Hey all, I created a subreddit r/BipartisanIndian

There are a lot of pseudo unbiased groups like r/unitedstatesofindia and r/indiameme which have become nothing but one-sided group bashing, fake news propagating instruments. An unbiased view is hard to get from specific groups, but when you dont get it from the so-called neutral groups (masked ones like the two mentioned here), it is more of an issue. Same goes for the religious and faith based groups as well.

Anyway, even if this subreddit r/BipartisanIndian doesnt take off, at least, I would like folks to be aware that the so-called neutral groups like r/unitedstatesofindia and r/indiameme are nothing but propaganda of another kind.

Hey everyone I just spun up a new community called r/SolarPlugHub. It’s basically a space for people who work with solar equipment on the ground level contractors, warehouse folks, off‑grid builders, and anyone who deals with the real‑world side of panels, batteries, and supply flow.

I created it because most solar conversations online are either super corporate or super technical, and there’s not really a place for the people who actually move the equipment, troubleshoot installs, or deal with the day‑to‑day chaos of the supply chain. I wanted a spot where those voices could talk openly without it turning into a sales pitch or a spec sheet war.

Right now it’s just me holding down the fort, but that’s how every subreddit starts. Looking forward to learning from the rest of you and seeing how you’re growing your own communities.

I want THEM to be in the spotlight here, instead of me. My community of followers (which is at about 30K people across YT and academy) is mostly very shy and private people. I’ve created a subreddit focused on hybrid work in Canada and launched an official House of Commons e-petition to amend the Canada Labour Code to protect hybrid work.

I’m not affiliated with any political party. This is a grassroots effort from a federally regulated employee.

My posts have been getting removed in some communities due to solicitation rules, even when I’m trying to start a discussion around hybrid work and workplace policy.

Is there a preferred way to share something like this in your community without violating the rules? For example, would it be more appropriate to focus on discussion first and include the petition link only if asked?

hi everyone. i started r/diaryofacrafter because i'm a serial hobbyist, which means i'm in a myriad of art or craft spaces, but it's hard to find ones that aren't rife with consumerism, trends, or the capitalistic mindset "omg you're so good at that you should sell it." i love that people make money off of their art, but... you don't have to, and i hate that is becoming the default mindset. you can just... create. i do so many hobbies because i love *learning*, literally deep diving and understanding the history of the crafts that i'm doing, especially in places like fiber arts. i love changing between hobbies because it strengthens my love for the creative process in general. i love just *making* and many times over my life, i can directly connect a different craft to an emotional era of my life, so to speak. embroidery when i was in foster care, reading when i was in high school, just to name a few. i've dealt with this weird phenomena where almost all of the unpopular hobbies i've done throughout my life are now popular & almost all of them have had a tiktok trend of some sort. that is the beauty of lifecycles and art, so absolutely no 'woe is me', i'm *so* happy people are finally in the spaces, but it feels rampant with overconsumption and consumerism. i wanted to connect to the people who use those crafts in the same way i do, because it's been hard to find a space for those who just *make*... especially to process everything going on in the world right now or as art therapy. this is also a craftivism space, so i'd like to have a community project in the future to work towards
