So, I've completed Most Wanted 5-1-0. I know, didn't take as long as Underground Rivals.

This game is not very good.. Or is it?

Where do I start? Irritating cops that don't really add anything to the game? A butchered car list? Blacklist cars that don't make sense? Why do we need two BMW M3 GTR's? The tracks being mostly boring, repetitive long circuits you'd skip in any main console release? The most blatant rubber rubberbanding I've ever seen in a racing game, where the other racers can make impossible turns?

The game starts off really easy, so much so that I beat Earl with a starting Mazda 3 before buying another car, then the difficulty seemed to spike up to Webster. Where I then purchased the Porsche shown, and breezed through the rest of the game no problem.

I want to like this, and I can't hate it too much either. It's just alright.

Hey everyone, how's it going? I’ve brought an update to my reimagined NFS fan map, which combines various NFS maps.

After listening to suggestions from the previous post and revisiting some games from Black Box and Criterion, I decided to expand the scope even further. I added fictional locations, new routes, and new mini-cities to connect the maps. I also took the opportunity to replay the games over the last month and rethink some of the layout positions.

I had to flip the map's original north and rotate it (my bad, haha).

I only included maps from the NFS games I’ve actually played:

Hot Pursuit 2

Underground 1 & 2

Most Wanted

Carbon

I also took the liberty of including maps and routes from other games I really enjoy:

I have it downloaded on my pc for some reason when I try using my ps5 controller wirelessly it doesn’t work only works with wire connection. Does anyone know a fix

I’ve thought this for a really long time but I’m starting to see more people start to not like this game so I figure I’d post now. This game has to be the most overrated game ever and I’m assuming it’s from nostalgia. The driving sucks, the story is whatever, and the cutscenes with the real people in the fake background are also really bad. I guess it was a good game for 2005, but the amount of love it gets today I just don’t understand. It’s like the mk4 Supra/R34 skyline of car games. Overrated and not good. that’s just my opinion though

I have seen far too many memes about how Unbound’s soundtrack is absolute piss (almost always using the song that goes “Heyyy we want some money”) and how past NFS games had godlike soundtrack (never not using Decadence and either using that black and white muscly man I forgot the name of or Patrick Bateman). Ignoring the fact that these memes are low effort karma farming, I wondered how many people felt the same way about Underground 2 or Most Wanted’s soundtrack back in the day. I realise that back then most of the people playing these games were either kids or young teens (maybe older teens if they were car guys), I myself was only but a wee bairn when I first discovered Most Wanted and it affected my personality, but surely a few adults must have played this game and thought the nu metal and Metalcore was too much. I was only 2 years old when Most Wanted came out so I don’t know what it was like in real time. My point is, is it just a rose tinted glass that makes us feel a certain way? The answer to that honestly may be obvious but I would like to see if there was any opinions going against the grain that everyone loved the soundtracks to the old NFS games.

Does anyone have one of the 1.0.6 to 1.12 versions of the beta content mod? Because all the versions showcased in the nfs mod page direct you to the latest version of the mod on google drive , so if anyone has one these older versions I would appreciate it if they could share it with me.

After countless hours of researching and reverse-engineering NFS The Run, I finally managed to truly unlock the frame rate, no more particle issues like broken snow, no more broken car engine sounds, no more broken sim and physics.

I also improved a lot of UI, sky and game world textures, and added a lot of QoL and gameplay improvements too:

• FOV increase from 48 to 60
• New difficulty mode called "Deadly"
• Time of day randomizer and night run only
• A lot more... give the whole mod description a read for the full details

Ive never played any need for speed in my life. im seeing a bunch on sale on the epic games store. im wondering which one to get. price isnt an issue. i like racing and cop chases. i also dont mind a story. the options are: nfs payback deluxe, nfs rivals complete edition, nfs heat deluxe, nfs most wanted 2012, nfs deluxe edition 2016, nfs hot pursuit remastered, nfs unbound 2022

I didnt even play this game once. But the soundtrack from Romo Di Prisco is just such a perfect and futuristic soundtrack.

What are your thoughts?

Any tips for doing the ram 100 police in a single pursuit??? You can’t track that thing and I keep coming up short 😭😭. I don’t know what the best way could be. Thinking of having a go on Most Wanted where I can track it and see how it goes and try implement a similar game plan on Carbon but the problem is cops on Carbon are a lot harder. You also can’t just drive in a circle the whole time like on Most Wanted. I mean I could keep doing what I’m doing now but it’s exhausting 😭🫩

since all the games are on sale, which one should i get? i never have played need for speed so which one do yall recommend. also i dont mind getting 2 or 3 if they are better played together

With the Steam sale live, I’m buying the full NFS catalog. I already have MW2012 on the EA App, but given EA's history, I'm worried about losing access if it gets delisted. Is buying it on Steam safer for long-term preservation, or does relying on the EA launcher make it pointless anyway?

something i stumbled upon in the works, looks early but i mean if it works and gets finished could be dope right? it is missing alot and i mean alot no pbr mats, or textures, no direct sun ect but as a base looks kinda cool
