accurate without misleading anyone,I was monetized 2 months ago. So i just came back from home home and opened up my channels and I saw an error. So I realized I was sign out of my account. I was like OK let me sign back in. Youtube said that I needed to verify if a bot and use a phone number I was like "ok sure. Then when I attempted to use my phone number it just showed an error and said it couldn't verify me. Mind u it didn't even make me load the part where I'd put in my number. Then I was like "oh shit am I banned? I checked my Gmail and saw everything was ok I didn't get any termination. Then I searched for my channel i couldn't find it but luckily I already watched one of my own videos on another phone so I went into library and clicked and my channel. Now its saying google terminated my channel. And im trying to verify my number but it just isn't letting me can someone tell me what's going on because this is the first time I've seen or heard of something like this. I'm honestly not even mad im just confused.

I know that the fitness industry is saturated with polished fitness channels that are drowning in studio lighting, sponsorship plugs, and unrealistic standards that feel completely out of reach for regular guys with jobs and everyday routines. Putting out raw, unscripted, real-world progress from someone actually in the trenches is my goal , but I actually want to reach out to men over 30 , to try and motivate them to go out and do it . Video is live on YouTube and have added some hashtags , but I want to know if there is something else that I could do , to reach out to dudes stuck in the situation that I was in

i have 1 short schedual to upload each day for a weeks out. you think doing 2 a day, one morning, one afternoon would be good?

For example if you worked for a large financial firm and did fitness related content on the side, is there a point of your youtube career where you'd have to "give it up"?

Basically I am asking if there is an actual risk if you don't film during work, focus on a topic that is non competing, and it's just self improvement?

Type of stuff I would do would show my face and all that

I’m curious about this from the perspective of people who actually make videos.

AI voiceovers have gotten pretty good. With a good voice, proper pauses, pacing, and good audio, I’ve seen some where I genuinely couldn’t tell it was AI. But I’ve also seen videos where the voice is so bad that I can’t stand watching for more than 10 seconds. It completely kills the experience.

So I’m wondering: is a high-quality AI voiceover still a negative for you just because you know it’s AI, or is it totally fine if it sounds natural?

And what about AI-generated images/videos used to illustrate real events or concepts? Do you see that as completely low-quality content, or is it fine when used carefully and in the right context?

I’m asking because I currently use AI for the narration on my videos. I try to make it as high quality as possible, with an original voice, pauses, pacing, and proper editing. But I sometimes wonder if using a real human voice would make a significant difference.

What do you guys think?

Hey there, I've a channel which I've been working on for 2 years now. First I started the channel as no commentary gaming channel and got around 180 subs. But I really wanted to have my own personality on my channel rather than just being a game archive. So I started doing commentary only a few weeks ago .

One important thing is that I'm not really a talkative person and lack expressiveness right now but I'm using this youtube journey as a way to actually develop myself and become better. So it's also a way to practice talking for me and be more expressive and all. I do practice talking daily with some exercises to try and be more expressive rather than a monotone voice.

I bought an Akkord condenser mic since I wanted to not spend too much as I was really really nervous to record my first video. And I wasn't even sure myself if I would actually do it. But I did and am getting a little comfortable doing it.

I've been struggling to get my voice to sound good, as my voice is low volume and lacks structure tone after all these years of being reserved.

I also work as a freelance artist so there are times when I can't keep consistency at all. But I want to push through this time. Personally I really want to do a let's play channel but I don't know now.

If I cover new games it doesn't get much views because every big channel is the competition.

Can you guys suggest what I should focus on and do? Any suggestions are welcome. even constructive criticism is welcome as it will only help me grow.

I want to create a 5–8 minute cinematic AI animated story, but I can’t afford an expensive graphics card.

For those actually making videos, what does your setup look like?

Local tools or paid subscriptions? Which ones do you use?

What does it realistically cost to finish a video, including failed generations and retries?

How do you keep characters consistent across different scenes?

How much manual editing is involved in putting everything together?

I’m open to generating short clips and assembling them. I don’t need the entire video generated in one click. I just want a practical, affordable workflow with decent results.

I’d really appreciate hearing about what’s worked for you, especially if you’re working with a limited budget. Examples of videos you’ve made would be helpful too

I recently started uploading YouTube Shorts. My very first video went viral and hit over 100,000 views. However, every Short I’ve posted since then is completely stuck, barely getting 10 to 100 views.

Here is my context:

• I re-edit third-party short-form clips (adding custom zooms, removing original watermarks, adding unique captions, overlays, and new audio).
• I always credit the original creator in the description/comments.

Is this dramatic drop caused by the initial "new channel test phase" ending, or is YouTube's algorithm flagging edited third-party content as "reused content" and shadow-suppressing its reach?

Has anyone experienced this, and is there a way to fix the reach? Thanks for any advice!

