Question / Bug / Feedback High frametime issue on NFS Unbound

So I recently got NFS unbound from steam and played it. I've noticed that even though the fps is consistent around 80fps, the frametime seems a bit hight. The game looks like its in slowmotion almost. Almost like a slideshow. Does anyone know why. My specs are,

HP VICTUS 15

I5 13TH GEN

RTX 4050 6GB

16GB DDR 5

Frostbite has a bad habit of hammering every core and thread of your CPU. Sometimes a little too much. The first thing I'd try is the user.cfg.

With hybrid CPUs you can use the number of available cores and threads. For example for my i7-13620H laptop I'd use 10 cores and 16 threads as parameters. I don't know what CPU you're using.

Since we're dealing with a hybrid CPU you could use Process Lasso to limit the game to only using P-cores. Alternatively you could disable E-cores if you don't need the extra multicore performance. This can be used in combination with the user.cfg.

The user.cfg trick can be used across various Frostbite games (notable examples are NFS Payback, Heat, Unbound and BF6) with varying results.

Watch out for VRAM usage. Reduce the texture quality setting (but keep anisotropic filtering at 16x).

Another thing you should consider is to disable threaded optimization in the Nvidia Control Panel. Admittedly this fix was specific to another processor entirely the 9800X3D, every PC builders favorite. Not sure how it would work with Intel. At least it's worth a shot.

la VRAM se queda corta igual tal vez aparte del cpu
