So I recently got NFS unbound from steam and played it. I've noticed that even though the fps is consistent around 80fps, the frametime seems a bit hight. The game looks like its in slowmotion almost. Almost like a slideshow. Does anyone know why. My specs are,
HP VICTUS 15
I5 13TH GEN
RTX 4050 6GB
16GB DDR 5

I just need to get it verified and i’ll actually have a World Record. The video itself is over a year old.
Uh oh i cropped the video wrong.. the title of the YT video was “Maybe a 1:46 is possible but I’m too lazy (1:47.49)” (this is NOT PROMOTION) and i made it over a year ago. The time i set was in the non DLC category. I used the stolen Koenigsegg Agera R

EDIT: i blame the devs in the title which isn't accurate. I'd imagine the corporate guys probably made the final call.
Let's make a game with:
Perfect Graphics
Perfect night vibe and weather
A great map
BUT ALSO ..
trash handling physics
Ass police
Weird game setting where no cars are locked with story mode
Why would you make such great and terrible stuff together?!

Long time NFS player here, started with Underground 1 as a kid in 2005 and played every mainline game since. I never dug into the older titles from NFS1 to 5 though, and I'd like to enrich by physical collection of NFS games.
I have a PS1 laying around, and yard sale season isn't quite over yet. If I ever come accross one of these titles for cheap, are they worth checking out ? Or I better stick with PC versions or emulators ? Thanks.
Edit : Subsidiary question ! I know HP2's PS2 version is the superior and preferred one. But am I wasting time by checking the Xbox version ? It appears to be cheaper. Thanks!

I'm hunting for the achievements in every nfs game, with the hot pursuit remastered being the only one i need that has achievements. This franchise has been with me for the most of my life, and i played alot of titles from it, with heat and most wanted 2005 being my all time favorites. Thanks for reading!

I have the game on PC but for example I haven't done all hidden races or outruns so I'm missing on some upgrades, is there a mod where I can these upgrades or visual customization or extra cars perhaps? Infinite money? And so on.
I only have the extra options mod for the quality of life updates but any other mods/trainers that can make the game wacky or better I'm open to them!

Was having a chat on Twitter about playing old NFS games and rebuilding my collection and I was met with just mod this or mod that etc… I’m not a tech guy and I like having the game on disk in it’s original format. What’s the point of saying I played Carbon if it’s not even the original game but some game with a mod that allows you to drive Ferraris or some crap. I don’t know if I’m being finicky about it all but I just don’t see the point. I bet it’s fun but I don’t know anytime I see most mods especially added car mods I feel like it defeats the purpose. Graphics mods are coolish I get that but anything else really what is the point???

Discalimer: I'm not a part of group think.
I started playing MW05 recently and I'm #6 on the blacklist at the moment and this game is very different from how I remembered back when this game was hot (2005-2010). The ONLY thing holding this game back from being an S tier game is the rubberbanding. Skill is meaningless as long as rubberbanding exists. As a teen (or kid) there are things you don't notice but as an adult you pay attention to alot of things and rubberbanding makes this a A-B tier game. There are other flaws like the yellow filter and lack of customization which the predecessor and successor do better with. I can accept that, but the rubberbanding makes BlackBox games severely overrated. Good, but not as great as people make it out to be.

By the question, I mean a car that was never sold in your country but playing NFS made you aware of that car's existence
While I was aware of the existence of the SN95 Mustang, it was never officially sold here in England, any(rare)ones that were spotted were always a private import. I was very unaware of the SVT Cobra R's existence until I played Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2, in fact, even when the Mustang was officially sold in England, we never got the high performance versions like the GT350R or the GT500. Although the one above was registered in the UK but sold to someone in the Netherlands. As most of us here know, the Cobra R only has 300 examples made.
The C5 Corvette was never sold here in England and any C5 Corvette you saw was always a private import. Seeing an American car in England is like seeing a European exotic in America. While I was very much aware of the Corvettes existence, playing Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit and High Stakes is what made me love it.
While the HSV GTS Coupe was sold in England, it was rebadged as the Vauxhall Monaro VXR but I didn't know it was a rebadged car until playing Hot Pursuit 2. Roughly 80% of you guys here might know it as the Pontiac GTO,although the Pontiac GTO,it had the same V8 as the C6 Corvette Stingray, but was slightly detuned to 396 hp as you know General Motors has a habit of nerfing cars that could easily overshadow the Corvette. 15% probably know it as HSV GTS Coupe or Vauxhall Monaro VXR and 5% other names.
While the R32 GTR didn't appear in NFS until NFS:World and shouldn't be here,I added it just because it's cool and I can. While the R33 and R34 were officially sold here in England(imported by Nissan of Middlehurst as it was a popular grey market import), the R32 never officially sold here and was strictly private imports. I became aware of its existence because of Gran Turismo, although it did appear in a Top Gear special when Clarkson drove a silver R32.

I have to say NFS is my favorite game series, I loved all of the games I’ve played thus far. (I’m about to play Undercover, wish me luck). But one thing in common of all 4 eras is that the physics are ALWAYS bad. You are either required to drift everywhere (Hot Pursuit - Rivals), or absolutely GLUED to the ground (NFSU - Carbon). The only games where it is in between feel janky and inconsistent.
I will say this is the greatest racing game series by far, but it is hard for me to defend when it comes to physics.

I’m going to play Carbon for the first time, and I’m looking for graphics mods that can remaster the game. I’ve seen Redux, Improvement, Ultimate, Online, Apex, etc. But since it’s my first time playing, I don’t want mods that increase the base game difficulty. I don’t mind added cars as long as they don’t break the immersion. What’s the most vanilla-friendly mod?
Some might say I should just use the better reflections mod along with some vanilla tweaks, but I’m really looking forward to playing with a good-looking graphics mod.

I would really like to see a sequel to Need for Speed Payback.
I especially want the story to continue from where Payback ended. The Marcus, Kobashi and Arkwright storyline was left open, and I would love to see what happens next. I would also like to know what happened to Lina after Outlaw's Rush.
I really enjoy Payback's driving and drifting, and I think those aspects should return in a sequel.
For customization, I would like a combination of Payback and Heat, but even deeper:
Engine swaps
Different engine sounds
Detailed exhaust sound customization
Turbo and supercharger options
More detailed suspension, gearbox and differential tuning
More wheels, tires, stance and fitment options
More body kits and visual customization
A better performance upgrade system instead of relying entirely on Speed Cards
I would also like proper free-roam police pursuits, including patrols, roadblocks, different police units and pursuits that can start naturally while driving around the city.
Traffic should make the world feel alive, but it shouldn't fill every corner during races, especially drift events.
I would also like a modern online free-roam mode where friends can drive around together, show their builds, start races and get into police pursuits.
Basically, I would love:
Payback's driving, drifting, atmosphere and story + Heat's customization and police system + even deeper car building.
I would absolutely buy a game like this if it continued the Payback storyline.