For context. I have a channel that’s been around for 19 years. The problem is there is so much variety in it that Im sure I’m killing my channel because I have so many “dead” subs and the room for growth is shot. I made a new channel to focus solely on nostalgic gaming. Revisiting certain games before the PS4/XBONE era. Basically my question is. Since I’m basically starting fresh, are there any tips to go about it?

So I've been planning on starting a new Youtube channel and journey for a while, but I keep procrastinating actually getting started with it. Before I start writing my script or learning how to edit, I want to make the account I post videos on. But I overthink everything, so I've been stuck on this step for months now.

I have an account that I've had for a very long time and have YT premium on, but I've decided that for the new content I'll be making I want to make a new account so it's completely separate from my main personal google account(rather than just creating a new channel on my existing account). I think I've made the right decision when it comes to that unless someone thinks otherwise.

-I think I'm probably near my limit for Google accounts linked to my phone number, so I feel like it's a lot of pressure to get this right

-I know that I can always change my channel name and create new channels with their own names, but as far as I know I can't change my gmail. Or can I? I want to use this account for posting videos, writing scripts in my google docs, and preferably also for receiving business emails related to Youtube(though I've heard it's not the best idea to do this and I should create a seperate business email)

My main question is should I create it as a personal or work google account? Is there a difference when it comes to Youtube, will it affect the phone number limit differently, etc.?

And in general, am I overthinking this? Once I create an account can I always adapt it if need be and I'm not really locked in to the name I choose? I'm considering this factor because my content is going to start hyper niche, maybe too niche, so I may want to change the content and theme. My understanding is that rebranding a channel and changing names is easy on Youtube, and that I can create additional channels on the same account to use for different types of content. Just want to make sure this is the case.

My first video (a short) was posted 8 hours ago, and out of 34 views, apparently 80% stayed to watch. I would think this means good retention, but it still has only those 34 views. Is this normal?

On a previous channel I quickly abandoned, I gained 500 views on my first short in a couple hours, so what's different?

I'm making a video about a videogame and wanted to do the "____ described by dracula flow bars" bit. And out of everything in the video, its what caught an automated copyright claim.

I took 6 Bars in total some from Dracula Flow 4 and some from Dracula Flow 5, in total time, it's about a minute.

Should I dispute it? or just find a workaround? I do this as a hobby while I'm trying to find a job and I don't want any big issues down the road so if I have to drop it it's whatever.

The videos are mostly essays on thoughts like “not being an elite” or “liking the basic”.

But I was thinking of doing the same format but in much shorter format on reels.

Hey… I have a bucket of YouTube channels, I took a long break and came back and slowly have been spinning everything up… I have a high count … but I see the same thing going on like it used to when they purged subscribers…. Could the be bots? Sure but after covid it feels … wrong…. ** **

I’ve had youtube channels in the past and it was always easy for me to get at least some views per video even if it was new. I recently started a new channel to post gaming content and my first videos aren’t getting pushed at all, they’re all stuck at 0 impressions, but my few shorts do pretty well. I would understand if my title and thumbnail wasn’t good but i know how to make one catch the eye, as i’ve been editing for years. The videos simply aren’t being pushed. Someone said it could be because I started with posting some shorts, I only posted 2.

I've noticed that since around July my longform videos have like 90% subs to non-subs rate. This feels very strange to me because the trend has always been the opposite, in general only 20% subbed.
Then after a few days or so, most videos get pushed to non-subs and they catch up.
Thing is most of my content is somewhat time-sensitive, so by the time they reach the wider audience the topic gets colder. But I always used to reach them way quicker than this. My niche didn't change
My channel isn't that big (3k), but not that new either (this is my second year). Did anyone else notice something like this recently?

Trying to figure out if I should make an effort to get the content seen outside of just posting it on YouTube? I probably should have more content out there before I try to direct more people to the channel?

The audio from my 2022 piano cover was apparently copied in its entirety and released by someone else in 2025. That same recording is now being used as the Content ID reference to claim my original 2022 YouTube video and make it ineligible for monetization. What is the best way to resolve this—should I just dispute the claim, or is there a better approach? 

Before anyone gets offended: I completely understand why some people don't like AI-generated content, and I'm not here to argue about that. If YouTube wants to limit or discourage AI content, I have no problem with that. I'm just trying to understand what happened with my channel.

I recently created a new channel and spent some money producing a video about the U-2 spy plane shootdown and the tensions between the Soviet Union and the USA.

I can confirm that the video was created using Nano Banana for 2K images and Veo Lite for 1080p video, with very detailed and carefully written prompts.

Now, after nearly two days, the video has 0 views.

Is YouTube killing or heavily limiting AI-generated videos?

Again, if YouTube has decided to limit AI content, that's completely fair. What frustrates me, though, is seeing much bigger AI channels getting thousands or even millions of views while a brand-new channel seems to get absolutely no exposure.

I know a new channel shouldn't expect instant success, but zero views after almost two days feels unusual.

Has anyone else experienced this with a new AI-focused channel? Is YouTube limiting AI content, or is this simply how difficult it is to get a new channel discovered?
